Success Requires Discipline

Motivational Power Quote

Success Requires Discipline
“We must all suffer from one of two pains;
the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.
The difference is indiscipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.”
            Jim Rohn, author, motivational coach

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success requires discipline

As the Beetles song goes “Things Don’t Come Easy” and the same can be said for success.

Success is the result of discipline and hard work.

When we look at successful people in any walk of life we are seeing a person that as paid the price to reach the status of being considered successful. What we don’t see is the years and hours that they have invested in their professional to be called successful.

As a business professional we have to make a commitment to our profession have the discipline to apply our self and the willingness to make a persistent focused effort to become successful.

Having the discipline to succeed is the price we paid upfront for that benefits that we will receive as a result of our success.

Success requires discipline to focus on the big picture with a purpose.

Be The Change You Want To See in Your life

Be The Change You Want To See in Your life

Time doesn’t change things . . . we do

The things in our life stay the same until we take the steps to change them. Things may evolve without our input and they just drift without purpose.

Be the change that you want to see you want to see in your life.

If we’re not happy with the conditions in our lives there is only one person that can change them and we look that person in the eye everyday in a mirror and that person is us.

When it comes to change we are responsible for the change that we want to see. If we want change we have to take the actions that will bring about the change that you want to see.

Time doesn’t change things . . . we do.

Be the change that you want to see in your life.

When The Time For Change Comes - Change

Motivational Power Quote

When The Time For Change Comes - Change
“There is at least one point in the history of any company
When you have to change dramatically
to rise to the next level of performance,
miss that moment and you start to decline.”
                 Andy Grove, Intel CEO

As I see it . . . . . . .

When the time for change comes – change

The history of the business world is littered with failed business models.

The businesses didn’t fail because they couldn’t change or adjust, they failed because they refused acknowledge the shifts in the business environment and tried to push either a dying or dead business model.

A business that fails to change . . . . Fails.

Businesses have to continually stay in tune with the consumers by evaluating their products or services and the way they’re delivered to the market.

As we evaluate the market for our product services we have to ask the tough questions:

■ Is there a market for the product and service and how deep is market?

■ Is there a market for your products and services in the form   that they’re being offered to the market?

Is the message reaching the right target market?

■ What has to be changed or adjusted to maximize your marketing effort?

■ Are you offering the right products and services to fit the changing demands of the marketplace?

■ Does your customer services meet and exceed the customers expectation
Here are three key questions that have to be asked; are your products and services delivering value to your customers?  Are they willing to pay for it? And if not why?

A business will only remain relevant when there is a need for the products and service and when the customer perceives that value exceeds the price.

When the time for change comes – change.

Real Change Happens When we See a Need for it

Motivational Power Quote

Real Change Happens When we See a Need for it
“No one rises above who he or she has been without
first having fallen down.
The best time – in fact, the only time – to make real change in your life
is in the moment of seeing the need for it.
He who hesitates always gets lost in the hundred reasons
why tomorrow is better day to get started.”
            Guy Finley, self realization author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Real change happens when we see a need for it

As much as people talk about changing their lives most procrastinate on it and never takes the first step to get started.

Change won’t come into our lives until we see a real need to make the changes. Many times change is the result of discomfort and pain and reaching a point that we refuse to continue with the status quo and realize that change is required to move forward.

To master your future you have to take control of the present . . . .

Only you can make the changes in your life that you want to see. You’re in the driver’s seat and you are steering your life. You can make the turn by turn on the turning signal and make the turn any time you choose.

Real change happens when we see a need for it and you make the commitment to change and take the actions to bring change into our lives.

Pick Yourself Up

Motivational Power Quote

Pick Yourself Up
“I had to pick myself up and get on with it,
do it all over again, only even better this time.”
Sam Walton, founder of Wal-Mart

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Pick yourself up . . . .

This is great advice from Sam Walton who built the largest and one of the most effectively operated retail businesses in the world from his vision and one store.

Success is not an expressway it’s journey and as in any journey there will be many twists and turn where we can stumble and fall. The person that finds true success will pick themselves up, dust themselves off and to do it all over again this using their experience to do it better.

A stumble is an opportunity to start again with renewed passion.

Successful people and business have experienced setback and failure and have found away to overcome them and remained focused on their objective.

When you reach a time that you trip and fall you have to pick yourself up . . . . And continue to move in the direction of our goals.

Make The Things You Want Happen

Motivational Power Quote

Make The Things You Want Happen
“My father instilled in me that if you don’t see the
things happening the way you want them to,
you get of there and make them happen.”
        Susan Powter, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Make the things you want happen

Someone once said; if you want a fish, catch it. If you want success go out and make it happen.

Very little worthwhile is ever handed to us; if your waiting for the handout the person eating the cookie will hand you the crumbs.

Make the things you want happen and you will be in the position to earn far more of what you want.

Decide what you want to achieve and be willing to pay the tolls upfront to get you to your destination. Don’t allow the nay sayers to step between you and your objectives and try to derail your mission.

By making the commitment to make things happen you are taking the personal responsibly for your success journey and your outcome. At that moment you have empowered yourself to reach for the stars and to stretch your limits.

Believe you can and make the things you want happen.

Take The Responsibility

Motivational Power Quote

Take The Responsibility
“It’s is time to get back to basics;
to self-discipline and respect for the law,
the consideration for others,
to accepting responsibility for yourself and your family,
and not shuffling it off on the state.”
John Major, Former British Prime Minister

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take the responsibility

John Major’s quote is reflection for our life and business.

We have to take the responsibility for what we want to achieve in our life and for our actions. When we take responsibility, we become the captain of our ship and our hands are on the controls.

By taking control there’s no one to blame the focus becomes one of solutions and creative thinking. We have to find a way to create the results that we looking for.

By taking responsibility we become the master of our destiny and the direction of our success journey.

Focus on What’s Important

Motivational Power Quote

Focus on What’s Important
“Where you are headed is more important the how fast your going.
Rather than always focusing on what’s urgent,
learn to focus on what is really important.”
Dr. Stephen Covey, author, consultant, speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Focus on what’s important

The direction of your success journey is far more important than the pace of your journey. If you’re moving in the wrong direction and you’re doing it fast what’s the point.

Focusing on what’s important are those things that will move you closer to your goals. Make the best use of your time and create forward momentum in the right direction.

One of the most important factors on your success journey is to focus on the end results and to create the momentum to keep moving in that direction.

Avoid the distraction; make the best use of your time and focus on what’s important and you will create the forward momentum to achieve your goals.

Henry Ford Paved The Way

Motivational Power Quote

Henry Ford Paved The Way
“It is better to sell a large number of cars at a reasonably
small margin than to sell fewer at a large margin of profit . . .
It enables a large number of people to buy and enjoy (the car)
and give a large number to men employment at a good wage.
Those are two aims I have in life.”
           Henry Ford, auto executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

Henry Ford paved the way

Henry Ford was an innovator and created the first affordable automobile in American, a car the people could afford to own.

But he also did something else that was very interesting that has slipped into the pages of history.

He felt that the work force in his automobile plant should be able to afford to own the cars they where building.

At the time the wages for an auto worker would not be enough for them to own a car.

Henry Ford changed the standards for the wages for the auto workers and the work force at Ford became the highest paid in the industry.

Henry ford paved the way for Americans to afford to own a Ford and the Ford work force to own a car that they were building. Henry Ford was a good businessman and the outcome was a win – win situation for car buyers, his work force and his business.

Focus on What Really Matters

Motivational Power Quote

Focus on What Really Matters

Each person has only twenty-four hours per day,

Take the Time to Watch a Cloud Float Across The Sky

Motivational Power Quote

Take the Time to Watch a Cloud Float Across The Sky
“Rent is not idleness, and to be sometimes in the grass of a
summer day listening to the mummer of the water or
watching the clouds float across the sky
is hardy a waste of time .”
Sir John Lubbock 1834 -1913 English Banker and Politician

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky

We live in a hectic world where we are jugging our personal lives with our business. We seem to run out of time and the pressure to get things done is always there.

We try to live our life by a schedule and things are always popping to throw us off schedule. We always seems to be going from emergency to another.

Our days start at the break of day with our e-mail and confirming our daily schedule and activities. We miss lunch and get some fast food.

We get home late from work and were back on the computer and when we look that the clock it’s midnight.

Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky. Spend some quality time with the people that you care about. Go to lunch with a friend. Make the time to do some of things that you enjoy doing.

If you miss the cloud floating across the sky you’re missing the best part of your life. Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky and your life will never be the same.

You Are as Powerful and Strong as You Believe You Are

Motivational Power Quote

You Are as Powerful and Strong as You Believe You Are
“The two things I did learn were that you are as
powerful and strong as you allow yourself to be,
and that the most difficult part of any endeavor
is taking the first step, making the first decision.”
               Robyn Davidson, Australian writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

You are as power and strong as you believe you are

Our thoughts run in the background of our thinking, what we believe in that thinking we make a reality in our actions.

When we believe that we are a powerful and strong person in our thoughts we will take the actions to be that person in our daily activity and as a result a subtle swift occurs in our thinking.

We first start to become that person in our thoughts. Our thoughts are transferred into our endeavors and we become that person in our actions.

We first have to believe in our self and then put those beliefs to work for us.

You mind is a powerful computer and your thoughts are programmed into your mind. What you believe you can do you will do with effort.

You are as powerful and strong as you believe you are. Believe in yourself, believe you have the power to achieve great things and you will achieve what you think you can.

Motivational Power Quote

Choice of Doing or Not Doing
“Where it comes to Good Ideas,
there’s no such thing as possible or impossible . . .
There’s just doing and not doing.”
         Mike Silma

As I see it . . . . . .

Choice of doing or no doing

When it comes right down to it no matter what the task is, the quality of the idea or what we are confronting there is a choice.

We can choose to look at the condition and make a choice to address the condition and to give it our best. Or we can see what happens and make a choice down the road.

The difference in the choice is the difference between doing and not doing.

Making a choice to be proactive and to take action on the condition is taking control of the condition. By taking control we are making the best decisions we can and finding the best solution to condition.

By choosing act we become a doer and put our best foot forward in managing the condition.

The choice of doing or not doing becomes a choice on being proactive and putting our self in the position to control our destiny.

Inner Drive

Motivational Power Quote

Inner Drive
“Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires faith in yourself.
That is why some people with mediocre talent,
but with great inner drive, go much further
then people with vastly superior talent.”
 Sophia Loren, actress

As I see it . . . . . . .

Inner drive

Inner drive is a person’s personal super charger and when they need a little boost they can kick it in and it creates the energy to propel them forward.

We all have inner drive it becomes a question if we draw on it to propel us forward or if it remains within us without its spark being ignited.

A person with inner drive will push past a person relies on superior talent and lacks the inner drive.

Inner drive will move a person to climb the mountain of opportunity or break down the wall of obstacles and make the extra effort when they would like to quit.

The little difference that will make a big difference on our success journey is our inner drive. When you kick it in everything becomes possible and within your reach.
