Pay Yourself First

Motivational Power Quote

Pay Yourself First
“The philosophy of the rich versus the poor is this.
The rich invest their money and spend what is left,
the poor spends their money and invest what is left.”
Jim Rohn, Author, Self – Help Expert

As I see it . . . . . . .

Pay yourself first

It’s not in the amount of the money you make it’s a matter of the philosophy that you live your life by.

With children we teach them to save their pennies, and as time goes by they create a habit of saving money.

Some people can save only dollars, while others will save hundreds and some will be able to saves thousands of dollars. It’s not the amount that important, it’s the habit of paying yourself first and investing the money for you and your family’s future.

I would like to share a story with you about a real estate professional that I know very well.

Since she started in real estate she had goals and was committed to invest her money. In her early years she worked at a survival level but even at that level she had a goal. She explained to me that with her financial goals she budgeted 5% of every closing to her investment account.

She when on to explain that with her goals that once she get past her break even number she committed 10% of the income to her invest account.

As her career stabilized she continued to use the ladder approach to investing her money.

Today she invests 10% of her monthly breakeven income. Once she get past her breakeven income she invests 25% of her income until it plateaus at a fix level and from that point she invests 100% of her income.

What start out by investing 5% of her incomes has turned into financial security. It’s not how much you invest that matters it’s the habit of investing that’s important.

Pay yourself pay yourself first and you will invest in yourself and your future.

Learn How Other People Became Successful

Motivational Power Quote

Learn How Other People Became Successful
“Bottom line: if you show a genuine interest in learning
about how others, became successful.
You can open up a world of opportunity.”
Armstrong Williams, political commentator

As I see it . . . . . . .

Learn how other people became successful

Napoleon Hill made it his life’s work. He traveled the country for 20 years interviewing the most successful people of his generation. And from those interviews he learned to secrets of their success.

His books have motivated generations to Think and Grow Rich.  Napoleon Hill’s books were written nearly 80 years and are still relevant today.

We may not have the same opportunity as Napoleon Hill to interview a generation of the most successful people in the country. But you do have an opportunity to meet with successful people in your market and through your sphere of influence.

You will find that the people will be flattered that you asked them to share their secrets of success and almost everyone will share their secrets with you.

Show a sincere interest in the person and respect their success and you will learn how other people became successful and that knowledge is worth its weight in gold.

Become Stronger

Motivational Power Quote

Become Stronger
“I am grateful for all of my problems.
After each one was overcome,
I became stronger and more able to
meet those that were still to come.
I grew in all my difficulties.”
J. C. Penny, Businessman

As I see it . . . . . . .

Become stronger

A problem is an opportunity to become stronger and grow.

Problems are those things that seem to pop up when we least expect them. Most of the time problems need our immediate attention and can’t wait for us to fit them in. The problems throw us off schedule and can change the course of our day.

The problem can bring out the best in us or the worst in us.

Problems are the building blocks of champions. Problems are facts of live and we all encounter them.

The question becomes how to we handle them? Do we respond to a problem and look for solutions? Or do we become overwhelmed and look who to blame?

When a problem is approached from the stand point of looking for solutions, we are taking a proactive approach to the problem.

By taking a proactive approach to the problem we become a problem solver and finding solutions we become stronger.

You will Achieve - What You Believe is Possible

Motivational Power Quote

You will Achieve - What You Believe is Possible
“Anything that has been accomplished by any other human being
in the physical realm is with possibility.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer, author, self-help expert

As I see it . . . . . . .

You will achieve – what you believe is possible

Be a believer . . . .

A believer is a dreamer and a believer can see the possibilities in things that other people can’t see.

When dreamer believes something is possible they will pursue their dream with the tenacity to turn it into a reality.

Be a dreamer . . . .

Have the firmness in what you believe and the persistence to pursue your beliefs to a successful conclusion.

All great accomplishments were achieved by those who had a vision and who could see what is possible.

You will achieve – what you believe is possible. Be a possibility thinker and you will make what you believe to be possible come true.

The Clearer the Goals The More Focused You Become

Motivational Power Quote

The Clearer the Goals The More Focused You Become
“In the absence of clearly – defined goals,
we become strangely loyal to performing
daily trivia ultimately we become enslaved by it.”
Robert Heinlein, American novelist

As I see it . . . . . . .

The clearer the goals the more focused you become

A person with clear goals moves through their days with a sense of purpose. There is very little wasted effort because you know where they’re going and how you’re going to get there.

With written goals you will have far more on control of your time and you will find yourself achieving more in less time.

You will be able to measure your results against your goals and business plan. Written goals will allow you to measure your progress and to make course adjustment quicker to keep your efforts moving in the right direction.

Performance can be tied directly to written goals. The people with written goals are on the leading edge of success and will achieve far more than those who have no written goals.

The clearer the goals the more focused you become and with that focus you will achieve your goals and become a leader in your profession.

People Are Like Stained Glass Windows

Motivational Power Quote

People Are Like Stained Glass Windows
“People are like stained glass windows;
they sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in,
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.”
Elizabeth Kuble-Ross, author, Swiss American Psychiatrist

As I see it . . . . . . .

People are like stained glass windows

When the sun is out in our life the sun radiates through the stained glass window. The brilliance of the stained glass is there for us and the world to see. We have a spring in our step, we feel confident in our actions and see our world through a positive prospective of the sun being out in our life.

There are times that clouds come into our lives. The sun becomes blocked by the clouds and will not be there to shine and bring the brilliance of the stained glass windows out for us to see.

When the sun is not out in our lives we have light our world from the inside with a positive thinking and positive activity to bring out the brilliance of in the stained glass windows.

The brilliance of the stained glass windows is always there.

People are like stained glass windows. There are times that our life will be lit by exterior sources and easy to see. There will be times that we have to light our own way to being the brilliance of our life to surface.

Appreciate What You Have

Motivational Power Quote

Appreciate What You Have
“If you learn to appreciate more of what you already have,
you will find yourself having more to appreciate.”
Michael Angier, founder of Success Net

As I see it . . . . . . .

Appreciate what you have

When you live in the world of appreciation you are living in a positive world. It’s not a world where you have everything you want in life it’s a world of appreciation for what you have.

In a world of appreciation there’s room to have goals and to strive for greater success. As you achieve your goals and greater success you are appreciative for each achievement.

A person that’s living a life of appreciation is leading a life with a positive attitude. They are grateful for their opportunities and what they are able to accomplish.

Appreciate what you have and you will find yourself having more to appreciate and not fretting over the things you don’t have.

Our Most Perishable Possession

Motivational Power Quote

Our Most Perishable Possession
“Love is at once the most valuable
and the most perishable of all our possessions.”
John Randolph, Congressman from Virginia
1825-1827

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Our most perishable possession

If we don’t use it, it withers away from lack of use. When it’s nurtured it multiples and everyone that comes in contact with it is positively affected by it.

When we love someone we become filled with positive emotions and love grows within us.

Studies show that people that are in love live a fuller and emotionally richer life. They tend to live a happier and longer life as a result of the relationship.

You have it in you, release it and you and your world with change. Keep locked away and it will perish.

Our most perishable possession is the ability to give and receive love.

As I see it . . . . . . .
Optimism is essential to your forward progress

The optimist has hope for the future and will bring a positive attitude to their day. They will go about their business with an optimistic lookout that their efforts will produce the desired results.

There will be times that the efforts of the optimist won’t turn out the way they have planned. In those times the optimist will make the best of the conditions that they find themselves in and continue to move forward.

Start each day with the outlook of the optimist and reinforce your beliefs in your activities. Work hard at what you want to achieve and you will turn you hope into a reality.

almost reach the goal:
while others in the contrary obtain a victory by exerting,
at the last moment, more rigorous effort than ever before.”
Herodotus

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success is achieved through sustained effort

Success doesn’t arrive on a silver platter nor is it handed to us. It you want succeed it’s achieved through a sustained effort and staying on purpose.

We earn our success one step at the time with a sustained effort moving in the direction of our goals and objective. It’s in making the upfront commitment to make the efforts in advance of the rewards. And to stay on track and keep going forward through the good times and through the rough spots that we encounter.

Success will be earned by those who stay committed and stay on purpose until they reach the desired outcome and achieve their goals.

The Law of Probabilities

Motivational Power Quote

The Law of Probabilities
“I teach something called The Law of Probabilities,
which says the more things you try,
the more likely one of them will work.
The more books you read, the more likely one of
them will have the answers to a question that could
solve the major problems of your life . .
make you wealthier, solve a health problem,
whatever it might be.”
Jack Canfield, author, success coach

As I see it . . . . . . .

The law of probabilities

What we sow we will reap.

When we plant the seeds of success and nurture those seeds and the law probabilities is we will reap the benefits of what we have planted.

Conversely if we wait for just the right time to plant the seeds coupled with finding the time to plant the seeds. The chances increase that the seeds are never planted and when the time comes to harvest the fruits of our labor we will not anything to harvest.

Professional development increases the probabilities that we will acquire the skills to reach our goals.

When we abide by the Code of Ethics it increases the probabilities that we will be seen as a person of integrity.

The law of probabilities is what we sow we will reap.

Change Brings Opportunity

Motivational Power Quote

Change Brings Opportunity
“The entrepreneur always searches for change
response to it, and exploits it as a opportunity.”
Peter Drucker, businessman

As I see it . . . . . . .

Change brings opportunity

In the times of change will bring the biggest opportunity.

When change occurs business are slow to respond to the change and the longer they wait the more that fall behind the curve. When a company fails to engage change a vacuum in the market is created. The business that responds to change can quickly move into the market and fill the void at has been created.

The voids in business happen every day and in that change opportunities are created.

The opportunities will come in many shapes and sizes. It’s the entrepreneur who recognizes the shifting markets and is prepared to seize the opportunities who will reap the greatest benefits.

Taking advantage of the opportunities in a changing market can leap flog a business into a prominent market position reflecting in greater success and profitability for the business.

Change brings opportunity for those who embrace change and are prepared to take advantage of the change.

Change Comes From Within

Motivational Power Quote

Change Comes From Within
“Trying to change the outer is like seeing your unshaven
face in the mirror and trying to shave the mirror.”
Dr. Joe Vitale, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Change comes from within

We would like to see the world change for us, but if we want change in our life that change comes from within.

By changing within we change our world and the world will make way for a person who knows where they’re going. We have to make the changes that we want to see within ourselves to see it in the mirror of life.

Making change from within is taking the personal responsibility for our actions, the path that we choose to follow and for our results. By taking the responsibility we become the captain of our ship and success journey. We take control of the wheel and can steer the direction of our success journey on course to achieve our goals.

Once we take control we are the masters of our fate and control our destiny.

The direction for change comes from within and with that change we control our success journey and our accomplishments.

The Next Level

Motivational Power Quote

The Next Level
“If you wish to achieve worthwhile things in your
personal and career life, you must become a worthwhile
person in your own self-development.”
Brian Tracy, author, speaker, and consultant

As I see it . . . . . . .

The next level

To get more of what you want you have to get better at what you do.

Success has a price and that price is paid in advance. If your goal is to reach the next level of success you have to pay for that opportunity in advance.

To get better you have to improve the tools of your trade and keep them sharpen to a razor edge.

In a completive marketplace only the people and the businesses that have the right tools will be able to remain reverent and to successfully compete.

No matter what business you’re in there are businesses that are thriving and businesses falling by the wayside. The difference is the businesses that are thriving have an completive edge and a standout.

The completive edge in business today is not money; the completive edge is having the right tools and keeping them sharp.

The stepping stone to success at the next level is having the right tools of the trade and keeping them razor sharp.

Learn to do it Better

Motivational Power Quote

Learn to do it Better
“In sales there are going to be times when you
can’t make everyone happy.
Don’t expect to and you won’t be disappointed.
Just do your best for each client in each situation as it arises.
Then, learn from each situation how to
do it better the next time.”
Tom Hopkins, author, sales trainer

Nipped in the Bud

Motivational Power Quote

Nipped in the Bud
“Creativity is so delicate a flower that praised tends
to make it bloom,  while discouragement often nips it in the bud.
Any of us will put more and better ideas if our efforts are appreciated.”
Alexander Osborn, the father of brain storming

As I see it . . . . . . .

Nipped in the bud

Have you ever watch the interaction of a parent or a grandparent with the young child?

They are encouraging the child to take their first step, acknowledges their art work at a young age. They will encourage the child after they strike out in a baseball game or lose a game.

Teachers encourage their students with a little note of encouragement on the child’s school work or a happy face sticker.

The encouragement takes hold at a young age and the encouragement and praise builds the confidence and self-esteem of the child.

The lack of encouragement and praise has the opposite effect. The child has no point of reference and very likely will grow up with low self-esteem and lack confidence and their natural talent will be nipped in the bud.

A persons self-esteem is fragile a word of encouragement can lift it. A lack of encourage can wither it.

Don’t allow anyone to discourage you and show appreciation in the people you meet and you true talents will bloom and you and your talent will not be nipped in the bud.
