Practice Makes Permanent

Motivational Power Quote

Practice Makes Permanent
“People create their own success by learning what they need to learn
and then by practicing it until they become proficient at it.”
Brian Tracy, author consultant, speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Practice makes permanent

I grew up in the inner city of Trenton N.J. in basketball culture. Every elementary school in the city at the time had a basketball team. Basketball was played at a very completive level and the league was the feeder system for the local high schools.

A large number of the basketball player when on to compete at the college level with scholarships.

As a sixth grader you had the opportunity to try out for your schools team and I had the good fortune to make the team.

How the rest of the story . . . .

One day at practice before the season began we were having one of those days that elementary kids have. The majority of kids weren’t taking practice very seriously and quite frankly driving the coach craze that day.

Coach Jack was not very happy with the practice or the players that day and as only Coach Jack could blow his whistle and announced that practice was over.

We where only into the practice for about fifteen minutes when Coach Jack had enough and blow the whistle and said practice was over.

That’s not what the players wanted to hear.  The players responded with that the team had over hour of practice left. Coach Jack responded by saying that what he was seeing was not practice and it looked like a half hearted effort disorganized effort.

What Coach Jack said next was a life lesson that I carry with me today.

Coach Jack said that perfect practice makes your better and the way you practice makes what your practicing permanent and that as a team we were practicing to lose.

After a stern and motivational team meeting we resumed practice and when on to become winners that season.

Practice makes permanent, practice and prepare yourself to achieve your goals and to cross the finish line and into the winners circle of life.

Put Yourself In The Right Place At The Right Time

Motivational Power Quote

Put Yourself In The Right Place At The Right Time
“Luck is being in the right place at the right time,
but location and timing are to some extent under our control.”
Natasha Josefowitz, PhD, author, poet

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Put yourself in the right place at the right time

When we’re in the right place at the right time it’s not a matter of luck; it a person that recognizes opportunity and prepared themselves to see and take advantage of them.

The person that recognizes opportunity has a possibility attitude and has prepared themselves to succeed.

Luck doesn’t put the person in the right place at the right time; we put ourselves in the right place.

Being in the right place is a result of our commitment to our continued professional development and having the mind set of being aware of the opportunities that are around us.

Our attitude becomes a major factor on what we see and how we respond to what we see. An attitude of what can be opens the doors to the opportunities for us to see them and if we take advantage of them.

We control where we’re standing and if we are in the right place and our preparation determines if it’s the right time.

You put yourself in the right place at the right time when you prepare yourself for success.

Believe and Act As If It Impossible To Fail

Motivational Power Quote

Believe and Act As If It Impossible To Fail
“All that is necessary to break the spell of
uncertainty and frustration is this:
Act as if it were impossible to fail.”
Dorothea Brande, writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Believe and act as if it’s impossible to fail

Start your day with positive self-talk. As you start each day look into the mirror and repeat the following affirmation with passion several times until your affirmation becomes your passion.

“Today is my day - - and it’s belongs to me. I can stretch my limits to max and I will success.”

Believe that day belongs to you. Prepare yourself to make the day your day and invest your time in the activities that will ensure success.

Your affirmation will become a personal belief and an expectation of what will be.

What we believe, we become. What we achieve will never be higher then what we believe that we will achieve.

Start everyday with positive affirmation that the day belongs to you and if you believe it, you can achieve it.

Believe and act as if it’s impossible to fail and then support that belief in your activities.

Get The Facts

Motivational Power Quote

Get The Facts
“Every mistake that I made-
and we all make mistakes - come
because I didn’t take the time
to get all the facts
I didn’t drive had enough.”
Charles Knight, artist

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Get the facts

Make every effort not to make a mistake, get the information, get the facts and over prepare to put your self in the position to succeed. But when you do make a mistake correct the situation as soon as possible and move pass the mistake with renewed energy.

Mistakes can happen but when we have the facts and prepare we minimize our mistakes and increase our effectiveness in the things that we do.

When we jump forward to increase our pace and we fail to get the facts and prepare we will increase our missteps and end up with lost momentum. When we fail to get the facts we diminish our effectiveness and create a misuse of our time.

Get the facts in advance of taking action places you in a positive position to succeed and creates a clearer vision of what has to be done.
