Maturity Is . . . .

Motivational Power Quote

Maturity Is . . . .
“Maturity is the ability to stick with a job until it’s finished;
the ability to do a job without being supervised;
to ability to carry money without spending it;
and the ability to bear an injustice without wanting to get even.”
Abigail Van Buren, AKA Dear Abby

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Maturity is . . . .

Maturity is taking the personal responsible for our life and the direction that our life takes.

When our life is moving in a direction that we’re not happy with, it will be up to us to change the course of our life and to take a new path.

Maturity is in finding answers and taking responsible not in accessing blame.

Maturity is not about age it’s about a state of mind and in the choices we make. Many times we will make progress in our choices that we decide not to make.

Maturity is looking at both sides of a decision before we make them.

A mature person will do what’s right because it’s the right thing to do and not what’s politically correct because other people when us to make a decision.

Maturity is finding happiness in who they are, in what we have and in striving for what we want to achieve.

There is No Success Without Learning

Motivational Power Quote

There is No Success Without Learning
“Learning is not compulsory. . .
neither is survival.”
Dr. W. Edwards Deming, consultant, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

There is no Success without learning

Moving into future is like leaving on a cross country trip without directions. The trip is become one of wandering and drifting without any directions.

The future belongs to those who are the continued learner. They accumulate the knowledge to compete successfully in the new and challenging business environment.

Relevant knowledge properly applied becomes a powerful tool. The lack of knowledge becomes fatal.

A key element to the future is learning the skills and accumulating the knowledge that gives us the ability to master our field of endeavor. When we apply the skills and knowledge in an effective manor we move ahead of our competition.

The price of being a non learner is astronomical and paid over a life time of regrets.

The price for learning is paid today for future success.

Learning opens the doors to the future and greater success with the right keys. There is no success without learning.

Asking Questions Increases Our Performance

Motivational Power Quote

Asking Questions Increases Our Performance
“Asking questions will get you
the performance you are after
far better than dictating demands.”
Dan James

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Asking questions increases our performance

Asking questions is a sign of respect and showing sincere interest in the person that we are speaking with.
In response to asking questions we form a relationship with the person and build rapport.

Rapport opens the door for continuous exchange of information and communication.

When we make demands of people often this can shut off open and honest communication with the other person and they may feel threatened, angry, or both. From that point forward communication, relationships, and negotiations breakdown.

Making demands can also jeopardize a relationship and close the door on future opportunities.

As we continue to ask questions we gather information. When that information is properly utilized we are seen as a problem solver.

As a problem solver, we help the other person and we gain momentum that continuously moves us in the direction of our goals and objectives.

Asking questions increases our performance and places us in a win – win situation.

Fanning the Spark of Possibilities

Motivational Power Quote

Fanning the Spark of Possibilities
“Fan the spark of possibility
into the flame of achievement.”
Author Unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Fanning the spark of possibilities . . . .

The greatest of possibilities starts with a spark.

Take that spark and fan it with passion into the flame of unlimited possibilities and achievement.

That spark needs our attention and has to be fanned with consistency and determination to become a flame.

The spark has to be protected from the winds of negativity that threatens to blow the flame out.

Make the flame yours; keep that flame alive in your heart and with you through out your success journey. Your flame will light the way for you to follow the pathway to achieving you’re goals.

The greatest of journeys start with fanning the spark of possibilities and turning spark into your life’s purpose.

Self Pity is Our Enemy

Motivational Power Quote

Self Pity is Our Enemy
“Self pity is our worst enemy,
and if we yield to it,
we can never do
anything good in the world.”
Helen Keller, blind and deaf educator

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Self pity is our enemy

Self pity becomes a trap of the mind that moves us into the dark world of negative thinking, negative action and negative results.

If we yield to self pity we become involved in a endless downward spiral. This spiral can throw our lives into a tailspin where things get out of control and make it seem as if there is no way out.

When we become involved in challenging situations never yield to self pity.

We have to resist self pity with all of our strength we maintain positive thinking about the condition and stay focused on solutions, not self pity.

Self pity is our enemy, positive thinking and focused efforts are our friend.

Motivational Power Quote

The Secret of Determination
“Determination gives you the resolve
to keep going in spite
of the roadblocks that lay before you.”
Denis Waitley, Author, Speaker

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The secret of determination

The secret of determination is formed within our choices.

Determination is a choice of seeing things through to a successful conclusion no matter how challenging the circumstances may appear to be or becomes.

Choose to visualize a successful outcome, see the ending exactly as you would like it to be and be determined to achieve your desired outcome.

A person who is truly determined and is committed to make the efforts necessary to reach their desired outcomes has the advantage of self – confidence in achieving their goals.

A determined person has an expectation of success before they start their success journey and they take the first step with a positive expectation of the outcome. They know the path that they will have to travel and they boldly step in the directing of their future with the expectations of succeeding.

Successful people are determined to succeed and replace the word failure with the philosophy that they are experiencing a temporary setback and believe that a setback gets them one step closer to reaching their desired outcome.

The secret of determination is in your choices and the first choice is to believe that you will succeed. The second choice is to take the actions to succeed and the third choice is to start now.
