When You’re Faced With a Problem

Motivational Power Quote

When You’re Faced With a Problem
“All it takes is one idea to
solve an impossible problem.”
Robert H. Schuller, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

When you’re faced with a problem

Problems come in many shapes and sizes some problems can seem impossible while others appear to be just a bump in the road. No matter the size of the problem they need to be address and resolved.

When you’re faced with what is seems to be a problem of any magnitude look for the most desired solution. Focus your thinking and efforts on resolving the problem and not on what get you into problem.

Focusing on solution to a problem becomes a proactive activity to successfully work through the problem and come up with a workable solution. Spending your time and thinking on the problem is a reactive activity. Focusing your thinking on the past and what was will not solve the program it will move you further away from resolving the program.

Focus on the future and what can be and not on the past of what was.

Review the situation that you find yourself in and determine that best strategies available to you to resolve the problem. Keep an open mind as your thinking about solving the problem. An idea will surface and that idea becomes the basis for resolving the problem.

When you’re faced with a problem focus on the solutions and take the corrective action to resolve the issue.

Do Something About It

Motivational Power Quote

Do Something About It

“Everyone who has ever taken a shower has had an idea.

it’s the person who gets out of the shower,

dries off and does something about it

that makes a difference.”

Nolan Bushnell, American entrepreneur

Founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese Pizza

As I see it . . . . . . .

Do something about it

We all are carrying around a great ideas or something that has to be done, it now the time to do something about it.

A good idea in our head without action has very little or no value; an idea where you take action can create a breakthrough moment and change the course of our career. When you have an idea do something about it: bring your idea into the sunlight and allow it to grow and make a difference in your life.

If you are carrying the baggage of things undone around with you, the weight of that baggage will hinder your forward progress. Take what is undone in your life and prioritize them by their order of importance and do something about it.

One by one by there order of importance successfully bring closure to each item on the list until everything on the list has successfully been completed. As you do you will find that as you bring closure to them items new items appear, always keep your list prioritized by there order of importance.

Prioritizing creates an effective time management tool and allows you to focus on what’s most important.

As you go through your day and you are hit with unexpected things, do something about it as they happen in by there order of importance. Make every effort to clean your slate and to nurture your idea and you will find yourself making forward progress.

What’s Your Plan B?

Motivational Power Quote

What’s Your Plan B?
“The majority of men meet with failure
because of their lack of persistence in creating new plans
to take the place of those, that which fail.”
Napoleon Hill, author, self-help expert

As I see it . . . . . . .

What’s your plan B?

The best of plans are subject to adjustments and change.

We live in a world where things are contently changing. To remain reinvent in a shifting business environment we have to have the flexibility to adjust and change our course in a moment’s notice.

When you encounter change what’s your plan B?

Change is a fact of life and it can happen at any time.

When change occurs don’t become sidetracked and lose focus of your big picture goals and objectives. Remain focused and persistent in achieving the desired outcome and adjust your course to reach your objectives.

In times of change it’s important to make the course corrections and adjustments with confidence and calmness to make them with effectiveness.

Be willing to let go of what’s not working and replace it with a new plan to respond to the conditions that you’re facing. The willingness to let go and adjust to a plan B will create confidence in your actions and a sense of calmness in your decision making.

In the moment change what’s your plan B?

Let Go of the Old and Out-of-Date Thinking

Motivational Power Quote

Let Go of the Old and Out-of-Date Thinking
“It’s easy to come up with new ideals;
the hard part is letting
go of what worked for you two years ago,
but will soon be out-of-date.”
Roger Von Oech, entrepreneur

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Let go of the old and out-of-date thinking

The business world has changed. Hanging onto the things that are old and out-of-date is like carrying around an anchor. The weight of the anchor will drag you down and sink your business.

Because something has worked in the past is no assurance that it will work in the future.

Review your business strategies, methods and techniques. Eliminate the old methods that are no longer working effectively for you before they become old and out-of-date and become an obsolete to your success.

Where there is a need make adjustments; make the adjustments to keep them working effectively.

Become a forward thinker and adjust your strategies, methods and techniques to carry you forward in a new business environment.

Just let go of the old and out-of-date thinking. Grasp your new opportunities and turn your opportunities into successes.

Getting What You Want

Motivational Power Quote

Getting What You Want

The indispensable first step to getting the things you

want out of life is this; decide what you want.”

Ben Stein, actor

 As I see it. . . . . . . .

Getting what you want

Before you can get what you want in life; you first have to decide what you want and then be willing to pay the price of getting it.

The biggest challenges that most people facing in getting what they want is they’re either unsure of what they want or they don’t know what they want. In either case without clearly in what they want they have no direction and no goals.

They become stuck in place without making any forward progress.

The first step in getting what you want is to clearly defining what it is that you want. Once you know what you want you can develop a precise plan to achieve the goal of getting what you want.

All forward progress starts with a vision getting what you want starts the same way first you have to what you want and then you have to go after it with passion.

Don’t Rain on My Parade

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Rain on My Parade
“No Person has the right to rain
on your dreams.”
Marian Wright Edelman, advocate for the disadvantaged

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Don’t rain on my parade

Think of your life as a parade where each day will be bright and sunny in your thinking.

Each new day will bring new opportunities into your life for you to grasp as a result of our williness to stretch your thinking and your efforts.

The parade of your life is your dreams and in the moment that you take your dreams and turn them into goals you create the parade to achieve your dreams.

Don’t let people step in between you and your dreams and pour cold water on the flames of those dreams.

Choose the people around you very carefully. Let the negative people and dissenter’s rain on someone else’s parade; but not yours.

Surround yourself with people that will have a positive influence on you and your life.

It’s your parade and you get pick who you want in your parade.

Don’t anyone rain on your parade.

We Will be Judged by Where We Stand in Challenging Times
“The ultimate measure of a man
is not where he stands
in the moment of comfort and convenience,
but where he stands at times
of challenge and controversy .”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

As I see it. . . . . . . .

We will not be judged for where we stand in the good times or in the calm waters of the port.

The true character of a man is developed in sailing in the rough water of their life. He who can successfully navigate the challenges and the rough waters builds there character.

We will be measured by our character and where we stand is the mist of our challenges.

Stand strong and face your challenges with confidence.

Worrying Kills More People Then Work

Motivational Power Quote

Worrying Kills More People Then Work
“The reason why worry kills
more people then work
is that more people
worry than work.”
Robert Frost, American Poet

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Worrying kills more people then work

Why?

Far too many people spend their life worrying and not enough time working at resolving to the conditions they encounter.

Worrying will not resolve a problem. Worrying compounds the condition, drains our energy and creates negative thinking which leads to inaction and poor decisions.

Worrying makes the condition worst.

Work at finding solutions to the problem and take the actions to resolve the conditions. As you do you will clear the slate to move forward with a lighter load and carrying less baggage.

The only result that we get from worrying is that it will kill us emotionally and make us an ineffective person.

Worrying kills more people then work. When you’re faced with a condition that needs your attention leave the worrying at the door and step forward to find the solution to the condition and take action to resolve the condition.

We Can’t Go Back

Motivational Power Quote

We Can’t Go Back
“Nobody can go back and start
a new beginning,
but anyone can start today
and make a new ending.”
Maria Robinson, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

We can’t go back

Our past is gone and we’re not able go back in time to relive those days. What is done is in the history book of our life.

The past is there to cherish the positive memories and to use the challenging time as a learning experience.

We can’t go back into the past and change what happen, but we can use the past to change to future.

But we are able today create a new ending by moving into the future with a new attitude and adjust our thinking to create a new path for our success journey.

There’s No Coasting on Your Success Journey

Motivational Power Quote

There’s No Coasting on Your Success Journey
“If you’re coasting, you’re
either losing momentum,
or else you’re headed downhill.”
Joan Welsh, Maine House of Representatives

As I see it. . . . . . . .

There’s no coasting on your success journey

There are two types of momentum. Your will either have forward momentum moving you closer to your goal. Or your momentum will be pulling you in the wrong direction putting your goals further out of your reach.

There is no coasting on your success journey. When your coasting you’re losing forward momentum and being to digress and go of course.

Keep your focus on the future and your momentum in moving you forward and in the direction of achieving your goals.

When you encounter an obstacle find a solution and work your way through the obstacle, but can’t coast your way through an obstacle.

When you encounter a road block on the journey find a way around it, over it, through it or take the detour to get you to your goals, but don’t coast.

Coasting creates a lost of momentum, takes you in the wrong direction and farther away from your goals.

Stay on course and keep your journey moving forward.

There’s no coasting on your success journey your momentum is either pulling you forward or you’re allowing your momentum to pull you away from achieving your goals. What you do with your momentum is a personal choice. Put your success journey into gear and move forward.

The Difference Between Life and the Movies

Motivational Power Quote

The Difference Between Life and the Movies
“The difference between life and the movies
is that a script has to make sense,
and life doesn’t.”
Joseph L. Mankiewicz, director, screenwriter

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The difference between life and the movies

In the movies we can see the coming attraction and know the story line before we see the movie, in life the story line continually changes.

The movie has a natural progression. Many times our lives seem to have no rhyme or reason. What we have to do is continually adjust to our changing environment and remain focused on our journey and the desired outcome.

We can choose the movies that we want to see, but the script is written and won’t change. In life we can’t control all the things that happen to us. But we can choose how we respond to what happens to us.

In the movies we can buy popcorn that’s handed to us but it’s expensive. At home we can pop our own popcorn. Popping the popcorn takes effort, but having the popcorn is worth the effort.

In real life to enjoy a happy ending we have to have to create our own script, stay on course and work hard to achieve a happy ending.

As I see it. . . . . . . .

New doors will open for us; when we see the opportunity in opening the door.

Opportunities appear in many shapes and sizes. It’s not the size on the opportunity that’s important as it is to recognize the opportunity along with what we do with the opportunity. Many times the smallest opportunity turns out to a break through that’s changes our life.

Look at opportunity with an open mind.

See at each opportunity as a unique and maximize each opportunity.

We Are Born to Achieve Greatness

Motivational Power Quote

We Are Born to Achieve Greatness
“There comes a special moment in everyone’s life;
a moment for which that person was born.
That special opportunity, when he seizes it,
will his mission a mission for which he is uniquely qualified.
In that moment, he finds greatness.
It his finest hour.”
Sir Winston Churchill, British Prime Minster

As I see it . . . . . . .

We are born to achieve greatness

You are unique a person and within that uniqueness you have the spark of greatness within you. And that greatness represents difference things to difference people, but that greatness is there within you.

As you travel the pathway of your life you will intersect with a special moment and in that moment your life can change and in that moment you have the capacity to change the life of other people.
It that moment we may elect to take a high road to what’s right and in that moment it can change the way people look at you and they can see your true image and character.

You could find your special moment in reaching out to a child and in that moment we can impact that child’s life, much like teachers do in the classroom. A child’s life can be changed in a moment by a caring person and that moment will be relived in the child throughout their life.

In Winston Churchill case he emerged as a leader and as a pillar of strength in Great Britton during their darkest hour and in great adversity.
You will never know when that special moment will enter your life but it will. So many times we will we not know the impact on the moment when it happens.

You where born to achieve greatness and you will have that moment in your life.

Fully Engage Your Career

Motivational Power Quote

Fully Engage Your Career
“We are at our very best, and we are happiest,
when we are fully engaged in work we enjoy on our
journey toward the goal we’ve established for ourselves.
It gives meaning to our time off and comfort to our sleep.
It makes everything else in life so wonderful, so worthwhile.”
Earl Nightingale, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Fully engage your career

We achieve more when we fully engage what we enjoy doing.

If you enjoy your career and make your career your passion what you do will never feel like work again. Your motivation will soar and your career will move to a higher level. You will have a spring in your step and enjoy your work.

Enjoying your work doesn’t mean that you won’t have bad days and challenges because guest what; you will. When you enjoy what you’re doing you look at your challenges with a difference prospective and you become problem solver.

If you hate what you’re doing your career has peaked and heading down a very slippery slope that will end up in a crash and burn situation.

You will either have to change your thinking and attitude and recommit yourself to your career. Which will take a change of mind set on your part and changing the way you look at your career and refocusing your energies on productive activities?

You may also have to look at you association and evaluate the people who bring a positive influence into your life and those who create a negative environment into the picture.

Eliminate the negative influences in your life and in your association. Connect with positive people, people that will booster your career, a mentor or a coach that will keep you moving in the direction of your goals.

Fully engage your career and eliminate the detractors from your life and you will be on the pathway of a successful career that you enjoy.
