Tommy Lasorda played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for 4 years and appeared in just 26 games as a pitcher. In his entire major league career he never won a game and lost 4 games.
He became a hall of fame manager for the Dodgers, twice being named manager of the year, winning 1599 games and 2 World Series over a 21 year career.
Lasorda found what was possible though determination.
