Motivational Power Quote
The Difference Between Life and the Movies
“The difference between life and the movies
is that a script has to make sense,
and life doesn’t.”
Joseph L. Mankiewicz, director, screenwriter
As I see it. . . . . . . .
The difference between life and the movies
In the movies we can see the coming attraction and know the story line before we see the movie, in life the story line continually changes.
The movie has a natural progression. Many times our lives seem to have no rhyme or reason. What we have to do is continually adjust to our changing environment and remain focused on our journey and the desired outcome.
We can choose the movies that we want to see, but the script is written and won’t change. In life we can’t control all the things that happen to us. But we can choose how we respond to what happens to us.
In the movies we can buy popcorn that’s handed to us but it’s expensive. At home we can pop our own popcorn. Popping the popcorn takes effort, but having the popcorn is worth the effort.
In real life to enjoy a happy ending we have to have to create our own script, stay on course and work hard to achieve a happy ending.
