When Something Needs to Be Started . . . . Just Do It

When Something Needs to Be Started . . . . Just Do It
“When something has to be started . . . . just do what
has to done.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consult,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
When something needs to be started . . . . Just do it

When something needs to be started . . . . Start from where you are with . . . . with the tools you have and develop the rest along the way.

Waiting to get started until everything is in place . . . . and you become inspired only generates procrastination . . . . Waiting doesn't create inspiration . . . . or get things done. Waiting puts your success journey into reverse.

Let other people procrastinate . . . . but not you . . . . Let other people talk about there going to do . . . . while your getting things done.

When something needs to be started . . . . Move in the direction of what needs to be done. With your first step in the right direction gets you started . . . . and your persistence keeps you moving forward.

The Road You Choose to Take

The Road You Choose to Take
“When you end up isn't the most important thing. It’s the
road you take to get there. The road you take is what
you’ll look back on and call your life. Not reaching
success the end of the world. Not trying to
reach it is.”
Tim Wiley, Entertainment Executive

As I see it. . . . . . . .
The road you choose to take

There are no sure things in life . . . . In trying you open up the possibilities in achieving your objectives.

As you travel the road of your success journey . . . . you create the road that you choose to  follow. When you continue to try . . . . and not to give in to your obstacles and setbacks. It becomes a critical element in achieving your goals and setting the course for your success journey and life.

Trying becomes the exercise in persistence of not given in . . . . or giving up in the rough seas of life . . . . and will focus you on the big picture, not the challenges.

You may miss an occasional objective . . . . But with persistence . . . and in continually trying you laid down a solid foundation to successfully achieve your goals.

The road you choose to take will determine where you end up . . . . choose the road of persistence and keep trying.

A Time to Adjust and Take Action

A Time to Adjust and Take Action
“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction
is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the
action you take will be successful; perhaps difference
action or adjustments will have to follow. But any
action is better than no action at all.”
Dr. Norman Vincent Peale 1898 - 1993, Minister, Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
A time to adjust and take action

Your success journey is not an expressway . . . .  It’s a road where you will encounter obstacles . . . .  setback . . . . and failure. To maximize your success you have to remain persistence . . . . and focus on achieving your desired outcome.

Success is in your ability to make adjustments to your plan . . . . when things are working out as planned . . . . and you reach and impasse. Make the adjustments that are required to get you back on track . . . . and continue to push forward in the direction of your goals.

By adjusting your plan and resetting your internal GPS to navigate the obstacles that you encounter. It will keep you and your success journey on course to achieve your objectives.

When it’s a time to adjust and take action, have the courage to make the course correction that are needed and make the adjustments that are necessary to keep you moving in the right direction . . . . and in the direction of our goals.

Push Forward and Never Give Up

Push Forward and Never Give Up
“Don’t give up. Don’t ever give Up.”
Jim Valvano, Basketball Coach

As I see it . . . . . . .
Push forward and never give up

Many people who failure never realized how close they were to achieving their goals . . . . and gave up.

When you hit a wall on your success journey push forward and never give up. Lean forward into the head winds of life . . . . and push forward through your obstacles.

Give a little extra effort with everything you do . . . . and never give up. Persevere through every challenge and failure you encounter until you succeed.

When things become challenging the course of least resistance is to say it’s too hard . . . . it can’t be done . . . . and to give up which becomes the pathway to regret.

The pathway to success may not always be the easiest one . . . . or the shortest route . . . . But it’s the pathway to success. To achieve success and happiness is to never give up . . . . to weather the storms in life . . . . and to be standing when the storms passes.

To push forward and never give up is a test of your faith and your courage. When you need the motivation to push forward . . . . Push forward with persistence and the faith that you will achieve your goals.

What’s Your Goal?

What’s Your Goal?
“If your goals are larger than your need to be liked, then you
will reach your goals. If your need to be liked is larger than
your goal your goal becomes the need to be liked.”
Jean MacNutt

As I see it . . . . . . .

What’s your goal?

The answer to that question makes a big difference in what direction that your life takes . . . .

When you set a goal to achieve your goals . . . . your goal is to achieve your goal. You create a purpose in your life. With a diligent effort and persistence you can achieve your goals.

When you set out to have people like you . . . . Your goal becomes to have people like you.

Your decisions become based on having people like you.

Here’s the key . . . . People who like you may not respect you  . . . . The person that doesn’t respect you will be very unlikely do business with you.

People who respect will appreciate what you do are far more likely to build a successful business relationship with you.

What’s your goal? Make it your goals goal to build a strong professional relationship with your customers . . . . one built on mutual respect and when you achieve that goals . . . . You will achieve your goals.

In the Beginning it Can be Difficult

In the Beginning it Can be Difficult
“Don’t be afraid if things seem difficult in the beginning. That’s
only the initial impression, the important thing is not to
retreat; you have to master yourself.”
Olga Korbut, Soviet Olympic Gymnast, 4 Gold and 2 Silver Medals

As I see it . . . . . . .

In the beginning it can be difficult

I can think back to . . . . the experience of learning how to ride a bike as a young child . . . . I can still remember getting up close and personal with the side walk many times before I learned to master riding a bike.

With determination a child learns how to master riding a bike.

Sports were no difference . . . . trying to master the skills of playing a sport was not only difficult . . . . it takes both time and persistence to get better and to master the sport.

I can also remember my first time on a computer as an adult trying to understand Word Perfect. The beginning was more than difficult . . . . it way closer to a nightmare with your eyes wide open.

As with any new undertaking the in the beginning it can be difficult . . . . It’s in your determination and persistence that you learn master new things.

Higher Aspirations

Motivational Power Quote

Higher Aspirations
“Far away there is the sunshine of my highest aspirations. I may not
reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them,
and try to follow where they lead.”
Louisa May Alcott 1832 – 1888, American Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Higher aspirations

I can be anything I choose to be . . . .

I can climb the ladder of success to the top . . . .

I have the desire to be the best in what I do . . . .

1 will achieve my goals . . . .

I will life my dreams . . . .

Your higher aspirations are the picture you paint for your future . . . . and with the bush in your hand you can paint that picture  anyway you choose to.

Your highest aspirations are your goals and objectives for your life.

With determination . . . .  and persistence . . . . along with a focused effort you can your turn aspiration into your purpose. Your wants . . . . into a must have in your life.

Keep the pictures . . . . of your higher aspirations burning brightly in your thoughts and the passion in your heart to achieve them.

Go Out and Get Busy

Motivational Power Quote

Go Out and Get Busy
“Inaction feeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage
if you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it.
Go out and get busy.”
Dale Carnegie 1888 – 1955, Author, Lecturer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Go out and get busy

When you want something . . . . or you want something done you have to take the initiative to get it started and to bring it to a successful outcome.

Success is achieved by determined action and persistence . . . .

There may be a fear in starting and in taking action . . . . Fear is a normal human emotion . . . . once you make the commitment to start and take the first step to successfully reach the outcome. Your fear will be washed away by your actions.

Don’t allow fear to build a barrier between you and your objectives . . . . fear is just an emotion. When you’re committed to create a successful outcome and you believe in your ability to create the desired results fear will no longer be a factor.

Know what you want to accomplish . . . . and go after it with passion.

Go out and get busy . . . . with a purpose and you are well on your way to achieving your desired outcome.

Keep Asking

Motivational Power Quote

Keep Asking
“Some people fold after making one timid request. They quit too
soon. Keep asking until you find the answers. In sales there are
usually four or five no before you get a yes.”
Jack Canfield, Author, Success Coach

As I see it . . . . . . .

Keep asking

There is something to be said about persistence in asking . . . . when you want something you may have to ask for it multiple times to get it.

Most people will ask for something one time  . . . . if the answer is no they will normally give up and not ask for it again.

Big Mistake . . . .

With sales as an example you may have to ask for the order 4 to 6 times to hear a yes . . . . if you don’t continue to continue to ask you have the decision at the first no.

With persistence and in asking good questions . . . . you give the person the choice to say yes and it will very likely take multiple opportunities to get to yes.

Here’s a key . . . . the first few no’s are just a reflective response for most people. In many cases they are preoccupied or just trying to blow you off without thinking about what your offering.

Keep digging and you will find out the person’s real motivation . . . . and keep asking. The person with the most persistence will make the sale.

Winners in every walk of have a common thread . . . . they’re persistent and they play to win.

Their preparation gets them into the game and allows them to complete at a high level of play . . . . But it’s their persistence that creates . . . . a degree of separation and a completive advantage when the game is on the line.

Success is Tied to Not Giving Up

Motivational Power Quote

Success is Tied to Not Giving Up
“I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most
people in this business gave up and went on to other things.
If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people
who came in on business with you.”
Harrison Ford, Actor

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success is tied to not giving up

Anything that is worthwhile is working for . . . .

Success is not an event . . . . it’s the result of hard work, persistence, commitment, time and not giving up.

Far too many people decide to give up short of reaching their goals . . . .

When they give up they will never know how close they were to achieve their goals if they stayed the course.

When you read about Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Springsteen, Harrison Ford, Jim Carrey and so many more successful people . . . . Your reading about people who believed in themselves did not give up on themselves or their dreams.

Success is tied to not giving up . . . . when you feel like your back is to the wall and your ready to throw in the towel and give up. Keep going and you will find the breakthrough . . . .

Nurture Your Ideas

Motivational Power Quote

Nurture Your Ideas
“One of the most amazing things about business (and life)
is the power of one idea.
And one of your great challenges as leader is to
understand how to find and nurture them.”
Mac Anderson, Founder of Simple Truth and Successiories

As I see it . . . . . . .

Nurture your ideas

An idea that’s nurtured will bear fruit

Ideas like the Frisbee, Silly Putty and the Pet Rocks where in there day were off the wall idea’s that made their creators multiple millionaires

One idea can light the world, create flight, create a breakthrough,  make a person rich and can create Post-A Note..

It’s not the size of the idea that makes it valuable it’s the size of the persons heart with the idea and their persistence that bring value to the idea.

An idea to market our business more effectively, to prospect for greater results or finding a way to create more referrals would all have a positive impact on our businesses and bottom line.

An idea that never sees the light of day will soon pass; an idea that’s nurtured has the possibilities to have an impact.

Nurture your ideas and the best ones will come to the surface and bear the fruit of making differences.
