Communications is Interactive

Motivational Power Quote

Communications is Interactive
“Real communication is an attitude, an environment. It is the
most interactive of all processes. It requires countless hours
of eyeball to eyeball, back and forth. It involves more
listening than talking.”
Jack Walsh, Former CEO of General Electric

As I see it . . . . . . .

Communications is interactive

Communications is a process and the most effective communication remains face to face where the people are communicating at arm’s length distant.

Far too many people confuse the art of communication . . . . and believe that the person that has the most to say controls the communications.

In actually it has the opposite effect on communications . . . . the person that’s continually speaking . . . . loses control of the communication process along with the person that their speaking to.

The death of communication comes from speaking too much . . . . and not listening.

Effective communications involves far more listening than it does speaking.

The effective communicator is a proactive listener . . . . and as a result gathers a great deal of useful information.

The person that conditions themselves to listen . . . . will control the communications . . . . and come out on the winning side of the conversation.
