Experience is a Marvelous Thing

Motivational Power Quote

Experience is a Marvelous Thing
“Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to
recognize a mistake when you make it again.”
Franklin P. Jones 1908 – 1980, Journalist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Experience is a marvelous thing

It’s that little voice playing in the background of your thinking that seems to popup to tell you to keep going . . . . it also pops up and tells you to make adjustments.

That voice is the voice of your experience coming to the surface . . . . and guilds your decisions from the wisdom of your past experiences.

Your experiences are worth their weight in gold when you listen to them. They will prevent from stepping into quicksand and sinking . . . . That voice of your past experiences will come through to draw on to help you to make good choice.

Your experiences will speak to you . . . . but there are times listening becomes optional and that those time you are at the greatest risk a repeating a mistake.

Experience is a marvelous thing . . . .  in the hands of a person that will use the wisdom of their experiences.

Right is Right

Motivational Power Quote

 Right is Right
Right is right, even if everyone is against it;
and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”
William Penn 1644 - 1718, English Real Estate Entrepreneur,
Philosopher, Quaker and Founder of the Province of
Pennsylvania

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Right is right

There are times that you will be asked . . . . to compromise your integrity.

It can be in your business practices . . . . by not presenting a contract in a timely fashion because we’re asks us to hold off for 24 hours. It can be a seller asking us to not mention a defect in a property . . . .  Or we are asked by someone not to show the property because they may be getting an offer.

It can happen in negotiations, it can be on the edge of the Code of Ethics. There are a number of “little thing” that we can be asked to do “just this one time”.

Things are either right or wrong and when your being asked to bend the rules for them . . . . they are asking you to compromise our integrity. A little wrong can accelerate out of your control and turn into a big thing or a disaster.

What’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong . . . .  it’s not matter what the size of what the wrong is. Take the high road of doing what’s right and you will never have to look over your shoulder.

The real test of courage is internal . . . .

The real test of courage can come in the solitude in your quiet moments . . . . when you have to make a decision that only you can make . . . . and you make it.

Worry Less and Do More

Motivational Power Quote

Worry Less and Do More
“If I spent as much time doing the doing the things I worry
about getting done as I do worrying about doing them I
wouldn’t have anything to worry about.”
Beryl Pfizer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Worry less and do more

When you’re worrying about what you have to do . . . . you do less then you have to do. When you do less then you have to do . . . . you worry about not doing what you had to do.

Worry becomes a downward spiral into the abyss of negative thinking . . . . and inaction.

Worry also becomes the root for the stress in your life . . . . and many sleepless nights.

If you would invest the amount of time in doing what has to be done . . . .  that you spend worrying about what you have to do . . . .  With that shift in your time to what you have do. You would get far more done . . . . remove much of the worrying from your  life  . . . . and reduce your stress.

You worry less and do more . . . . by doing what has to be done.

Life Can be an Obstacle Course

Motivational Power Quote

Life Can be an Obstacle Course
“When you dare to dream, dare to follow that dream; dare to
suffer through the pain, sacrifice, self-doubts and friction
from the world.”
Laura Schlessinger, Talk-Show Host

As I see it . . . . . . .

Life can be an obstacle course

Your dreams become within your reach . . . . with massive effort.

Through may experience of working with thousands of business professionals throughout the country there seems to very interesting ongoing conversation regarding having dreams and setting goals.

Over the last twenty years we have been living a society of entitlement.

Let me explain . . . .

In many youth sporting events they no longer keep score . . . . the concept is there is no winner and there are no losers.

The players have no sense of achievement for their efforts and it kills the competitive nature of the game and in the kids. They grow up without having to strive to get better. Because when the season is over everyone gets a trophy for showing up and not for excelling.

In schools they hold back the gifted students . . . . so the other students can catch up.
Classes should be based on getting the most out of every student in the class based on their ability. Some students will go to college and some won’t. But every student deserves the opportunity for an education . . . . and its up to them to make the most out of their educational opportunities.

The key is to prepare the students to be able to navigate the obstacle course of life . . . . Also the schools have to prepare them to go to college or into the work force.

The key is they have to be prepared . . . .

To be able to live your dreams . . . . your going to have navigate the obstacle course of your life and take the personal responsible for your life’s journey.

You also have to be willing to pay the tolls . . . . to reach your destination.

Life can be an obstacle course . . . . your dreams are within your reach when you make the commitment to achieve  them and make a massive effort to live your dream.

Block Out the Negative

Motivational Power Quote

Block Out the Negative
“Character isn’t inherited. One builds it daily by the way one thinks
and acts, thought by though, action by action. It one lets fear or
hate or anger take possession of the mind, they become
self-forged chains.”
Helen Douglas 1900 – 1980, American Actress, Politician

As I see it . . . . . . .

Block out the negative

One must be aware of their circumstances . . . . and what you’re feeding into your mind.

Your mind acts like a living computer . . . . Your thinking is programmed into your mind and becomes the basis for how you program your life.

What you program into your mind will be reflected in your attitude . . . . Become the foundation for your actions . . . . and a critical component in your relationships.

When you program your thinking in the format of positive thinking and information you will have a positive outlook in your thinking and actions. It will be reflected in your attitude in your thinking and in your action.

The positive thinkers will have their sharing of challenges and setbacks . . . . As positive thinking you are focused forward and with positive outlook you will seek out solutions to your challenges and find a way to successfully work through your challenges.

Positive thinkers . . . . block out the negative in their life.

When negative conditions come into the life of a positive thinking . . . . they focus on successfully resolving the condition . . . . They won’t allow the condition to become a barrier to their forward progress or prevent them from reaching their objectives.

Block out the negative  . . . . focus on the positive.

The Willingness to Accept Responsibility

Motivational Power Quote

The Willingness to Accept Responsibility
“Character – the willingness to accept responsibility for one’s our
life – is the source from which self – respect springs.”
Joan Dillion

As I see it . . . . . . .

The willingness to accept responsibility

No one likes to make a mistake . . . . encounter obstacles . . . . or to meet with a failure. In reality we all . . . . do.

Your time is better spent in finding solutions . . . . them in wasting it in trying to make excuses.

Conditions come and go through your life . . . . dealing with what has to be done and finding solutions is using your time productively.

Making excuses will take your eye off the ball . . . . It sends you down a slippery slope of misuse of your time without come up with an acceptable solution . . . . or making forward progress.

When you willing to accept responsibility  . . . . you take your bumps upfront. Your able to put them behind you and focus on finding solutions and moving forward.

The only way you can try to avoid obstacle and issues is by staying in your comfort zone. The willingness to accept responsibility . . . . is accepting the responsibility for your own success and for working through the difference conditions in encounter in your life.

As I see it . . . . . . .

Close only counts in the games quates and horse shoes.

You don’ get a touchdown . . . . for almost catching a pass in the end zone. You get a touchdown by playing the game with persistence’s and getting to the end zone.

You don’t get a homerun . . . . for a ball you hit into the stands foul. You get a homerun when step back in the battler’s box and hit the ball into the stands fair.
