Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

Motivational Power Quote

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
“How can you learn and grow when you never step out
and try something new and exciting?
There is never a lack of resources, only a lack of ideas.
Without risk, there can be no progress.
All of us only have so much sand left in the hourglass,
and one day our sand will run out.
The time to risk is now and the great ones know it.”
 Steve Siebold, author, speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Step out of your comfort zone

Your comfort zone creates self imposed limits and you will never grow beyond then as long as you remain in your comfort zone.

Personal growth occurs when you’re willing to leave your comfort zone behind and step into the world and discover the opportunities that are there waiting for you.

There is no progress without risk and when your thinking about stepping out of your comfort zone it can create a feeling of being uncertain and being uncomfortable. But with your first steps out of your comfort zone everything changes.

You path will become clear as you continue to move away from your comfort zone. You will gather more confidence and move forward with a sense of certainly.

Step out of your comfort zone and you will stretch your limits and your opportunities.

Take it Serious

Motivational Power Quote

Take it Serious
“Few people take objective really seriously.
They put average effort into too many things,
rather than superior thought and effort into a
few important things.
People who achieve the most are selective as well as determined.”
Richard Koch, entrepreneur, management consultant, writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take it serious

We will take on many new objectives throughout our career. The success or failure of many of those objectives will be linked back to the start of the project.

The degree of seriousness that we applied to achieving the desired outcome at the beginning of a new project influences the outcome.

When we determine the importance of the project we can commit our efforts to what most important and that will have a positive influence on our business and or our career.

Focus you efforts and energies what’s most important. Your efforts will yield the highest rate of return for you, your business and contribute to your long term success.

Take what you do seriously and focus your efforts on what’s important and you will find your days becoming more productive and there will be more rewards in your efforts.

Take it serious and your business and your world changes for the better.

Be Yourself

Motivational Power Quote

Be Yourself
“To be nobody – but- yourself – in a world which is
doing it’s best night and day, to make you someone else –
means to flight the hardest battle which and human being can flight;
and never stop fighting.”
 E.E. Cummings 1894 – 1962, American Poet

As I see it . . . . . . .

Be yourself

Be yourself the best self that you can be.

There is always someone who wants to come into your life make you over into their image of you. They don’t ask for your permission or if you want a makeover they just zoom ahead and tell how you should look, how you should act and who you should be.

It’s not about adjusting because we do that all of our lives, no it about someone who wants to take control over you and their image of you.

It’s hard enough being who we are then trying to live our life through someone else’s eyes.

Be yourself and grow in the best person that you can be. You have to live in your body and if you get a little better each day you will become the best you that you can be.

Good Listeners

Motivational Power Quote

Good Listeners
“Without question, the art of listening is one of the
most underestimated keys to success.
I want you to stop and think about the friends and
you really enjoy being with,
the bosses you you’ve enjoyed working for,
and I’d e willing to bet they all have one thing in common . . .
they’re good listeners.”
Mac Anderson, Founder Simple Truth, Successories

As I see it . . . . . . .

Good listeners

Good listeners will inherit the earth and control the negotiation process. Oh well they may not inherit the earth but they will make a lot money in their career as result of their listening skills.

A good listener will hear what others miss and gather a great deal of information by listening. They will also create lasting business relationships by listening and understanding their customers’ needs.

As a result of their listening skills they will build rapport with the people they meet. They will also create a large sphere of influence to draw on for future business and referrals.

Good listeners stand out in their profession simply by the fact that they listen. A good listener will do more business, make more money and become more successful.

Challenge What’s True

Motivational Power Quote

Challenge What’s True
“If we all worked on the assumption that what
is accepted as true were, really true,
there would be little hope of advancement.”
            Orville Wright, aviation pioneer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Challenge what’s true

Between early 1890’s through 1903 the Wright Brothers challenged the notion that man could not fly in a motorized aircraft.

On December 17, 1903 the Wright Brothers made history and lifted off for the first manned flight of a motorized aircraft and the world changed forever.

Man can’t fly, done.

Man can’t go into space, done.

Man can’t land on the moon, done.

Man can’t go to Mars, in progress.

If we allow old beliefs to control our thinking those thoughts would limit our future of can be possible. When we open our minds everything becomes possible when we try.

Challenge what’s true, stretch the limits and the possibilities will be there for you.

Four Freedoms Plus One

Motivational Power Quote
Four Freedoms Plus One
“We look forward to a world founded upon
four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression.
The second is freedom of every person to worship
God in his own way.
The third is freedom from want . . . .

The Will Has to be Strong

Motivational Power Quote

The Will Has to be Strong
“Champions aren’t made in gyms.
Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - -
a desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have the skill, and the will.
But the will must be stronger than the skill.”
Muhammad Ali, World Heavyweight champion

As I see it . . . . . . .

The will has to be strong

The will to win has to be stronger the persons skills.

When it comes down to crunch time the skills of the champion has gotten them to the point and into the positive to where they can win.

In crunch time what separates the champion is their heart; they have the will to win. A champion reaches down a little deeper when they are totally exhausted and pushes through the exhaustion stays in the game and keep pushing forward.

The thin slice the separates a champion is in the size of their heart and in their will to win.

When you watch a champion in action you can see it in their eyes they are totally focused on the outcome and they have the confidence and the will win

The will has to be strong and the champion has the will to scale the heights of success and achievement.

Talent is Like Electricity

Motivational Power Quote

Talent is Like Electricity
“Electricity makes no judgment.
You can plug into it and light up a lamp,
keep a heart pump going, light a cathedral,
or you can electrocute a person with it.
Electricity will do all that. It makes no judgment.
I think talent is like that.
I believe every person is born with talent.”
 Maya Angelou, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Talent is like electricity

Every person is born with talent.

Like electricity your talent is always there some people realize that and make the most of their talent while other seen to be looking for the switch to turn it on.

To maximize the use of your talent you have to direct your talent in the right direction and plug your goals into it to keep them energized.

Having talent and not directing it is like leaving the lights on when no one is in the room. The meter is spinning, the electricity is going to be wasted and no one benefits.

Talent is like electricity have to turn it on, have a purpose and when you make the best use of it with a purpose you will experience a big benefit.

Successful Time Management

Motivational Power Quote

Successful Time Management
“The key to successful time management is doing the
most important task first,
and giving it your full concentration,
to the exclusion of everything else.”
R.   Alec  MacKenzie, time management expect

As I see it . . . . . . .

Successful time management

Successful time management is the art of knowing what to do, how to do it, when to do it and why to do it.

Two additional key components successful time management are; knowing what’s not important and what should be either be not done or to be left undone. This area can become one of the biggest time wasters; that leads to very little progress and contributes very little to our future success.

One of the most important components of successful time management is to understand the things that are important and to focus on doing what’s important.

When we focus on the things that are most important we are focusing our time on the things that will have a positive impact and get us closer to our goals.

Doing what’s important makes the best use of our time and has the greatest impact on our career.

Successful time management is understanding what’s most important and focusing our activities in those areas.

The Attitude of Self-Examination

Motivational Power Quote

The Attitude of Self-Examination
“In all the work we do, our most valuable asset can be
the attitude of self-examination.
It is forgivable to make mistakes, but to stand fast behind
a wall of self-righteousness and make the same mistake twice,
is not forgivable.”
Dr. Dale E. Turner, author, minister

As I see it . . . . . . .

The attitude of self-examination

Self-examination is the art of accessing our self and the things around us.

It’s not beating ourselves up and it’s not letting things slide by. It’s a honest assessment as to the things as they are.

The attitude of self-examination is a valuable personal and business resource and at any time you can review you forward progress and make the adjustment that are needed to keep you on track.

Appreciate What You Have

Motivational Power Quote

Appreciate What You Have
“What if you gave someone a gift,
and they neglected to thank you for it-
would you be likely to give them another?
Life is the same way.
In order to attract more of the
blessings that life has to offer,
you must truly appreciate
what you already have.”
 Ralph Marston, writer

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Appreciate what you have

A principal of the law of attraction is when we show appreciation and are grateful for what we have we will continue to attract abundance into our lives.

Commitment to Excellence

Motivational Power Quote

“Just make up your mind at the outset that your work
is going to stand for quality…that you are going to stamp
a superior quality upon everything that goes out of your hand,
that whatever you do shall bear the hallmark of excellence”

Take the Time to Watch a Cloud Float Across The Sky

Motivational Power Quote

Take the Time to Watch a Cloud Float Across The Sky
“Rent is not idleness, and to be sometimes in the grass of a
summer day listening to the mummer of the water or
watching the clouds float across the sky
is hardy a waste of time .”
Sir John Lubbock 1834 -1913 English Banker and Politician

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky

We live in an hectic world where we are jugging our personal lives with our business. We seem to run out of time and the pressure to get things done is always there.

We try to live our life by a schedule and things are always popping to throw us off schedule and it always seems to go from emergency to another.

Our days start at the break of day with our e-mail and confirming our daily schedule and activities. We miss lunch and get some fast food.

We get home late from work and were back on the computer and when we look that the clock it’s midnight.

Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky. Spend some quality time with the people that you care about. Go to lunch with a friend. Make the time to do some of things that you enjoy doing.

If you miss the cloud floating across the sky you’re missing the best part of your life. Take the time to watch a cloud float across the sky and your life will never be the same.

Talking is Not Knowing

Motivational Power Quote

Talking is Not Knowing
“People who know little are usually great takers,
while men who know much say little.”
Jean Jacques Rousseau 1712 – 1778, writer, composer and French expressionless

As I see it . . . . . . .

Talking is not knowing

People with knowledge have confidence in themselves and in their knowledge.

They have learned much over the years by listening and observing, they also understand that when they are talking they are not learning.

When you engage a person with a depth of knowledge we learn more from them by listening and asking them questions, then we do by talking.

The person doesn’t have to speak to have authority or to impact a discussion. They also understand less is more and they will speak at the appropriate time and speak directly to the point.

Talking is not knowing, and in many cases the person is attempting to talk their way around the fact that lack the knowledge.

Bring The Best of Who You Are to The Surface

Motivational Power Quote

Bring The Best of Who You Are to The Surface
“I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling
that’s as unique as a fingerprint - - and that the best way to succeed
is to discover what you love and find a way to offer it to others
in the form of service, working hard, and also allowing.”
 Oprah Winfrey, Talk Show Host

As I see it . . . . . . .

Bring the best of who you are to the surface

We are all blessed with a special talent or calling in some cases we can bring it to the surface with ease. But in many cases our talent comes to the surface with hard work, dedication and determination.

Many people have their calling locked inside them but they’re not listening to their inner voice. Listen to your heart and you will hear your voice guiding you to lock your calling.

Your best is in you, for some people it surfaces at an early age and for other it won’t surface until they have had years of life experience to guide them.

You’re never too young or too old to bring the best of who you are to the surface.

Nurture Your Ideas

Motivational Power Quote

Nurture Your Ideas
“One of the most amazing things about business (and life)
is the power of one idea.
And one of your great challenges as leader is to
understand how to find and nurture them.”
Mac Anderson, Founder of Simple Truth and Successiories

As I see it . . . . . . .

Nurture your ideas

An idea that’s nurtured will bear fruit

Ideas like the Frisbee, Silly Putty and the Pet Rocks where in there day were off the wall idea’s that made their creators multiple millionaires

One idea can light the world, create flight, create a breakthrough,  make a person rich and can create Post-A Note..

It’s not the size of the idea that makes it valuable it’s the size of the persons heart with the idea and their persistence that bring value to the idea.

An idea to market our business more effectively, to prospect for greater results or finding a way to create more referrals would all have a positive impact on our businesses and bottom line.

An idea that never sees the light of day will soon pass; an idea that’s nurtured has the possibilities to have an impact.

Nurture your ideas and the best ones will come to the surface and bear the fruit of making differences.

Greatness in is the Eyes of the Customer

Motivational Power Quote

Greatness in is the Eyes of the Customer
“Everyone has the power of greatness.
Not for fame, but greatness.
Because greatness is determined by service”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1929 -1968, civil rights leader, clergyman,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Greatness is in the eyes of the customer

How our customers judge us becomes the foundation for our business and future success.

The single biggest differentiator in our customer’s eyes is the quality of our service.

Average customers service will put us out of business. Customers will no longer accept average as an acceptable standard. When a customer sees our service as average they will disappear as quickly as snow melts in Florida in July.

Good customer service is viewed by our customers as just enough to get by. Some customers will stay with good customer service for awhile but as soon as something better comes along they are gone.

Exceptional customer service has become the standard for what customers are looking for. Exceed your customers expectations and they will view your customer service as exceptional. Miss their expectations and they will look at your service as average.

Greatness is in the eyes of the customer and they will judge us on the level of the customer service that we delivery to them and if we meet or exceed their expectations.

Blaming Will Not Change The Conditions

Motivational Power Quote

Blaming Will Not Change The Conditions
“All blame is a waste of time.
No matter how much fault you find with another,
and regardless of how much you blame him,
it will not change you”
Dr. Wayne Dyer, Author, Professional Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Blaming will not change the conditions

When something goes wrong . . . . we have to get down to the reason that the things got off track. Once we find it our job is to get things back on track.

Blaming won’t correct the conditions accountable will lead you to the reason for the conditions. Based on your finding you will have to determine the corrective measures that will be required to correct the conditions and keep it from reoccurring in the future.

When we get involved in the blame game it takes you down the wrong path, drains your energy and wastes a lot of time. Blaming can become very distracting and costly it will also take your eyes off of the solutions.

Blaming will not change the conditions proactively addressing the conditions will.
