Motivational Power Quote

Take the Personal Responsibility For Change
“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the season, or the wind, But you can change yourself.
That is something you have charge of.”
Jim Rohn, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take the personal responsibility for change

We can sit and wait for change to happen or we can get in front of change and take personal responsibility for the change that we want to see.

There are many things that we can’t change, but we can change the way we respond to the circumstances that come into our lives.

By taking control of the changes that come into our lives we take control of our life and of our future.

There will be time that we will have to change to grow. There may have to change our attitude, the way we think or the way we respond to change.

When we change we start to look at things differently and we change the way we respond to things in our life.

Take the personal responsibility for change and you will bring positive change into your life.

Competitive Business Advantage

Motivational Power Quote

Competitive Business Advantage
“An organization’s ability to learn, and translate that learning
into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive business advantage.”
Jack Welch, Former General Electric CEO

As I see it . . . . . . .

Competitive business advantage

There is a thin slice of differences in successful business and the business that fall behind the business curve and that difference is their competitive advantage.

The competitive business advantage relates to a business selling their product and services as well as to a sales professional selling their expertise and services.

For a business or professional to maintain their competitive business advantage they have to stay in a state of perpetual learning and growing their knowledge base in their field of endeavor.

The business environment can change quickly and to remain ahead of the business curve we have to have the knowledge and be able to implement it rapidly to remain relevant in the market place.

A competitive business advantage is a mindset of being out in front, without that advantage a business becomes part of the pack. It’s a choice and a business strategy on the way that you will operate your business and the thin slice that separates a successful from a failing business model.

Life is a Series of Patterns

Motivational Power Quote

Life is a Series of Patterns
“Your self-image is your pattern!
Every thought has an activity visualized.
Every activity belongs to a pattern you identify with
your patterns of thoughts.
Your patterns leads your life.”
J.G. Gallimore, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Life is a series of patterns

Our patterns become our habits. Most of the things that we do everyday are formed in our subconscious mind and are repetitively done without giving them much thought.

In most cases we never think about our patterns and habits unless something triggers us to evaluate a behavior or a result that products a less then desirable results.

Our patterns can be relationship and career builders or they become obstacles to our success.

Look at your patterns that are contributing to your success and built off of them to keep you moving in the right direction.

Evaluate the patterns that are slowing your forward progress or holding you back. The moment that you can identify those patterns you have taken the first step to eliminating then.

The best way to eliminate an unproductive pattern is to replace that pattern with a new proactive pattern. Replacing the pattern will take about 30 days of effort to see a change in the pattern.

Life is a series of patterns some good and some not so good, replace the unproductive patterns and your days will become more productive.

Success Comes One Step at the Time

Motivational Power Quote

Success Comes One Step at the Time
“Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs.
Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger.
If you do the little jobs well, the big ones tend to take
care of themselves.”
Dale Carnegie 1988 - 1955, author, self-help expert

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success comes one step at a time

Many people would like to rush to success.

The pace of the success journey is established by each person and the pace will vary from person to person.

Success comes one step at the time and those steps come together in many difference forms.

One step at the time is a philosophy that success is built on. Small successes become the foundation for our future success. The stronger our foundation becomes the more weight it will be able to support.

When we try to rush to success we may very well be leaving out the building block of our foundation. Those blocks are needed to support our success journey through the storms that we encounter and if we weaken our foundation it is very likely to collapse under pressure.

Success comes one step at a time. Build your career on a strong foundation and that foundation will be there to support your in our personal growth and in the challenging times.

Communicate to be Understood

Motivational Power Quote

Communicate to be Understood
“To effectively communicate, we must realize that we
are all different in the way we perceive the world
and  use this understanding as a guide
to our own communications with others.”
Anthony Robbins, author, consultant, self-help expert,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Communicate to be understood

The most effective way to communicate with someone is to understand the person that we’re communicating with and to communicate with them from their perspective.

In the human dynamics when we fail to understand the person that we’re communicating with we fail to communicate successfully.

In the business world we have to look at communication from the point of view of the customer and adjust our style of communicates to fit the customers perceptions.  We can match and mirror the customers tone, pace and gestures to relax the customer.

Within the first couple of minutes of meeting the customer for the first time you will be able to judge the way the customers communicates when you mental slow yourself down and observe them and listen.

A key to successful relationships is to understand how the person communicates and to commutate with them at their comfort level.

Communicate to be understood and to understand your customers.

Choose Your Own Path
“There is a time when we must firmly choose the course we will follow,
or relentless drift of events will make the decision for us.”
Herbert Prochnow 1897 – 1998, U.S. Banking Executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

Choose your own path

There comes a time in our life that we have to make a choice. Do we follow the path of our choosing or do we follow the path that someone chooses for us?

When we pick our own path we have a vested interest in the journey and destination.

We also make our own decisions and have the responsibility for the outcome. The journey may not be an easy one but we make the decision for the course we travel. We set our course and make the adjustment along the way to reach out destination.

There another choice that we can make, that’s to let other people set the course for our life and to follow the path that they set for us.

One choice is to take control of your life and to give it direction the other is to drift through life.

Choose your own path and you will put yourself into the driver’s seat of your life.

Measuring Success

Motivational Power Quote

Measuring Success
“The real contest is always between what you’re done
and what you’re capable of doing.
You measure yourself against yourself and nobody else.”
Geoffrey Gaberino, Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Measuring success

The real measure of success is measuring your results against what you’re capable of achieving and doing.

It takes real courage to measure yourself against what you’re currently achieving and what you’re capable of doing. When you can make constant incremental improvement to what you’re doing today you become better then what you did yesterday.

Concern yourself about getting better not about what you competition is doing.

We are compensated for what we know and what we do with our knowledge and skills not for what the competition is doing.

When we compete with ourselves we have make a decision to get better them we was yesterday and to make each day a day of becoming better at what you’re doing

The best way to earn more is by getting better.

Measuring success is measuring ourselves against ourselves and getting a little bit better every day and as we improve we are putting down a strong foundation for our future success.

Don’t Just Sit There Do Something About it

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Just Sit There Do Something About it
“So what do we do? Anything. Something.
So long as we just don’t sit there.
If we screw it up, start over.
Try something else.
If we wait until we’ve satisfied all the uncertainties,
it may be too late.”
 Lee Iacocca, former Chrysler CEO

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Don’t just sit there do something about it

When something has to be done, don’t just sit there do something about it and you take control of the situation and your future.

Things won’t get done until you get started. By getting started you are taking the actions to remain in control of the situation and in finding the best solutions possible.

When you delay you surrender control of the situation and you allow other people to make decisions for you.

The best time to start is now.

Life is full of uncertainties and you can find many reasons to delay, but you only need one to start.

Just don’t sit there do something about it and you will find the personal power to make things happen.
