It’s What You Learn – After You Know What You Know

Motivational Power Quote

It’s What You Learn – After You Know What You Know
“It is the studying that you do after school days that really
counts. Otherwise, you know only that which everyone
else knows.”
Henry Doherty 1870 – 1939, American Businessman

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s what you learn – After you know what you know

It’s very common to reach point in your careers that you feel that you have it covered . . . . and have all the answers.

That point can be reached at any point in our career. For a person that’s relatively new in their field it can happen very quickly . . . . and become an anchor. That anchor can slow their professional development to a crawl. If adjustments are not made the person will struggle to keep their head above water . . . . and will eventually sink.

For a person that has been involved in business for a long period of time. . . .  it becomes the threshold of complicacy in the status quo. Without keeping pace with the continuous learning and professional development that’s required to stay reverent in their profession . . . . they slowly fall behind the curve of being competitive in their profession.

It’s what you learn – after you know what you know . . . . will give you a strategic business advantage and determine the direction and the pace of your career.

The Power to Choose

Motivational Power Quote

The Power to Choose
“Every human had four endowments – self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom . . . The power to choose, to respond, to change.”
Stephen R. Covey, Author, Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

The power to choose

Everyone has within themselves the power to choose.

We can choose to pursue our career with determination or we can choose to drift and do enough to get by.

We can choose to push our self to get a little better each day until our little better becomes a big difference.

We can choose to be who ever we want to be and we can achieve anything that we put our mind to has long as we’re committed to and are willing to work hard to accomplish it.

We can choose to get out of bed an hour earlier to enhance our professional development or we can roll over and sleep in for that hour.

We have the power to choose and do . . . . and in our choices we become who we are.

Get Energized About Your Career

Motivational Power Quote

Get Energized About Your Career
“I feel sorry for the person who can’t get
genuinely excited about his work.
Not only will he never be satisfied,
but he never achieve anything worthwhile.”
               Walter Chrysler, automaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Get energized about your career

Get energized, get animated and get excited about your career.

We communicate how we feel about our career through our attitude and in how we relate to the people that we meet and to our customers.

If we’re energized about our career people will feel that energy.

The Law of Probabilities

Motivational Power Quote

The Law of Probabilities
“I teach something called The Law of Probabilities,
which says the more things you try,
the more likely one of them will work.
The more books you read, the more likely one of
them will have the answers to a question that could
solve the major problems of your life . .
make you wealthier, solve a health problem,
whatever it might be.”
Jack Canfield, author, success coach

As I see it . . . . . . .

The law of probabilities

What we sow we will reap.

When we plant the seeds of success and nurture those seeds and the law probabilities is we will reap the benefits of what we have planted.

Conversely if we wait for just the right time to plant the seeds coupled with finding the time to plant the seeds. The chances increase that the seeds are never planted and when the time comes to harvest the fruits of our labor we will not anything to harvest.

Professional development increases the probabilities that we will acquire the skills to reach our goals.

When we abide by the Code of Ethics it increases the probabilities that we will be seen as a person of integrity.

The law of probabilities is what we sow we will reap.

The Power of the Printed Word

Motivational Power Quote

The Power of the Printed Word

it has the potential for stimulating wisdom.”

The printed word holds millenniums of knowledge at our finger tips. To benefit from that knowledge all we have to do is to open up a book and read it or go online and research the information.

Never in the history of the planet has so much information been available to us and at our finger tips.

The printer word can take us back into history were we can read about anything that we’re interested in.

If our interested in professional development the information at our finger tips is enormous.

Perfect Practice Makes You Better

Motivational Power Quote

Perfect Practice Makes You Better
“It’s not necessarily the amount
of time you spend at practice that count;
it’s what you put into the practice.”
Eric Lindros, professional hockey player

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Perfect practice makes you better

You get better when you practice when there no one is around to cheer you on and when you give it little extra when no one can see it.

You will get better when you turn off the radio and listen to an audio program for our professional development.

You get better when you pick up a book and read it to improve yourself and to make your business better.

Getting better doesn’t happen in the field of play it happens on the practice field when we commit ourselves to perfect practice to make yourself better.
