Time Doesn’t Change Things…We Do

Motivational Power Quote

Time Doesn’t Change Things…We Do
“They say that time changes things,
but you actually have to change them yourself.”
Andy Warhol, an American artist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Time doesn’t change things . . . we do

The things in our life stay the same until we take the steps to change them. Things may evolve without our input.

If we’re not happy with the conditions in our lives there is on one person that can change them and we look that person in the eye everyday in a mirror and that person is us.

When it comes to change we are responsible for the change that we want to see. If we want change we have to take the actions that will bring about the change we want to see.

Time doesn’t change things . . . we do.

Sacrifice Today To Be What You Can Be Tomorrow

Motivational Power Quote

Sacrifice Today To Be What You Can Be Tomorrow
“Happiness can be defined, in part at least,
as the fruit of the desire and ability
to sacrifice what you want now
for what we want eventually.”
Stephen R. Covey, author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Sacrifice today to be what you can be tomorrow

Lay the ground work for your future. Sacrifice the quick fixes of today and lay a solid foundation for your future success.

Quick fixes are normally a short term fix at best and will not create lasting momentum or success. Most quick fixes require a do over and there will be misplaced energy creating a strain on our resources including a time drain.

Go for the gold and long term results. Sacrifice the quick fixes of today and strive for excellences in your days and in your efforts to create the long view for a successful future.

There is a great sense of satisfaction in pursuing your goals and in successfully achieving your goals and objectives.

Sacrifice today to be what you can be tomorrow commitment yourself to your success journey not quick fixes. Invest your time, effort and energy doing what it will take to achieve the desired outcome.

Pay The Price To Succeed

Motivational Power Quote

Pay The Price To Succeed
“Success is like anything worthwhile it has a price.
You have to pay the price to win and you have to pay
the price to get to the price where success is possible.
Most important, you must pay the price to stay there.”
Vince Lombardi, football coach

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Pay the price to succeed

The person that’s determined to succeed commits themselves to the pursuit of their success and the price that has to be paid to achieve their goals. They realize that their success journey is not a free ride to the top. They understand that there is a price to that has to be paid to succeed and a price to stay on top.

The success journey is a toll road and to reach the top of our profession we have to be willing to pay the tolls to reach our destination.

The person with the desire to succeed but is unwilling to pay the tolls will find that their success journey will come to a stop at the toll booth of life. Their success journey will only go as far as their commitment to pay the price to succeed.

The person that commits themselves to succeed is focused on their purpose of seeking and achieving success. The person that commits themselves to pay the price now to succeed now has a purpose and the motivation to succeed.

We pay the price to succeed and it may seem high as we travel the path of our success journey. When we achieve success and look back on our success journey and will see that the price was small price to pay in comparison to our achievements.

Lessons From Our Experiences

Motivational Power Quote

Lessons From Our Experiences
“Experience is a hard teacher
because she gives the test first,
the lesson afterwards.”
Vernon Law, former major league baseball player

As I see it . . . . . . .

Lessons from our experiences

There are lessons in our experiences. We can choose to learn the lessons from those experiences or we can choose to turn a blind eye to the experiences and be doomed to repeat them.

When we choose to learn the lessons from our experiences no matter if the experience as been positive or negative we walk away from the experience as a better and smarter person.

Our experience becomes the teacher and the lessons are learned after the fact.

Life can deal us some very challenging situations and the experiences can be very hard at the time. Those experiences can form valuable lessons for the future to build our confidence as a decision maker.

The lessons from our experiences can become a spring broad into the future. Using the lessons our experiences we create a road map for our success journey on what to do and what to avoid.

The Power of Your Thoughts

Motivational Power Quote

The Power of Your Thoughts
“The mind is its own place,
and in itself
can make a Heaven of Hell,
or a Hell of Heaven.”
John Milton, (1606-1674) English poet

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The power of your thoughts
The power of your thoughts will make us the person we become.

The human mind is a powerful computer that processes your thoughts into information. That information will be processed and then stored in your mind as either positive or negative thoughts.

The positive information stored in your mind creates positive thoughts and positive actions. People who are positive thinkers have a positive outlook about themselves, their abilities and the world around them.

Their positive thinking makes them the person they are.

The power of your thoughts will make us who we think we are.

Stretch for Success

Motivational Power Quote

Stretch for Success
“Goals need to be configured
to stretch us,
but not to break us.”
Kent Krive, success coach

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Stretch for success . . . .

Reach for the brass ring.

The brass ring seems to be out of our reach but we can see it. As we go around we have to continue to stretch our self to reach the brass ring.

To reach the brass ring we will have to stretch beyond our comfort zone and into the possibility zone. It’s a little farther than we have stretched in the past but with an extra effort we can reach the brass ring.

Our goals are like the brass ring we can see then but we’ll have to stretch to achieve them.

They will take an extra effort on our part and we will have to stretch our self.

Goals should cause us to stretch, but they should not break us in the pursuit to achieve them.

Stretch for success . . . . reach for the brass ring and grasp your goals.

It’s Possible When We Believe It’s Possible

Motivational Power Quote

It’s Possible When We Believe It’s Possible
“If you limit your choices only to what
seems possible or reasonable,
you disconnect yourself
from what you truly want,
and all that left is a compromise.”
Robert Fritz, author and management consultant

As I see it. . . . . . . .

It’s possible when we believe it’s possible

There are no limitations on what can be possible, when we believe that it’s possible.

The difference between what is possible and what is not possible is fundamentally in our thinking. What a person believes is the foundation of their actions.

When a person believes it to be possible in their thoughts they will pursue what they believe with passion and will go through brick walls to create successful results.

It’s possible when we believe it’s possible and we do what has to be done when we believe that we can do it.

Success is a Work in Process

Motivational Power Quote

Success is a Work in Process
“A man watches his pear tree day after day,
impatient for the ripening of the fruit.
Let him attempt to force the process,
and he may spoil both the fruit and tree.
But let him patiently wait,
and the ripe pear, at length fails into this lap.”
Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Success is a work in process

Success is much like the pear tree. We have to cultivate the fields of our career before we can plant the seeds of our success. In our career we have to prepare our mind and spirit and make a personal commitment to pursue our success with passion.

The first step of success is preparation.

Once we have prepared ourselves for success we plant the seeds for a successful career. To see our career flourish we have to plant our seeds of success to grow deep roots to withstand the winds of our challenges that we will face in our life.

The second step of success is we have to plant the seeds of success to grow deep roots.

When our success seeds have been success planted the real work begin. We will have to continually work the field of our career to ensure the tree grows and bears fruit.

The third step of success is we have to maintain our success journey with the continuous enchantment of knowledge and skills and be a life long learner.

Success is a work in process and at times a moving target. Our advanced preparation will get us started on the right path and gives us the ability to adjust to the changing conditions in our life.

We have to put down deep roots and stand strong in the face of adversity. There will be no success without the commitment to weather the storms in our life.

Success is a work in process and is achieved when we focus on the process of success and our efforts on continuous personal improvement to become the best that we can be.

“People of mediocre ability sometimes
achieve outstanding success
because they don’t know when to quit.

Let Go Of The Baggage

Motivational Power Quote

Let Go Of The Baggage
“Am I willing to give up what I have in
order to be what I am not yet?
Am I able to follow the spirit of love into the desert?
It is frightening and sacred moment.
There is no return; one’s life is changed forever.
It is the fire that gives us our shape.”
Mary Caroline Richards, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your hands can be so full carrying your old baggage that when a new opportunity presents itself to us our hands are so full that we’re not able to grasp the opportunity.

We have to be willing to give up the old baggage in our life in order to grasp the new opportunities. In taking advantage of the opportunities we will find that any one of them can become the breakthrough opportunity that can change the course of our life.

Many times we are comfortable with our old baggage. We resist leaving that baggage behind us but once we let go we will feel a weight being lifted off our shoulders and breed a sigh of relief.

It’s not until we let go of the old baggage are we able to open our minds and see the things that are in front of us and what can be possible.

Don’t Allow Procrastination Stand Between You and Success

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Allow Procrastination Stand Between You and Success
“Everything you could have been,
all the accolades you could have won
and all the achievements that have
been nagging at your mind until now,
didn’t happen for one reason only
you procrastinated.”
Nisandeh Neta, author, speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Don’t allow procrastination stand between you and success

Procrastination is a roadblock of the mind.

Procrastination can manifest itself in many areas of our lives to where we put off what has to be done today to some unspecified time in the future that never comes.

We convince ourselves that we will do it tomorrow but when tomorrow comes, we defer it until tomorrow.

The more we drag our feet the heavier the weight of our procrastination becomes until the shear weight of our procrastination suppresses our motivation and forward progress.

Think about procrastination as a brick wall in our mind. When we reach that wall our mind tells us that we can’t scale the wall and that we are better off on trying another day. When the day comes the wall looks enormous and we don’t make an effect to climb it.

Procrastination doesn’t make things easier or better, procrastination makes things worst.

Procrastination is a road block of the mind and to successfully navigate the roadblock we have to change our mind set and our thinking to become solution orientated. When you encounter a roadblock, don’t think about giving in to procrastinating look for the best solution to resolve the situation. Take the actions that will remove the roadblocks and resume your success journey.

Doing Something Worthwhile

Motivational Power Quote

Doing Something Worthwhile
“Real joy comes not from ease or riches
or from the praise of men,
but from doing something worthwhile.”
Sir Wilfred Grenfell, British  Missionary (1865-1940)

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Doing something worthwhile . . . .
When we do things that we consider worthwhile the time passes quickly because we’re enjoy what we are doing.

The task seems to move forward with little effort.
We find joy in our work and find ourselves giving extra effort not because we’re asked; but because we’re enjoying what we are doing.
The secret is to find something worthwhile, and you will never work another day and you will enjoy the journey.

Believe in Yourself

Motivational Power Quote

Believe in Yourself
“We must do that which
we think we cannot.”
Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Believe in yourself

You have to believe in yourself and when you believe yourself you will do what you believe you can do.

Don’t become distracted by what others tell you, you can’t do.

Believe in yourself and your abilities. Create the vision in your mind of your desired outcomes of your objectives as if it has already been accomplished them. To ensure your desired outcome take massive actions to accomplish your objectives.

There are times that we will be challenged to do things which we did not think we could do. At that moment in time we have to believe in our self and stretch our self to do them.

The difference between achieving you’re desired outcome and missing your target is your personal belief system.

Believe in yourself and what you can do and then do them.

Turning the Good Into the Exceptional

Motivational Power Quote

Turning the Good Into the Exceptional
“The task of the excellent teacher is to stimulate
apparently ordinary people to unusual effort.
The tough problem is not to the identifying winners:
it is in making winners out o ordinary people.”
K. Patricia Cross, scholar

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Turning the good into the exceptional

There will be times in our life that a person enters it that has the capacity to have a positive impact on our lives and future. That person brings with them their life experiences and knowledge and is willing to share their expertise with us.

We can open our mind and become receptive to listening to the information and drawing on the person knowledge to enhance our life or we can elect to ignore them.

Turning the good into the exceptional is taking our current level of expertise and moving it to the next level. We have to willing to open our mind to except new information and concepts. Be willing to sharpen our existing skills and to apply new techniques and strategies to become exceptional.

A thin slice of difference between the good and the exceptional is in stepping out of our comfort zone of doing what’s always been done. And stepping into the possible zone of stretching our minds to acquire additional knowledge and applying that new knowledge in a positive fashion to become better and grow to become exceptional.

Most people start their success journey to be good at what they do in order to achieve their goals. They are committed to achieve success and will work hard to reach their goals.

The person that’s passionate about their life and career are life long learners, and the will apply their knowledge and skills to succeed. They will continually push forward and move closer to their goals. That person will find that they are turning the good into the exceptional and as a result they will reap the benefits of the harvest of the efforts and journey.
