Solve the Problem on The Spot

Motivational Power Quote

Solve the Problem on The Spot
“Problems should be solved on the spot,
as son as they arise.
No frontline employee should have to wait for a
supervisor’s permission.”
Jan Carlzon, airline executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

Solve the problem on the spot

The longer a problem exists the more it becomes a condition that can grow and increase in its complexity. Unsolved problem seem to grow legs and take on a life of their own.

A problem that’s addressed and solved on the spot has the capacity to quickly resolve the issue with the less negative effects on those involved.

Solving problems on the spot becomes a win-win situation.

When the problem involves customers they don’t want to hear stories about it’s not your job, they want the problem solved on the spot. When the customer is right make it right. When the customer is wrong do your best for the customer and in the conditions that you find yourself in.

Delaying and then doing the right thing will leave the customer with a poor impression regarding the service and the integrity of the company and the person providing the service.

Make the commitment to solve the problem on the spot and you will find yourself having less problems, more effective use of your time more business and more referrals.

A Diamond in the Rough

Motivational Power Quote

A Diamond in the Rough
“A diamond is a chunk of coal
that made good under pressure.”
Anonymous

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A diamond in the rough

A diamond is a beautiful gem that’s starts out as a chunk of coal and in that form has very little value compared to a finish gem.

Under pressure and time the coal is transformed into a rough diamond. We are a lot like that piece of coal our character is formed under the pressures of life.

The person that we become is formed from how we respond to the pressures that we encounter on our success journey. We will become a diamond in the rough or remain a chunk of coal.

To create the unique value from a rough diamond it has to be cut and polished.

To create our unique value we have continually polished our skills and remind focused under pressure.

Much like a diamond our value increases as we withstand the pressures of life and polish our success skills to make the most of our life.

A diamond in the rough is the beginning of a precious gem.

What Separates Talented People From Successful People?

Motivational Power Quote

What Separates Talented People From Successful People?
“Talent is cheaper than table salt.
What separates the talented individual from the
successful is a lot of hard work”
Stephen King, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

What separates talented people from successful people?

Many times there is a thin slice that separates talented people from successful people.

Talented people know what to do and how to do it, but they may not have the motivation to act on their talent.

A successful person may not have all the tools of the talented person, but they have is the desire to succeed and the drive to work hard at becoming successful.

Good examples are athletes some seem to be born with talent and excelling at sports comes easy for then. They can practice a little less and still perform at a high level.

There are also athletes that are good at what they do. They’re not blessed with natural talent they have to put in long hours of hard work to get better.

What separates talented people from successful people?  Successful people have a strong desire to succeed, work hard at it and they push themselves to get to the front of the pack.

Successful Problem Solving

Motivational Power Quote

Successful Problem Solving
“The measure of success is not whether you have
a tough problem to deal with,
but whether it’s the same problem you had last year.”
John Foster Dulles, U.S. Secretary of State 1953 -1959

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success problem solving

It’s not a question if we’re going to have a problem because we all face problems.

The key to any problem is how we respond and handle it.

When we neglect to handle a problem it has the tendency to grow and multiply and very likely become out of control.

When a problem occurs it needs to be address and brought to the best solution that available to us.

The measure of successful problem solving is to get to the root cause of the problem to ensure that the problem does not occur again and to handle the problem one time and to come up with the most desirable solution and to move on.

Making a Decision

Motivational Power Quote

Making a Decision
“Making a decision usually means taking one of two roads.
one is doing the right thing.
To take the other road, you have to sit back and spin a story
around the decision or action you are taking.
If you find yourself thinking of an elaborate justification
for what you’re doing, you are not doing the right thing.”
Wayne Sales, Business Executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

Making a decision

There is always a choice in making a decision.

We can make the decision to do the right thing or we can make a decision to take the easy way out.

Making the decision to the right thing leaves footprint that lead back to us. Some people may not agree with us, but we know that we have done the right thing and our footprints will lead back to a reputation of integrity and being seem as a person of character.

Taking the easy way out in the decision making process can easily turn into a nightmare of regret.

When people find out that we shirted the issues to make an politically correct decision it will have a negative effect on professional image, our reputation and our standing in the business community.

We always have a choice in making a decision and we will carry those decisions with us into the future.

Are You Ready?

Motivational Power Quote
Are You Ready?
“Talent alone won’t make you a success.
Neither will being in the right place at the right time,
unless you are ready.
The most important question is are you ready?”
Johnny Carson, American entertainer

As I see it . . . . . . .
Are you ready?

You are working your way through your day and in a flash an opportunity presents itself to you. Are you ready to grasp the opportunity?

Talent will create opportunities, but it’s your preparation that allows to you to successfully act on the opportunity.

When you hear about a person who was at the right place at the right time, you will find that person was prepared and ready to grasp the opportunity. What they are really talking about is someone who has prepared themselves to find the opportunity and to act on it when they find it.

Prepare yourself to be ready . . . . for some opportunities are a once in a lifetime moment.

Be ready to open the doors of opportunity and you will find the doors to open.

When someone asks you are you ready, the answer is yes I am.

Success Comes With a Price

Motivational Power Quote

Success Comes With a Price
“Decide what you want, decide what you are willing to exchange for it.
Establish your priorities and go to work.”
H. L. Hunt, American entrepreneur

As I see it . . . . . . .

Success comes with a price

Our success journey resembles a toll road and our success has a price.

The question become what are we willing to pay in advance to achieve the desired outcome of success.

We will pay for our success with our time. We will have to commit the time required to reach the next level of success. We will have to manage our activities effectively to continue to move forward and to remain on course.

We will have to invest in our professional development to stay on the leading edge of our profession with our skills and techniques.

We will have to maintain the attitude of a winner through the up and downs of our business cycles. Success is earned by those who are committed to the long hurl.

The people and the businesses that achieve success are focused on their customers and deliver a high level of customer service.

The price of success is doing what has to be done on a continuous level.

Success comes with a price that’s paid in advance.
