The Risk of Comfortable Inaction

The Risk of Comfortable Inaction
“As we face the coming challenge, we too shall wait upon
the lord . . . . to give the individual the opportunity to
realize his own highest possibilities . . . . But they are
far less than long – range risks and
cost of comfortable inaction.”
John F. Kennedy 1917 – 1963, 35th President
of the United States

As I see it . . . . . . .

The risk of comfortable inaction

The cost of inaction comes with a high cost . . . . that exceeds the cost of an occasional mistake.

The cost of inaction is paid for in installment over a life time . . . . That cost is created by the lack of forward progress . . . . and the lack of achievement.

A person with a proactive plan that takes a calculated risk has a strategic advantage over the person who takes no action. The person that takes a calculated risk . . . .  risks a setback . . . . They also create the forward momentum and the opportunity to succeed.

Inaction freezes a person in place . . . . and the risk of long term failure increased as a result of their failure to act.

There are no sure things in life . . . . Success favors the person that person is proactive and takes action.

The risk of comfortable inaction . . . . comes with a high cost . . . . of being left behind without ever realizing your full potential.

It’s Your Perseverance

It’s Your Perseverance
“In the realm of ideas everything depends on enthusiasm . . . . in
the real world all rests on perseverance.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe 1749 - 1832, German Writer
and Politician

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s your perseverance

Your enthusiasm is the fire in your passion that gets you started . . . . and gives you the  zeal to keep a high energy level in pursuing a successful outcome.

It’s your perseverance that creates the staying power in your will to keep you going in the face of challenging conditions.

Your perseverance is the determination THAT YOU WILL SUCCEED. With that determination you will push through your obstacles and breakdown the barriers that you encounter in your pursuit to achieve successful results.

It’s your perseverance that will carry the day . . . . and create the forward momentum to keep you moving in the right direction.

It’s your perseverance that will successfully carry you across the finish line.

When everything is said and done it will going to be your perseverance.

Determination to Keep Pushing Forward

Determination to Keep Pushing Forward
“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you knock long
enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to
wake up somebody.”
Henry Waldsworth Longfellow 1807 – 1882
American Poet and Novelist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Determination to keep pushing forward

Are you determined to achieve your goals . . . . and to be successful?

Are you determined to keep knocking on the door . . . . until it opens?

Are you determined to push through your obstacles . . . . to reach your objectives?

Are you determined to pick yourself up after a failure . . . . and keep trying?

Are you determined to keep pushing forward . . . . through the storms in your life?

Are you determined not to become sidetracked . . . .  by your successes?

The determination to keep pushing forward . . . . is very interesting. Some people will lose focus of their long term objective by the challenges that they face. While other people become complacent by their successes.

In either case if they lose their determination to keep pushing forward they will lose the momentum on their success journey which can retail their career.

Your determination to keep pushing forward on your success journey? Becomes paramount to your long term success and in successfully achieving your goals.

Persistence’s of Effort

Motivational Power Quote

Persistence’s of Effort
“When nothing seems to help, I go and look at the stonecutter
hamming away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without
much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first
blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow
that did it – but all that had gone before.”
Jacob Riis, Photographer and Journalist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Persistence’s of effort

Just as the continuous flow of water will wear away at solid rock . . . . Persistence’s of effort will wear down the obstacles that you encounter on your success journey.

It’s your persistence’s of your efforts over an extended period that will continually erode the obstacle and barriers that stand in the way of your achieving your goals and objectives.

The affects of your efforts accumulates  . . . . your positive efforts will create forward momentum on your success journey and continue to move you in the right direction.

Just as the stonecutter continually chips away at the stone to create their masterpiece . . . . As a business professional you have to chip away at you profession everyday to create the breakthroughs to push you forward in your profession.

Your persistence’s of effort . . . . will keep you on the cutting edge of your profession . . . . You will never know which effort will be the one that makes the difference . . . . until after the effort that’s root.

Channel the Sort Into Power

Motivational Power Quote

Channel the Sort Into Power
“No steam or gas drives anything until it is confined. No Niagara
is ever turned into light and power until it is tunneled. No life
ever grows great until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined.”
Harry E. Fosdick 1878 – 1919, America Pastor

As I see it . . . . . . .

Channel the sort into power

The mighty Niagara River has also been a powerful river . . . . But wasn’t until man harnessed the power of the river where they able to harness the power and turn it into electricity for millions of homes and businesses.

You see it in business every day people have the desire to succeed and they work hard . . . . they move from task to task . . . . they put out fires. But at the end of the day they have made very little process in moving forward in their career.

It not the lack of desire that’s holding them back . . . . it’s the lack of focus that’s creating the issue.

The sort of your power is your person energy . . . . and when you use it with a purpose it becomes an enormous resource on your success journey. Focus your personal energy on achieving your objectives and in creating forward momentum.

Channel the sort into power . . . . unleash the power of your personal energy and create the momentum of the Niagara River in the direction of your goals.

Do Something Worthwhile Every Day

Motivational Power Quote

 Do Something Worthwhile Every Day
“The greatest use of your life is to spend it for something
that will outlast it.”
William James 1842 – 1910, American psychologist and philosopher

Anything is Possible

Motivational Power Quote

Anything is Possible
“Start by doing what’s necessary
then what’s possible,
and suddenly you’re doing the impossible.”
Francis of Assisi, clergyman

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Anything is possible

Anything is possible to those who believe in themselves and have the passion to pursue their dreams.

Have a vision of what you want to achieve in your life and burn that image into your thinking until you can see it happening. Put your vision into a plan, set your course and take the steps to have your vision become a reality.

Take small steps everyday to achieve small accomplishments. You will build big things off of your small accomplishments and continue to build momentum in doing what’s possible. Your momentum will create a break through. In that break through you’ll experience doing what others would have considered impossible.

You now have turned the impossible into a reality.

Anything is possible for those who believe that they can and take the actions to make it happen.

No Parking Zone

Motivational Power Quote

No Parking Zone
“The road to success is lined with
many tempting parking spaces.”
Source unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

No parking zone

The success journey is not an expressway, nor is it a parking lot.

We have to commit ourselves to your success journey and to stay on course.

As you travel down the path of your success journey, there will be times that it would appear easier to off the path and to park your efforts then to stay on course and to continue the journey. At the very moment you have reach a critical juncture on your success journey. One that side tracks your success journey and the other that keeps you pushing forward to reach your full potential and achieving your goals.

Parking your efforts will create a lost of forward momentum and makes it very challenging to recapture your momentum and to restart your success journey.

The pace of your success journey will continually adjust. But one thing that has to remind consistent is that you have to keep moving in the direction of our goals to achieve success.

The success journey is a no parking zone.

Keep Your Momentum

Motivational Power Quote

Keep Your Momentum
“One way to keep momentum going
is to have constantly greater goals.”
Michael Korda, novelist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Keep your momentum

Use your goals as milestones on your success journey to measure your progress. As you achieve one goal look to the horizon and set dead aim on your next goal. Set your aim on that goal and go after it with passion and keep your momentum going until you achieve that goal.

As you reach one goal stretch yourself forward to your next goal. As you stretch yourself you will never return to where you were. You become a new and more productive person.

Your goals are the stepping stones to a productive life and prosperity.

Use your goals as a motivator that keeps your momentum moving you forward.

As you achieve your goals set bigger and bolder goals and you will find that with persistence they become within your reach.

Keep the forces of your momentum going and you will find that your momentum picks up speed and keeps you going in the right direction the direction of your goals and greater achievement.

Your momentum propels you forward in the direction of your goals.

Keep your momentum and success journey going and you will put the air under your wings to lift you to greater heights.

Adjust Your Sails

Motivational Power Quote

Adjust Your Sails
“The pessimist complains about the world.
The optimist expects it to change.
The leader adjusts his sails.”
John C. Maxwell, leadership expert, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Adjust your sails

The winds of our life are in constant change. Adjust your sails to take advantage of the changing winds.

Be willing to adjust to the changes in your life. In that willingness we will discover opportunity.

By adjusting your sails you will continue to sail in the direction of your goals and to navigate through the storms of life. Adjusting your course along the way will keep you on course to achieve your goals.

It takes courage to adjust you sails on your success journey but in the adjustments we regain the momentum of pushing forward.

Live Your Life Forward

Motivational Power Quote

Live Your Life Forward
“Often people attempt to live backwards:
they try to have more things, or more money,
in order to do more of what they
want so they will be happier.
The way it actually works is the reverse.
You must first be who you really are,
then do what you love to do,
in order to have what you want.”
Margaret Young, musician

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Live your life forward

Dream big dreams and turn your dreams into goals and take massive action to turn your goals into a reality.

Dreaming of what can be without taking the steps to fill full your dreams creates a trail of unfilled dreams and lead to bitterness. Dreams that are converted into goals create a purpose in your life and a target to aim for.

Your goals create the purpose to move your life from where it is today to where you want it to be in the future.

Goals are the way to create the vision for your future and a pathway to bring the things into your life that you have dreamed about.

Achieving what you want in your life will require a vision of the future as you want it to be. Clear goals to give your life a sense of purpose and direction. But if we truly want something we have to commit ourselves to achieving the desired outcome and to the hard work to create the results.

Success is not produced in a vacuum and if you want to live a successful life you have to create it.

Live your life forward and you will accumulate the momentum to achieve your dreams and goals.

Asking Questions Increases Our Performance

Motivational Power Quote

Asking Questions Increases Our Performance
“Asking questions will get you
the performance you are after
far better than dictating demands.”
Dan James

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Asking questions increases our performance

Asking questions is a sign of respect and showing sincere interest in the person that we are speaking with.
In response to asking questions we form a relationship with the person and build rapport.

Rapport opens the door for continuous exchange of information and communication.

When we make demands of people often this can shut off open and honest communication with the other person and they may feel threatened, angry, or both. From that point forward communication, relationships, and negotiations breakdown.

Making demands can also jeopardize a relationship and close the door on future opportunities.

As we continue to ask questions we gather information. When that information is properly utilized we are seen as a problem solver.

As a problem solver, we help the other person and we gain momentum that continuously moves us in the direction of our goals and objectives.

Asking questions increases our performance and places us in a win – win situation.

The Time is Now

  Motivational Power Quote

The Time is Now

“Do not wait; the time will never
be ‘just right’.
Start where you stand and work
with what ever tools you may have
at your command,
and better tools will be found as you go along.”
Napoleon Hill, author

The time is now

Don’t wait for a perfect time to start; start now with the resources you have.

Start now; push forward, make progress and create momentum.

Be Comfortable With Change

Motivational Power Quote

Be Comfortable With Change

“Life is know only by those
who have found a way to be comfortable
with change and unknown.
Given the nature of life,
there may be no security,
but only adventure.”
Rachel Naomi Remsen

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Be comfortable with change

One of the few consistences in life is change.

Change should not be feared. Change just happens and we have to make the most of the change that comes into our lives.

Look for the opportunities in the change that we encounter and turn change into an advantage.

Embrace change and use the change as momentum to move forward.

Be comfortable change and make change work for you.

Move Forward Without Fear

Motivational Power Quote

Move Forward Without Fear

“Success in business requires
training and discipline and hard work.
But if you’re not
frightened by these things,
the opportunities are just
as great today as they ever were.”
David Rockefeller

As I see it. . . . . . . .
Move forward without fear.

Being prepared for success removes the fear of moving forward.

Success will be available for those who are willing to develop the skills required to succeed and have the discipline to move forward with a purpose.

As we move forward hard work will accelerate our momentum on our success journey.

Move forward with confidences and fear will evaporate into a distance memory.
