There Are Ups and There Are Downs

Motivational Power Quote

There Are Ups and There Are Dorwns

“A man learns to skate by staggering about making a fool of himself;
indeed, he progresses in all things by making a fool of himself.”
George Bernard Shaw 1856 - 1950, Irish Writer and Critic

As I see it . . . . . . .

There are ups and there are downs

Some day you will look like a hero . . . . and there are other days that you may make a fool out of yourself.

Every day is a new day . . . . and there will are ups and there are downs.

Make the most of the ups in your life . . . . and work your way past the down days.

Work hard at creating as many up days in your life as possible . . . . They will accumulate and become the foundation for your success journey.

Look at the down days in your life as a temporary condition. Work through those conditions the best you can . . . . and put them where belong and that’s behind you.

There are ups and there are downs . . . . in your life. Build your life on the positive of your up days . . . . and learn from the down days you encounter. In all cases remain focused on your long term goals and objectives.

Don’t Sell Yourself Short

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Sell Yourself Short

“If you deliberately plan on being less than you are capable of being,
then I warn you that you’ll be unhappy for the rest of your life.”
Abraham Maslow 1908 – 1970, Author, Psychologist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Don’t sell yourself short

Within you is a powerful force . . . . to be the person that you want to be.

You may have to stretch yourself outside of your comfort zone to become that person. . . . but in there waiting to come out. You also may find that you have to step up your personal development to achieve that status.

The next step . . . . may only be steps away from you . . . . For you to reach the next level . . . .  don’t sell yourself short and keep on stepping forward.

The key is don’t give up on your dreams . . . . or yourself . . . . keep stepping forward even when your ready to quit . . . . keep going.

The journey may not be easy . . . . but your long term benefits far outweigh the tolls you pay on your success journey.

Don’t sell yourself short . . . . stay on purpose . . . . and keep stepping forward.

Recognize the Opportunity

Motivational Power Quote

Recognize the Opportunity
“Each problem has hidden in it an opportunity so powerful that it literally
dwarfs the problem. The greater success stories were
created by people who recognized a problem and turned it
into an opportunity.”
Joseph Sugarman

As I see it . . . . . . .

Recognize the opportunity

When you are faced with a problem . . . . you can focus on the problem. Or you can focus on the solution.

It’s far easier to see the problem . . . . Because you see the problem you focus your time and efforts on the problem. In the long run your time and efforts become misplaced . . . . because your looking in the wrong direction.

A problem is a condition . . . . that needs to be resolved.

When you’re faced with a problem . . . . focus on the solution and you’ll focusing on bring the problem to a successful conclusion.

A problem is a condition . . . . finding the solution to the problem creates the opportunity.

Recognize the opportunity . . . . in the problem and the opportunities will open the doors to greater success.

A Want is Not Enough

Motivational Power Quote

A Want is Not Enough
“It’s not enough to MILDLY WANT what you want. You must
WILDLY WANT what you want. No one ever got their
greatest wishes by remaining WISHY WASHY.”
Karen Salmansohn BS, Self-Help Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

A want is not enough

A want is a like too . . . . A like too lacks the passion to achieve it and your like too slips to the back burner of your thinking . . . . In time your like too becomes an unfulfilled thought that just slips away.

Make you want too a must have . . . . and everything  changes . . . .

A must have firers your enthusiasm . . . . and you will pursue your must have with determination and passion  to reach your objective . . . . and create your desired results.

Your must have will becomes your purpose . . . . and your enthusiasm will keep your determination at a high level of awareness and focus to achieve your must have.

A want is not enough . . . . fire your want into a must have . . . . and your day will be filled with a purpose.

Brick Walls

Motivational Power Quote

Brick Walls
“The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not
there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance
to show how badly we want something, because the brick walls
are there to stop the people who don’t want it badly enough.
They’re there to stop the other people.”
Randy Pausch 1960 – 2008, American Professor of Computer
Science and Human – Computer Interaction & Design

As I see it . . . . . . .

Brick walls

There are brick walls of magnificent building . . . . for all to see.

There are the brick walls of the prisons of the mine . . . . that locks out positive thinking and positive interaction.

There are brick walls that support your success journey . . . . they build the bridges to your future.

There many types of brick walls . . . . the bricks by themselves will not make the wall a pathway to the future or barrier.

The brick wall exists in your perception . . . . what you believe that wall to be . . . . is in your thinking.

Use the brick wall as a launching pad . . . . into a future of achievement.

Go Out and Get Busy

Motivational Power Quote

Go Out and Get Busy
“Inaction feeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage
if you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it.
Go out and get busy.”
Dale Carnegie 1888 – 1955, Author, Lecturer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Go out and get busy

When you want something . . . . or you want something done you have to take the initiative to get it started and to bring it to a successful outcome.

Success is achieved by determined action and persistence . . . .

There may be a fear in starting and in taking action . . . . Fear is a normal human emotion . . . . once you make the commitment to start and take the first step to successfully reach the outcome. Your fear will be washed away by your actions.

Don’t allow fear to build a barrier between you and your objectives . . . . fear is just an emotion. When you’re committed to create a successful outcome and you believe in your ability to create the desired results fear will no longer be a factor.

Know what you want to accomplish . . . . and go after it with passion.

Go out and get busy . . . . with a purpose and you are well on your way to achieving your desired outcome.

Nothing is Impossible

Motivational Power Quote

Nothing is Impossible
“Nothing is impossible; there are always that something that lead
to everything, and if we had sufficient will we should always
have sufficient means. It is often merely for an excuse that
we say things are impossible.”
François De La Rochefoucauld  1613 – 1680, Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Nothing is impossible

Nothing is impossible . . . .  Where there is the will . . . . there will be a way for you to do it.

Your will is your determination to take on what seemingly looks like an impossible task . . . . and to see it through to a successful outcome. The spirit of your will . . . .  becomes your inner strength that focuses your mindset  on creating a pathway to successfully achieve the task.

The power of your will and determination . . . . stems from your strength of character . . . . and that strength will  drive you forward pass your obstacles and setbacks.

Impossible is just an excuse of procrastination of not doing what has to be done.

Nothing is impossible is pushing pass the excuses and the procrastination to do what has to be done . . . . with the belief that you will do it successfully.

Keep Believing and Keep on Keeping On

Motivational Power Quote

Keep Believing and Keep on Keeping On
“Lot’s of people limit their possibilities by giving up easily. Never
tell yourself this is too much for me. It’s no use. I can’t go on. If
you do you’re licked, and by your own thinking. Keep believing
and keep on keeping on.”
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, 1898 – 1993, Minister, Author,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Keep believing and keep on keeping on

Keep believing in yourself . . . . and reinforce it with positive self-talk.

What you believe about yourself . . . . will drive you forward to greater to greater heights or sabotage your success journey.

When you invest in yourself through the use of personal development material . . . . you are fueling yourself with positive thinking. With motivational and inspirational material you will feed your beliefs with what is possible and you will stretch yourself to reach for greater possibilities.

With a strong belief system you will focus on what has to be done . . . . With that belief system you believe that you will achieve the desired results and focus your efforts on achieving that outcome.

Don’t Get Boxed In

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Get Boxed In
“Because most people prefer safe, predictable results, ‘proven’ maps
are usually handed out and followed closely. They are considered
objective, therefore making them easier to teach and establish  a
standard against which to measure. Without realizing it,
your thinking inside-the-box.”
Michael McMillian, American Actor, Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Don’t get boxed in

At one time the ‘proven’ was the unknown . . . .

It wasn’t until someone tried to do what was previously unproven and succeed was it proven and became a fact.

Those that try to keep you in the box in your thinking . . . . box you into what is known or proven. They box you into the old and the safe in a business model and this become a one way ticket to the end of the line.

Many of the business failures that we are seeing today . . . . are business trapped into the thinking of doing it that way they have always done it. The business continues do the same way because it’s in their comfort zone.

Many businesses that are failing today because of old thinking . . . . is creating an enormous opportunity for the out of the box thinker.  Forward thinkers see the opportunity that change offers and look forward to find a way to make the most out of that change.

Forward thinkers think in terms of what can be . . . . not in what was . . . .

Open up your thinking . . . . and don’t get boxed in.

The Quality of Your Service

Motivational Power Quote

The Quality of Your Service
“A market is never saturated with a good product, but it is very
quickly saturated with a bad one.”
Henry Ford 1863 - 1947, Founder of the Ford Motor Company

As I see it . . . . . . .

The quality of your service

No matter what business you’re in . . . . what your role is in your company . . . . or what product you offer.

You are in the business of providing service . . . . The quality of that service is the differentiator in how consumers judge you and your company. Your service will determine if a consumer uses your services or that of a competitor. It will also determine if that consumer will return to do business with you again.

In the business world unless you service stands out . . . . the customers will stay away.

The quality of your service will speak volumes about you and your business . . . . Your customers will hear that message loud and clear. And that message will be one of positive interaction with the people they meet . . . . or one of negative experiences and missed opportunities.

There Will be Roadblocks

Motivational Power Quote

There Will be Roadblocks
“If you’re trying to achieve, there will be roadblock. I’ve had them;
everybody has had them. But obstacles don’t have to stop you.
If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure
out how to climb it, go through it or work around it.”
Michael Jordan, Basketball Player

As I see it . . . . . . .

There will be roadblocks

There will be roadblocks . . . . to think any less is not being realistic.

As with anything in life that’s worthwhile . . . . there is a price that’s comes in achieving it.

As in Michael Jordan case . . . . he had to deal with rejection when he was cut and did not make his high school team.

How did Michael deal with that rejection? Was be in as state of denial? Did he make excuses? Did he quit on himself?

The answer is NO . . . .

Michael wanted to get better and make the basketball team.

With the help of the high school basketball coach the one who cut Michael, he worked tirelessly with Michael . . . . to help him get better.

And when it was time for tryouts the next season . . . . Michael was ready he made the team and the rest is history.

There will be roadblocks . . . . Your future depends on how you handle them . . . . and what you do with them.

Interesting Way to Avoid Poverty

Motivational Power Quote

Interesting Way to Avoid Poverty
“You need to do things in this country to avoid poverty – finish
high school, marry before having a child and marry after the
age 20.Only 8 percent of the families who do this are poor;
79 percent of those who fail to do this are poor .”
William Galston, Chair in Studies and Fellow at the
Brookings Institution

As I see it . . . . . . .

Interesting way to avoid poverty

They sound so simple . . . . could they be true?

Could a person prevent living a lifetime of poverty .  . . . by finishing high school?

Is it a good idea to wait to be married . . . . before you have a child?

What about waiting to be married until you’re . . . .  after the of age 20?

What I find interesting is that only 8% of the families who follow those 3 simple steps life a life in poverty . . . . 79% of the people who fail to follow the steps are poor.

Is there a lesson to be learned in the quote? And how is that lesson passed onto the children . . . . so they live a life without poverty?

is there a success tip embedded in the quote?

Interesting way to avoid poverty . . . .

that your really begins.”

Today Really Counts

Motivational Power Quote

Today Really Counts
“What you do today can change the course of your life-far
into the future. Today really counts.”
Ralph S. Marston Jr. Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Today really counts

Today is an important day in your life . . . . you have been blessed with 24 precious hours.

The day is you’re to use in any way you choose . . . .  The one sure thing about today is it will never come your way again. You can use the 24 hours that you have been given in a way to contribute to your future and your future success. Or you can let the day slip away without creating value in your life now or in the future.

Difficulties Will . . . .

Motivational Power Quote

Difficulties Will . . . .
“The more difficulties one has to encounter within and without the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be.”
Horace Bushnell 1802 – 1876, American Congregational
Minster and Theologian

As I see it . . . . . . .

Difficulties will . . . .

Difficulties will . . . . inspirer one person to look at their difficulties realistically and with commitment and determination focus on successfully working their way through them.

While another person, will look at their difficulties as a mountain to high to climb . . . .  and they will spend a lot of time worrying about them. While at the same time they do their best to deny them.

The person who addresses their difficulties . . . . is facing the challenge at hand. By facing the difficulties they will be in a far better position  to search for the best solution and be proactive apply what has to be done to resolve the difficulties .

The person that’s in denial about the difficulties . . . . allows themselves to become overwhelmed by the difficulties.

The Delbert Principle of Ineffective Workers

Motivational Power Quote

The Delbert Principle of Ineffective Workers
“The Dilbert Principle: The most ineffective workers are
systematically moved to the place where they can do
the least damage.”
Scott Adams, American Cartoonist

As I see it . . . . . . .

The Delbert Principle of ineffective workers

They can be in every walk of life . . . .

Sometimes there’s hired as a favor and nobody knows what they will do with them . . . . They are just there collecting money and taking up space for no good reason and without a real job or purpose.

People hide them in an organization so they don’t have to become accountable for them . . . . and make believe that they don’t exist.

For reasons beyond belief they get promoted . . . . and reach a higher level of being incompetent. People around them cover for them and blame other people for their mistakes and failures.

Over time they become a Teflon executive . . . . and one day they are put into a position where they’re way over their head.

What happens next . . . .  the company finds themselves being managed out of business.

The Delbert Principle of ineffective workers  . . . . Is being moved forward in an organization where they should have never been hired in the first place. Or where they should have been terminated but someone always seems to step in and cover for them.
