Sometimes Progress Come in Small Steps

Sometimes Progress Come in Small Steps
“Progress is not always measured in the size of the steps
that you are taking . . . . progress is measured
by moving in the right direction.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
Sometimes progress comes in small steps

Progress can come in small steps . . . . and at a difference pace for each individual. The key is your commitment . . . . and dedication to your continued forward progress to succeed.

By making consistent progress in small steps . . . . and in time you will make the big steps in the direction of achieving your goals.

It’s not the pace of the progress that’s as important . . . . as it is the direction that your moving in . . . . and in the consistency of your efforts that becomes critical.

Sometimes progress come in small steps . . . . just remember it’s not the size of the steps your taking . . . . it’s the direction that your moving in.

Motivation Becomes the Difference

Motivation Becomes the Difference
“Your motivation becomes a driving force in your life . . . .
it will play a critical role in the direction that your life
moves in . . . . and in the level of the success you
achieve. So when it comes right down to it your
motivation makes all the difference
in your life.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
Motivation becomes the difference

The difference between an interest . . . . and inspiration . . . is your motivation.

An interest is a like too . . . . it lacks  commitment . . . . clearly . . . . or direction.

Inspiration brings out your determination . . . . your motivation . . . . and creates a must in your life.

A person that lacks motivation . . . . will lack the spark in their determination . . . . and there determination  will burn out, producing very limiting results.

Motivation is the spark that lights the fire in your determination and fuels your actions. Where there is no fuel of motivation to drive the engine, the engine will not move . . . . Your forward progress on your success journey will come to a grinding stop.

The Risk of Comfortable Inaction

The Risk of Comfortable Inaction
“As we face the coming challenge, we too shall wait upon
the lord . . . . to give the individual the opportunity to
realize his own highest possibilities . . . . But they are
far less than long – range risks and
cost of comfortable inaction.”
John F. Kennedy 1917 – 1963, 35th President
of the United States

As I see it . . . . . . .

The risk of comfortable inaction

The cost of inaction comes with a high cost . . . . that exceeds the cost of an occasional mistake.

The cost of inaction is paid for in installment over a life time . . . . That cost is created by the lack of forward progress . . . . and the lack of achievement.

A person with a proactive plan that takes a calculated risk has a strategic advantage over the person who takes no action. The person that takes a calculated risk . . . .  risks a setback . . . . They also create the forward momentum and the opportunity to succeed.

Inaction freezes a person in place . . . . and the risk of long term failure increased as a result of their failure to act.

There are no sure things in life . . . . Success favors the person that person is proactive and takes action.

The risk of comfortable inaction . . . . comes with a high cost . . . . of being left behind without ever realizing your full potential.

Your Beliefs Determine Your Outcome

A person with a belief in themselves . . . . and in what they’re doing creates the confidence in their actions.

Your beliefs combined with your purpose will determine your actions and those actions will determine your outcome.

Your belief in yourself will lift you to great heights . . . . and open the doors of opportunity for you to walk through.

The beliefs that you have in your thinking . . . . will become a powerful force in your life . . . . one that will move in the direction of your beliefs.

Keep your beliefs positive . . . . and focused on achieving your goals and you will see yourself making forward progress in the direction of achieving your goals.

Your beliefs determine your outcome . . . . Believe in yourself . . . . believe that you can do what has to be done to succeed . . . . believe that you will achieve your goals . . . . and take the actions that move you in the direction of your beliefs.

Your Highest Priorities

Your Highest Priorities
“You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have
the courage - - pleasantly, smilingly, non-apologetically - - to
say ‘no’ to other things. And the way you do that is
by having a bigger ‘yes’ burning inside.”
Stephen R. Covey 1932 -2012, American Educator,
Businessman, Keynote Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Your highest priorities

When you have defined goals . . . . you create a life of purpose in pursuing your goals.

When you can indentify your priorities you will find yourself achieving your goals . . . . You will establish what it will take to achieve your goals and what will be most important in making forward progress.  Also by having priorities, you will be making the best use of your time in successfully achieving your objectives.

Your priorities will keep you centered on your goals and will move you pass the distraction that you encounter along the way.

Your highest priorities will set the course to achieve your goals and objectives. Your goals belong to you . . . . Have the courage to set your priorities and follow them to create successful results.

You Control Your Results

You Control Your Results
“There is no failure expect, in no longer trying, there is no defeat
expect from within, no insurmountable barrier except our
own inherent weakness of purpose.”
Elbert Hubbard 1856 – 1915, American Writer, Publisher,
Artist, Philosopher

As I see it . . . . . . .

You control your results

You make the choices . . . . you decide to keep trying . . . . and you decide to get up after you get knocked down.

So when it comes right down to it you control your results.

On your success journey you will encounter changing conditions there will be obstacles . . . . challenges . . . . setbacks . . . . and failure. You will also encounter forward progress . . . . successful stepping stones . . . . and achieving your goals.

How your treat the changing conditions on your success journey . . . . determines the direction that your success journey will move in.

You’re behind the wheel of your success journey . . . . and you’re the one that makes the choice to put your foot on the accelerator . . . . or to step on the brake . . . . and when your going to pull into the rest stop.

You control your results . . . . turn on your personal navigation system to get you to your destination.

It’s What You Do That Makes the Difference

It’s What You Do That Makes the Difference
“Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing;
prepare while others are playing, and dream while
others are wishing.”
William Arthur Ward 1921 – 1994, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s what you do that makes the difference

Look inward, into yourself to do what has to be done to create successful results.

Measure your forward progress on your success journey against your goals.

Benchmark your activities in creating forward momentum . . . . to move you in the direction of your goals.

The key point is . . . . it’s what YOU DO that makes the difference.

Get a little bit better at what you do everyday . . . . Over time you will get a lot better and that will make a big difference in achieving your goals.

Make the extra effort . . . . and your extra effort will accumulate  and become a difference maker in your career.

Set lofty goals and stretch yourself to reach them.

It’s what you do that makes the difference . . . . strive to be the best you, that you can be and it will make a big difference on your success journey.

Plan and Take Action

Plan and Take Action
“Life is too short to waste. Dreams are fulfilled only through
actions, not through endless planning to take actions.”
David J. Schwartz, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Plan and take action

Planning is a forerunner to achieving your . . . . goals.

Endless planning without executing your plan and taking action . . . . is procrastination. Nothing happens until you act on your plan and take action.

Life is too short to waste on procrastinating . . . . your plan will never be perfect . . . . there will never be a perfect time. What you have is the here and now . . . . take your plan and take action on it. Do the best you can with the resources you have and make adjustments to your plan as you are moving forward.

The only way that you will make forward progress . . . . and to reach your objectives is to plan and take action on your plan.

Be an Unlimited Thinker

Be an Unlimited Thinker
“There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls
around the spirit, no barriers to our progress
expect those we ourselves erect.”
Ronald Reagan, The 40th President of the United States

As I see it . . . . . . .

Be an unlimited thinker

Don’t become trapped into limited thinking . . . .

You opportunities and possibilities are as big as your thinking.

Unlimited thinking creates a world of opportunities.

Limited thinking . . . . create barriers to your forward progress.

With unlimited thinking a barrier becomes. . . . a mere speed bump and a resolvable condition.

Open your mind think in term of what can be . . . . and your thinking is in terms of unlimited possibilities.

Be an unlimited thinker . . . . and you will never see things in the  same way again.

Your Life is a Habit

Your Life is a Habit
“The second half of a man’s life is made up of nothing but the
habits he has acquired during the first half.”
Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Russian Novelist, Short Story Writer,
Essayist, and Philosopher

As I see it . . . . . . .

Your life is a habit

We train yourself to follow a routine . . . . from the side of the bed that you sleep on to the way you put on your clothes.

Those habits follow you throughout your day in both your personal and business relationships. They become ingrained habits are repeated with very little conscious thought.

Your good habit will create the gateway for your future success and create that basis for your future achievement.

Your poor habits become a weight on your shoulders and the longer that your carrying that weight with you the more exhausted that you will become. In time that weight will become overwhelming as zap your strength and enthusiasm and bring your success journey to a standstill.

Your life is a habit . . . . your productive habits will fuel your success journey . . . . and your negative habits will put the brakes on the forward progress of your success journey.

Maximize your positive and productive habits . . . . Take your unproductive habits and make the commitment to yourself to replace them will a new proactive habit.

In time you will be focused on using your productive habits as the fuel for your success journey and you leave your old unproductive on the roadside of your success journey.

Your life is a habit . . . . pick your habits wisely . . . .as they will make your life.

Pain is Temporary . . . . Quitting Lasts Forever

Motivational Power Quote

Pain is Temporary . . . . Quitting Lasts Forever
“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day,
or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else
will take its place. If I quit however it lasts forever.”
Lance Armstrong, American Cyclist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Pain is temporary . . . . Quitting lasts forever

To achieve . . . . is to endure . . . . to continue . . . . and to remain focused on your objectives.

On some days it will feel like you have to climb a mountain to take the next step to make any forward progress . . . . There will be others days where you feel the wind at your back and your sailing along.

There will be times that you feel that you will feel overwhelmed and the pain to move you forward is too much to pay.

In any worthwhile endeavor there is a price of admission and tolls to be paid for your progress . . . . and your success journey is no difference.

When you come to that crossroad on your success journey . . . . Remember pain is temporary . . . . quitting lasts forever and anything worthwhile as a price  attached to it to achieve it.

Persistence Prevails

Motivational Power Quote

Persistence Prevails

“Persistence prevails like a stream that is temporarily blocked by
boulders and their collected force enough to overflow onward.”
Vernon Howard 1918 – 1992, American Spiritual Teacher,
Author and Philosopher

As I see it . . . . . . .

Persistence prevails

As boulders accumulate in a stream the boulders begin to block the forward water flow in the stream until the water can no longer flow through the boulders.

With natures help and the persistent pressure of the water . . . . If the water can’t flow through the boulders the water finds a way to flow over the boulders or around them.

The blockage of water in a stream is like the obstacles in your life . . . .

Boulders can temporarily block the water in a stream . . . . your obstacles can temporarily slow you forward progress. As the water can go over or around the boulders . . . .  you can do the same with your obstacles.

It’s your persistence that prevails to breaks down the boulders in your life allows the water of opportunities to flow into your life.

Persistence prevails . . . . when your persistence in your efforts.

Sometimes You Need a Good Push

Motivational Power Quote

Sometimes You Need a Good Push

“Come to the edge. No, we will fall. Come to the edge. No we will fall.
They came. He pushed them and they flew.”
Guillaume Apollinaire 1880 - 1918, French Poet, Playwright,
Short Story Writer, Novelist, Art Critic

As I see it . . . . . . .

Sometimes you need a good push

There are many conditions that we will face in our lives . . . . that we may need a good push to become unstuck.

You may be stuck in your comfort zone . . . . Your forward progress feels like you’re struck in reverse and your just not making any meaningful forward progress. You may need a good push to get you off the dime to resume meaningful forward progress.

There are times in your life that you may need a hand to pull you forward.

There are also times that what you really need is a good push to get you moving in the right direction.

A good push will help you to regain your forward momentum . . . . change the direction of your career or create a breakthrough in your life and career.

The key is sometimes you need a good push . . . . to lift you to soar with the eagles.

Look Fear in the Face

Motivational Power Quote

Look Fear in the Face
“We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience
in which we really stop to look fear in the face . . . .  we must do
that which we think we cannot.”
Eleanor Roosevelt 1884 -1902, Former First Lady

As I see it . . . . . . .

Look fear in the face

Fear is nasty and can paralyze you in place . . . . It can also prevent you from taking action . . . . . or it can put the brakes on your success journey.

Fear left unchecked can become overwhelming . . . . and stop your forward progress.

On the other hand addressing your fear . . . . puts the condition into prospective and reduces what was once a fear into a condition.

A condition is not to be feared . . . . and a condition can be addressed and managed.

Look fear in the face . . . . and manage the condition . . . . You will find that the condition becomes manageable . . . . and what was once feared is under your control.

Keep Your Eyes on Your Objectives

Motivational Power Quote

Keep Your Eyes on Your Objectives
“It doesn’t matter how fast you get there if you’re heading in
the wrong direction. So you must slow down and see
where you’re going.”
Karen Salmansohn, BS, Self-Help Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Keep your eyes on your objectives

The pace of your success journey is not as important . . . . as successfully reaching your objectives.

You can zoom through your days going as fast as you can go . . . . and when you get there . . . .  you find yourself in the wrong place.

It’s very easy to get off course or to become distracted . . . . Both will burn up your energy . . . . and waste your time without any meaningful forward progress to achieve on reaching your objectives.

Focus on your objectives . . . . create a success plan for your road map and guide. Use your road map to monitor your forward progress and to keep you on course . . . . and that your moving in the right direction.

Keep your eyes on your objectives . . . . and move in that direction with a purpose.

You Paid For Your Success In Advance

Motivational Power Quote

You Paid For Your Success In Advance
“Everyone who has achieved financial independence will tell you that
at least in the early days you have to work smarter and harder.
The price of success must be paid in full, and it must be paid in
advance. There are no shortcuts.”
John Cummuta, Author and Financial Advisor

As I see it . . . . . . .

You paid for your success in advance

On your success journey you will come . . . . to a fork in the road.

One road is Easy Street . . . . On Easy Street there are a number of road signs that trap you into a false sense of security . . . . There is enjoy it now and pay later Lane . . . . You will see the coasting zone . . . .  and there will be an off ramp to a the short cut expressway.

Easy Street . . . . will lead you on a dead end journey of false starts . . . . wasted time and lost opportunities. The only direction that Easy Street takes you is in the wrong direction and further away from your goals.

To reach your destination you have to be willing to start stay on point and work hard.

A journey in the direction of your goals is one that will take time and energy to continue to move in the right direction.

When you choose success you paid for your success and you paid for it in advance . . . . of achieving it.

For those who choose Easy Street . . . . They continue to pay and repaid the tolls because they are moving in circles. They are retracing the same steps over and over without making any forward progress.

You paid for your success in advance . . . . and then you get the benefits of enjoying the fruits of your efforts.

Goals Give You a Target to Aim for
“The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend you
life up and down the field and never scoring.”
Bill Copeland, American Poet, Author and Historian

As I see it . . . . . . .

Goals give you a target to aim for

A goal can big small . . . . or it can be big  . . . . but above all goals give you a target to aim for.

With goals your activities have a purpose . . . . and creates a target for you to aim at with your efforts. The clearer your goals become the more focused your efforts become . . . . greatly enhancing your ability to achieve your desired outcome.

Clearly written goals will keep you centered on your target . . . . and minimize you drifting off course. Your goals also will keep you moving in the direction of your target and goals.

Goals may not make your success journey go faster . . . . What it will do it get you from point A to point B with fewer distractions . . . . making far better use of your time . . . . your energy . . . . and your resources to reach your objectives.

Goals give you a target to aim for . . . . and for your to measure you forward progress on your success journey.

Light Your Own Way

Motivational Power Quote

Light Your Own Way
“Any fool can run towards the light. It takes a master with courage
to turn and face the darkness and shine his own light there.”
Leslie Fieger, Author of the Knowledge Systems

As I see it . . . . . . .

Light your own way

When you encounter darkness on your success journey . . . . you can allow that darkness to control your forward progress . . . . delay your success journey or to bring it to a standstill.

Or you can take control of your success journey . . . . and have the courage to light your own way.

When darkness overcomes your success journey . . . . it’s far better to light your own way then it would be to wait for someone to light the way for you.

Relight the spark of your success journey and bring that light into your day to guild your forward progress . . . . . the light will show you the way and keep you moving and in the right direction.

Light your own way . . . . and your will be in control your fate.

Failure is a Delay Not a Defeat

Motivational Power Quote

Failure is a Delay Not a Defeat
“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is
delay not defeat. It is a temporary detour. Not a dead end.”
Denis Waitley, Self-Help Author and Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Failure is a delay not a defeat

A failure may delay you forward progress . . . . But it’s any a temporary condition.

As a result of a failure you may find yourself taking a detour . . . . But that detour resets your GPS and puts back on track to successfully reach your objectives.

Failure is not a dead end . . . . It’s a new beginning to move forward with more experience and knowledge.

What happens as a result of failure is a mindset . . . . with the mindset of a positive attitude you will find a way to successfully navigate the condition and . . . . to resume your forward progress.

A failure is a temporary condition . . . . unless your mindset makes it permanent
. . . .

Failure is a delay not a defeat . . . . with the right mindset you can make it a short delay.

Your Life is a Reflection of Your Thoughts

Motivational Power Quote

Your Life is a Reflection of Your Thoughts
“We lift ourselves by our thought. We climb upon our vision
of ourselves. If you want to enlarge your life, you must first
enlarge your thoughts of it and of yourself. Hold the ideal
of yourself as you long to be, always everywhere.”
Orison Sweet Marden 1850 – 1924, American Spiritual Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Your life is a reflection of your thoughts

A thought in the minds of Steve Jobs, Bill Gates created the innervation that changed the world.

Stevie Wonder could hear the music in his thoughts and created music for a generation.

A close friend though about writing a book . . . . he has now published 14 books.

What’s in your thoughts? It can never be too big or too small to have value. It’s your thought . . . . thoughts have value.

Your life is a reflection of your thoughts . . . . we all live with our thoughts and those thoughts are reflected in your daily life and activities.

Your positive thoughts will put air under your winds and lift you to greater heights. Your negative thoughts will become quicksand in your life and sink you into the abyss.

Your thoughts are formed over time and become a habit . . . . build your future on a solid foundation of positive thoughts and work on removing the thoughts that are creating obstacles in your forward progress.

Your life is a reflection of your thoughts . . . . when your thoughts get off track or become negative . . . . change the station to the . . . . I can channel.
