If It’s Not Working Change What You’re Doing

Motivational Power Quote

If It’s Not Working Change What You’re Doing
“The majority of men meet with failure
because they don’t create new plans
to take the place of those that fail.”
Napoleon Hill, motivational expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

If it’s not working change what you’re doing

When you have given a task you best effort and done everything that you could possibility have done to get something to work and it doesn’t, it’s time to change what you’re doing.

You can reach a point of diminishing returns where what your doing will either have a very limited or no return on your effort at that point change what you’re doing.

When what your doing is a must get done task and failure is not an option we have to find a new way to achieve your objectives.

Look at your strategies, techniques and the way you’re approaching the task. Look for new ways to approach the task, adjusting your thinking and strategies. Look for a way to create a small breakthrough that can potentially open the flood gates to a successful conclusion.

When something is not working change what you’re doing . . . . through your thinking and change your approach. But when it’s not working and you continue to do the same thing over and over, you will continue to get the same results and those results create frustration and very limited results.

Be willing to change the way you are doing things, be willing to change yourself and change your attitude to create a new and successful future.

Remain focused on your dreams and navigate around you obstacles and setbacks.

Pressure is Just a Word

Motivational Power Quote

Pressure is Just a Word
“Pressure is a word that is a misused in our vocabulary.
When you start thinking of pressure,
it’s because you’re started to think of failure.”
Tommy LaSorda, Baseball Manager

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Pressure is just word

If you’re in a situation where you’re feeling the “pressure” chances are more then likely that you’re focusing on the problem and not the solution.

Once you find yourself in a challenging circumstance focus your efforts on finding the best way to resolve the circumstances and to move forward and away from the challenges as quickly as possible.

Pressure is just a word and once you look for solutions and apply the effort to resolve the condition you will find the pressure will melt away.

A Lesson For Success

Motivational Power Quote

A Lesson For Success
“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker.
Failure is delay, not defect.
It is a temporary detour, not a dead end.
Failure is something we can avoid
only by saying nothing,
doing nothing,
and being nothing.”
Denis Waitley, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A lesson for success

A failure is a speed bump on our success journey.

We can be jolted when we encounter one. But once we roll over it, it becomes just a memory and we leave it behind us as we move forward.

Use a failure as a lesson for success. Make a commitment to move past the failure and not to carry the failure with you and to find a better way to do things in the future.
A lesson for success is a lesson learned and not repeated.

Trying Is What Counts

Motivational Power Quote

Trying Is What Counts
“When you end up isn’t the most important thing.
It’s the road you take to get there.
The road you take is what you’ll look back on
and call your life.
Not reaching success the end of the world.
Not trying to reach it is.”
Tim Wiley, entertainment executive

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Take Ownership of Your Life and Career

Motivational Power Quote

Take Ownership of Your Life and Career
“Ownership is a key ingredient of finding
fulfillment in our work and in our lives.
When we don’t create an attitude of ownership,
we leave ourselves open to
the whims and ways of circumstance
and the choice of others.
Ownership is going beyond pulling your own weight,
and beyond doing your share.
It resides in a place of doing
what needs to be done regardless.”
John G. Blumberg

As I see it. . . . . . . .

I Rather Be . . . .

Motivational Power Quote

I Rather Be . . . .
“I’d rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are;
because a could be is a maybe who reached for a star.
I’d rather be a has been than a might
have-been has been,
but a has an are.”
Milton Berle, American Conedian

As I see it. . . . . . . .

I rather be . . . .

I rather be a person that has tried and not yet succeeded then a person that did not try.

I rather be a person that has been knocked down as a result of my efforts then a person that did not take the risk to succeed. I can always get up and try again.

I would rather stretch and reach for the stars and come up with just hand full of stars rather then not have stretched, but I can always stretch for another hand full of stars.

I would rather live my life and to continue to reach and try then to listen to other people tell me what I can’t do.

Live your life stretching for your goals and reaching for the stars both are there for you if you’re willing to reach and try.

I rather be me with a vision and a dream and reach for them until I achieve them.

Your Walk Away Position

Motivational Power Quote

Your Walk Away Position
“Prepare by knowing your away (condition)
and by building the number of variables
you can work with during the negotiation . . .
You need to have a walk away . . .
a combination of price, terms, and
deliverables that represents the least you will accept.
Without one, you have no negotiating road map.”
Keiser

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your walk away position

A critical element in a preparation for a negotiation is to know your walk away position before you begin. Your walk away position becomes your road map for creating a course and a destination for a successful negotiation.

A negotiation can on a life of its own and we can experience many twists and turns in the process. Your walk away position keeps you focused on your objectives and you maintain prospective and will not become distracted by the twists and turns you encounter along the way in the negotiations.

In having a walk away position you control your emotional aspect of the negotiation.

As Kenny Rogers sang in the Gambler “you have to know when to hold them and when to fold them.” Your walk away position sets your course and destination for a successful negotiation.

New Ideas and Success Are Outside of the Comfort Zone

Motivational Power Quote

New Ideas and Success Are Outside of the Comfort Zone

I Am Responsible

Motivational Power Quote

I Am Responsible

“Although I may not be able to prevent the worst from happening, I am
responsible for my attitude toward the inevitable misfortunes that darken life.

Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and
the quality of my life.

I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the
gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from pain and
treasure the most precious gift I have – life itself.”
Walter Anderson, American painter

As I see it. . . . . . . .

I am responsible

We are responsible for our life and our actions.

We choose the path that we are following and if we don’t like that path that we’re on; we can choose to change it.

When we take personal responsible for our life we take control of our future. Taking responsible doesn’t mean that everything in our life will work exactly as we want it to be. There will be times where we hit a wall or experience setbacks.

But we can control our actions to adjust to our situation that moves us in the direction of our objective.

When you say to yourself “I am responsible” for myself and my actions we control our future.

Exceptional Customer Service is a Choice

Motivational Power Quote

Exceptional Customer Service is a Choice

“Great customer service has to come
from the inside out.
You cannot mandate it.
You can’t threaten, reward,
or coerce people to care.
You can only awaken the desire
and then give them the permission
and encouragement to make
it come alive in their work.”
Barbara Glanz, author and speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Exceptional customer service is a choice.

We can’t force someone to provide exceptional customer it comes from within the person. They make a conscience decision that they will provide exceptional customer service without being asked or being pressured into doing it.

The quality of our service to others becomes the thin slice between achieving your goals and success; or just getting by.

Exceptional customer service is a choice and the person that provides it determines the level and the quality of the service that they will provide.

Choose the pathway to success and be known by the quality of your service to others.
