The Fifth Time was the Charm

Motivational Power Quote

The Fifth Time was the Charm
“I am willing to put myself through anything; temporary pain
or discomfort means nothing to me as long as I can see that
the experience will take me to a new level.”
Diana Nyad, American Swimmer

As I see it . . . . . . .

The fifth time was the charm

On Monday September 1, 2013 the fifth time became the charm for 64 year old Diana Nyad who made history.

She became the first person to successfully swim from Cuba to Key West, Florida without a shark cage. It took her a total 44 hours and a 112 miles journey to make the crossing averaging 2.2 miles per hour.

She make her first attempt at making the crossing unsuccessfully in 1978, went she was 22 years old.

Here’s the life lesson in Diana’s successfully journey to swim from Cuba to Key West Florida.

You’re never too old to achieve your goals . . . .

In reality it took Diana 45 years and 44 hours and a life time of training and preparation for her to reach her goal . . . .

It’s not how many times you try and continue try and miss the mark before you succeed . . . . It’s trying until you succeed. In her four previous attempts she did not achieve her objective . . . . The fifth time is the charm for Diana and she did it.

She endured the pain and discomfort to reach her goal . . . . In successfully reaching the shores of Key West when she did she washed away the memories of the years of pain and discomfort.

No goal is out of your reach . . . .

You can do anything you believe you can do . . . . when you pursue it with determination.

You can do the things in your life that you want to do . . . . when you prepare yourself to achieve them.

To achieve your goals you have to work through your obstacles, overcome your challenges . . . . and stay focused on your objectives.

The fifth time was the charm for Diana . .  . You will find out what your charm is when you try and try again until you achieve your objective.
