Push Up

Motivational Power Quote

Push Up
“There are two ways of exerting one’s strength:
one is pushing down,
the other is pulling up.”
Brooker T. Washington, educator

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Push up

There are two ways that a person can lead their lives and find their real strength and purpose.

One can lead a life of pushing the people around down. They will also try to suppress the person’s personal growth and ambition while restraining their progress and success.

This type of person has self-esteem issues and they try to conceal it by treating the people around them very harshly. Pushing people down gives the person the allusion of satisfaction.

This person will eventually self-destruct.

There is another type of person that spends their lifetime in pulling and pushing people up.

They are the mentors in life, that person will be there to give a person boost at just the right time and help them to push up when it’s needed.

The mentors are the giver in life and what they do is not done for recognition or personal gain. The giver gains person satisfaction in helping other succeed and helping them to achieve their goals.

But something happens along the way for a giver, they become recognized for what they do and what they have contributed to others. They will attract success through their efforts of giving.

The path way to success and achievement is to push up.

Quality is Never an Accident

 Motivational Power Quote

Quality is Never an Accident

“Quality is never an accident;

it is always the result of high intentions,

sincere effort, intelligent direction

and skillful exclusion;

it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.”

Willa A. Foster,
As I see it. . . . . . . .

Quality is never an accident

Quality is a philosophy and a commitment to excellences backed up with our consistent actions that reinforces that what we deliver is superior in its nature.

People will judge us on the level of the quality that we consistently deliver to them and we meet their expectations. When expectations are exceeded business furnishes and referrals become possible.

Quality is never an accident it’s an on purpose activity that sets a higher standard of commitment and execution.

There Are Two Choices

Motivational Power Quote

There Are Two Choices
“There are many ways of going forward,
But only one way of standing still.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd President of the United States

As I see it . . . . . . .

There Are Two Choices

There are two choices that will have a dramatic impact on our career and the level of success we achieve.

One choice is too continually to move forward in the direction of our goals and the other is to stand still and let the world passed us by.

In moving forward there will be setbacks and obstacles that we will face and have to overcome. Setbacks and obstacles are temporary conditions and may slow us down. But we have stay focused on our goals and work through them and not become distracted.

We may encounter detours along the way that will cause us to adjust and take a new path. Take the path the moves you in the direction of your goals.

Our success journey is not an expressway to success, it’s a toll road and we have to pay the price of success as we go. At times the price may seem high but as you get to your destination and look back at your success journey you can say that the price was a small price to pay for success.

There are two choices, make the choice to move forward.

Turn Your Obstacles into Opportunities

Motivational Power Quote

Turn Your Obstacles into Opportunities
“Entrepreneurs are simply those
who understand that there is little difference
between obstacle and opportunity
and are able to turn both to their advantage.”
Niccole Machiavelli, Italian renaissance writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Turn your obstacles into opportunities

Entrepreneurs see obstacles as the seeds of opportunity, and make the most of any situation that they find themselves in.

Obstacles are a fact of life and we do encounter them; they can happen at any time and will come in many shapes and sizes. When you’re presented with an obstacle step back for a moment and see it from a positive prospective, look for the opportunity and solution. Apply the actions that will change the obstacles into an opportunity and stay focused the desired results until you achieve the desired outcome.

How you handle obstacles is a choice. Make a choice to master you life and business, and turn your obstacles into opportunities.

Your Glass of Life

Motivational Power Quote

Your Glass of Life
“Stop asking if the glass is half full or half empty.
Instead ask ‘what’s in it?’
How did it get there?
What can I do with it?”
David Kaufman, actor

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your glass of life

How do you see your glass of life? Do you see your glass as being filled with abundance or do you see it running on empty?

Also you might want to know, how did all the stuff get into my glass? If the stuff that’s in your glass is stuff that you want in your glass then find a way to go out and get more of it and keep your glass fill.

If you look at the stuff that’s in your glass and you decide you don’t want it the glass any longer, empty it so there room in your glass for more of what your want.

Remember it’s your glass and it’s your choice on what you put into your glass and how full your glass becomes.

A great question to ask your self is how do I take what in my glass and put it to its best use to help me achieve my goals and a fuller life?

Your glass of life belongs to you and you have take control what goes into your glass, how full you keep your glass and how you use the stuff that’s in your glass.

Be Happy

Motivational Power Quote

Be Happy
“Be happy. Talk happiness.
Happiness calls out responsive gladness in others.
There is enough sadness in the world without yours,
never doubt the excellence and permanence
of what is yet to be.
Join the great company of those who make
the barren place of life fruitful with kindness.
Your success and happiness lie in you.
The great enduring realities are love and service.
Resolve to keep happy and your joy and
you shall form an invincible host against difficulties.”
Helen Keller author and humanitarian

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Be happy

Some people choose to be happy and look at the things in their life from the prospective of a positive prism. It not that happy people experience less challenges in their life in reality they don’t they choose to be happy. You see another person that’s happy and you say to yourself that the person must be happy because they have less stress in their life and they not experienced setbacks and failure in their life.

Having money doesn’t bring lasting happiness, we all know people that are financially well off and are not happy.

So what creates happiness?

Happiness is IN the person Not IN material things, a person has to be first happy with them self before they can be happy with the people in their lives.

Happy people encounter setbacks and failure like everyone else. The big difference with the happy person is the way they look at things and how they respond to the conditions that come into their lives.

They will look that the conditions as temporary.

Then they will evaluate the conditions to determine what’s important, what they have under their control to determine the outcome and what is the order of priorities. But they will take an addition step; they will evaluate what can be left undone without a negitive effort on the overall outcome.

Happy people don’t buckle under to conditions or under pressures and they being that philosophy to their life and relationships.

Happy people attract happiness into life through the way they think and by staying in control of their emotions. You will find that your emotions come from within and those emotions are then expressed in our relationships and actions. We will either allow the emotions of happiness to grow within us or it shrivel and fade away and be replaced be the emotion of unhappiness.

You can be happy if you work at being happy.

Some People Will Support You Others Won’t

Motivational Power Quote

Some People Will Support You Others Won’t
“People will exercise great effort and creativity
to make our plan work,
and sometimes expend just as much effort and creativity
to make your plan fail.”
Bob Klas, CEO Tapemark

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Some people will support you other won’t
You have to find the right person, the one that will support you in achieving your goals and dreams. They will become a special person in your life, one that will help to grow your potential to become the person that we where meant to be.
They will be there for you on the good days and they will be there to support you through the challenges that you encounter. The important thing is that they are there for you.
As important as it is to have someone to support you on your success journey it’s equally important for you to know who you will have to avoid.
There are people that you will meet that their number one goal in life will be to distract you and detail your success journey. They get personal satisfaction when they see people fail and they will do everything in their power to push a person into the direction of failure.
Pick your associations wisely and associate with the people that will booster you and mentor you in the direction of success.
Some people will support you others won’t, find the people that will make a positive differences in your life. Treat them like gold because they are one of your most precious asset and resource to booster you on your success journey.

Knowing When To Say No

Motivational Power Quote

Knowing When To Say No
“Success depends on getting good at saying
no without feeling guilty.
You cannot get ahead with your own goals if
your always saying yes to someone else’s projects
You can only get ahead with your desired lifestyle
if you are focused on the things that will produce that lifestyle.”
Jack Canfield, author and success coach

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Knowing when to say no

There are many demands on our time and we are continuously being pulled in many directions. Some of the things that we’re being asked to do will help us in our career while other things are just the right thing to do. While other things that we’re asked to do will become distracters on our success journey.

We have to know what to say yes to and when we have to say no.

When we are asked to accept a task we have to ask our self the following questions. Is it the best use of my time to undertake the task now? What is the positive impact on my life, my career and will it bring me closer to my goals? If the answer to the questions is yes then taking action will have positive an impact on achieving our goals?
If the answer is yes it becomes a proactive activity that will assist us to continue to move closer to success, fulfilling our goals and dreams then we should strongly consider to doing the activity.

If the answer to the question is a no because we can see our self being distracted and we can see ourselves being moved further away from our goals as a result of the activity then answer to the activity is no.
Knowing when to say no is by itself an activity. It becomes an activity of controlling your life’s direction through your decisions and maximizing your activities to have a positive impact on your life and career and in achieving your goals.

A Characteristic Of Highly Successful People

 Motivational Power Quote

A Characteristic Of Highly Successful People
“If I had to select one, quality on personal characteristic,
That I regard as being most highly correlated with success,
whatever the field, I would pick that trait of persistence.”
Richard De Vos, Amway co-founder

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A characteristic of highly successful people

Successful people stand out in their chosen field and in their life.

One of the key characteristic of highly successful people is their persistence. They are committed to see their success journey through to a successful conclusion. They have dedicated their energy and efforts to ensure that they achieve their goals.

A person with persistence is a person with a purpose and that purpose drives them to maintain the focus on the big picture and not to become distracted by the obstacles and setbacks they encounter on their success journey.
A characteristic of highly successful people is the little difference that makes the big difference on the level of success that they achieve. That differences in their persistence to remain focused on their goals through thick and thin and not to quit on themselves or their goals.

You Have to Start Digging to Find Buried Treasure

Motivational Power Quote

You Have to Start Digging to Find Buried Treasure
“The trick is that you can’t find the hidden treasure
until you start digging.
Often enough if you take the leap and do something,
something will happen.
Probably not what you thought,
but something.”
Debbie Fields, Founder of Mrs. Fields Chocolate Cookies

As I see it. . . . . . . .

You have to start digging to find buried treasure

Success much like buried treasure can be within your reach but you won’t find it until you start digging for it.

The pathway to success requires a leap of faith to step out of our comfort zone and to start digging in the opportunity zone. As we step into the opportunity zone we set the wheels into motion for our life’s journey. The wheels will either carry us forward into the success zone, or we allow the wheels to roll backwards moving us away our objectives and our goals.

You have to start digging to find buried treasure and you have to direct the course that your life takes in order to have your life take in the direct that you want it to take.

The Tougher The Odds The Sweeter The Victory

Motivational Power Quote

The Tougher The Odds The Sweeter The Victory
“Success is not measured by what a person accomplishes,
but by the opposition they have encountered,
and the courage with which they have
maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.”
Orison Swett Marden, American Writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The tougher the odds the sweeter the victory

When we labor against overwhelming odds and turn the situation into success there is a great sense of achievement in the efforts and in the results.

Where we have succeeded in the face of very little resistance we will certainly take the success. But we don’t have the same the real sense of victory as we do when we face a tougher situation.

When we work as hard as we can and stretch our limits against great odds, we will find that the tougher the odds the sweeter the victory.

The Real You Comes Out Under Pressure

Motivational Power Quote

The Real You Comes Out Under Pressure
“When you squeeze an orange,
orange juice comes out –
because, that’s what’s inside.
When you are squeezed,
what comes out is
what inside you.”
Dr.Wayne Dyer, self – development author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The real you comes out under pressure

Under pressure some people will break records and go onto achieve great things, while other people will break under the pressure.

Pressure creates a great deal of stress in person’s life. Each person reacts different to the pressure and how the person responds to the pressure will determine what course of action the person will take.

The person the can control the stress that the pressure creates will be able to respond to the pressure proactively and stay in control of their emotions and respond with a purpose.

If the person becomes overwhelmed by the pressure they will act out of anxiety and will become reactive to the pressure and will lose control of their emotions and the situation.

The person that can control their emotions controls the pressure effectively. In controlling your pressure the real you comes out under pressure.

Our Character Is a Result of Our Habits

Motivational Power Quote

Our Character Is a Result of Our Habits
“Our character is basically a composite of our habits.
because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns,
they constantly, daily, express our character.”
Stephen R. Covey, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Our character is a result of our habits

Whatever we consistently do, will become a habit and our habits become the foundation of our character.

Our character is formed in our habits and we demonstrate our character through our daily actions.

To form a strong character we have to develop the habits of the type people that we want to be like. Our character becomes ingrained into our personally and becomes a way of life. We will routinely demonstrate our character in behavior without a conscious thought because they have been ingrained into our sub-conscious mind.

A person lives their character as part of their moral fiber and their character becomes their calling card. A person can’t fake character, a person will either have it or they won’t.

Our character is a result of our habits and habits will be formed by our choices.

The Real Heart of Business is The People

Motivational Power Quote

The Real Heart of Business is The People
“The mechanics of industry is easy.
The real engine is the people:
their motivation and direction.”
Ken Gilbert, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The real heart of business is the people

The difference between a good company and a great company are the people.

A team of motivated people will boost the morale of the entire company. Their motivation will rub off on the people that they come in contact with. A team of motivated people will pull the people together to work as a team to achieve the company goals.

The people set the tone for a business and become the spirit of the business.

They Can Try to Knock You Down

Motivational Power Quote

They Can Try to Knock You Down
“If you keep work at it,
in the last analysis you win.
They’ve got to kill us a hundred times.
all we have to kill them once.”
Frederick Smith, Federal Express founder

As I see it. . . . . . . .

They can try to knock you down
When someone trying to knocks you down you can give and go down for the count. Or you can stand strong in the face of adversity and let your inner strength lift you above the fray.

If you find someone tying to push you in the wrong direction step away from that person and continue your success journey. Let their momentum pull them away from you.

If a person manages to knock you down get up. Don’t give them the personal satisfaction of seeing down and discouraged. Remember the person that is trying to knock you down is a person who wastes their energy and time engaging in negative activities and in time that person will waste their live and crash and burn.

Getting knock is a temporary condition unless you decide to stay down. Make the choice to get up and push forward.

They can try to knock to down, but the only person that can keep you down and that is you.

Take Responsibility For Your Failures and Your Successes

Motivational Power Quote

Take Responsibility For Your Failures and Your Successes
“As a leader, you have to take responsibility
for your our failure as well as successes.
That’s the only way you’ll learn.
If you keep learning, you’ll improve.
If you improve, your leadership will get better.
And in time you will earn the right to lead
on the level you deserve.”
John C. Maxwell, Leadership Expert and Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Take responsibility for your failures and your successes

Over a lifetime we will experience the emotions from the highest of highs with our successes, and yet there will be days where we experience the lowest of lows from a failure.

With each experience that we have there is an opportunity to learn.

The lessons from our life experiences become invaluable lessons that can apply to move our careers forward and in the direction of success.

When we can effectively apply the lessons of both our successes and our failures we’re applying real world lessons from our past to build a better and more successful future.

Take the responsibility for your failures and your successes and keep an open mind to turn experiences into a spring board to your future success.

The Urge To Be of Service to Others

Motivational Power Quote

The Urge To Be of Service to Others
“True heroism is remarkably sober,
very undramatic.
It is the urge to surpass all others
at whatever cost,
but the urge to serve other at whatever cost.”
Arthur Ashe, tennis champion

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The urge to be of service to others

The people who are willing to be of service to others are the real hero’s in life. They are people who are willing to step up and to what’s required in the service of other.

It’s not about personal gain or for the recognition because so many times the only person that knows what has been done is the person that has stepped up and served.

When the opportunity arises reach back and extend a help hand.

When the urge to be of service to others is there to take the challenge to help others and you will touch people lives in so many ways and you will change the life of untold people and in the end you will also be helping yourself.

Two Kinds Of People

Motivational Power Quote

Two Kinds Of People
“My grandfather once told me that there
were two kinds of people:
those who do the work and those who take the credit.
He told me to try to be in the first group;
there was much less competition.”
Indira Gandhi, Indian Prime Minister

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Two kinds of people

We see them in our lives everyday, there is a group of people who go out and get the job done without looking for fanfare. They will do what has to be done when it needs to be done.

There is another group who looks to take the credit for what is done well and disassociate themselves from anything that is not done successful.

Group one are the movers and shakers and focus on getting things done and they don’t look for recognition. These are the people that people will seek out when a job has to be done and done well.

Group two does very little and is looking for credit for what other people accomplish. People in this group can scam the system for awhile but over time they will be found out for what they don’t do. They talk a good story but do very little.

The people in group one will be appreciated by the group of people that they surround themselves with for someone that can be counted on and a valued resource.

There are two kinds of people, one that counter on and on that tries to talk a good game.

The What If Factor

Motivational Power Quote

The What If Factor
“Successful teams address the ‘what if’ before they
occur and are prepared to take
proper action should a problem arise.
Clear procedures improve productivity,
increase efficiency guesswork that
can lead to unwise decisions.
That’s why the Blue Angels
continually test and evaluate
each member’s procedural understanding.”
Scott Beare and Michael McMillan, authors

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The what if factor

Life is a series of adjustments and changes. The person that prepares themselves for “the what if factor” in their lives is preparing themselves for success is a shifting business environment.

The what if factor; will move us from reacting to shifts to responding to shifts with planning and preparation. When were prepared we increase our probability of success and reduces the stress levels in our life. We also create a high degree of confidence in our actions.

In being prepared for the shifts in our lives we make far better decisions as result of our preparing for the shifts in advance. Reacting without preparation is a recipe for frustration and limited results.

The what if factor; is responding to the shifts in our lives with well thought out planning and preparation.

What We Consistently Do We Will Become

Motivational Power Quote

What We Consistently Do We Will Become
“In essence, if we want to direct our lives,
we must take control of consistent actions.
It’s not what we do one in a while
that shapes our lives,
but what we do consistently”
Anthony Robbins, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

What we consistently do we will become

The actions that we consistently repeat we become. Our actions become ingrained into our sub-conscious mind until repeating them becomes a habit. What we consistently do we become and form the habits in your actions. Those actions either will either move us in the direction of success and achievement of our goals or our actions will move in the wrong direction and further away from your goals.

Think before your act and plan before you take action

Act in accordance to what you want to accomplish and in who you want to become.

What we consistently do we will become. Be a person in your action that moves you in the direction of your goals and success.

By taking control of your actions you take control of the direction that your life takes and your results.

You first become who you want to be in your thinking and become that person in your action.

and the more your pursue opportunity,
the more security you will achieve.”
Brian Tracy, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

What your mind can conceive you will achieve.

A Well Thought Out Plan

Motivational Power Quote

A Well Thought Out Plan
“To do twice as much in half the time,
you can’t approach your goals haphazardly.
A well thought out plan will keep you clearly
on track towards your goals,
and methods of planning are varied as our personalities.”
Amy Jones, photographer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A well though out plan

A well thought out plan being clarity and focus to your life and your success journey. Your plan will give you a road map for your success journey to follow and a list of the mile markers to let you know that you’re on course.

Your plan may not be the quickest or the most direct route, but the most effective road to travel to achieve a successful outcome.

There are no short cuts to success. Short cuts are compromises that lead down the wrong path. That path is one of wasted efforts, frustration and failure.

To achieve your goals we need to be committed to our goals and our success journey to achieve the desired results.

A well thought out plan is worth its weight in gold and will become the road map for our success journey.

Our Toughest Competition

Motivational Power Quote

Our Toughest Competition
“Our business in life is not to get ahead of others,
but to get ahead of ourselves –
to break our records,
to outstrip our yesterdays by our today.”
Steward B. Johnson, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Our toughest competition

We come face to face with the competition everyday of our lives. We face the competition every time that we look into the mirror; the competition is the competition of our mind.

To achieve greatness in our lives we have to become better at the things we do. To achieve success we have to be better today then we were yesterday.

The foundation of long term success is found in constant incremental improvement. That is where we compete with ourselves on a daily basis and continue to get better.

The standards of improvement are how much do we improve by measuring our progress against ourselves. In the long run we have to face ourselves everyday and we are the only that can make an honest evaluation of our self, our progress and improvement.

Our toughest competition is our self; and to get better then our competition we need to have personal and constant incremental improvement on a daily basis.
