Opportunities and Challenges

Opportunities and Challenges
“Opportunities come and go . . . . challenges are temporary
conditions. Success is achieved by those who prepare
themselves to take advantage of the opportunities
that are found in their challenges.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .

Opportunities and challenges

I believe our life is a series of both opportunities and challenges. The future belongs to the person that sees what others don’t see . . . . and puts themselves into the position to take advantage of the opportunities.

Success is not a matter of luck . . . . Success is achieved by the person who has prepared themselves for success. Then when the opportunity is there they seize the moment and opportunity.

Be ready . . . . to maximize that opportunity.

Seize the day! Take responsibility for your future . . . . and continually seek out new opportunities.

The day is yours when . . . . you seize the day . . . . and the opportunities that your day holds.

Many time the difference between opportunities and challenges . . . . are in the way you look at them . . . . and the in the actions you take.

The Mindset of a Champion

The Mindset of a Champion
“You can knock me down, but I refuse to stay down.
You can put barriers in front of me and I will
find a way to successfully get through
them to achieve my goals.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
The mindset of a Champion

Went to speak to a champion . . . . you will that the champion believes in themselves . . . . They believe that they will succeed . . . . and achieve their goals.

They do will act will a sense of certainty . . . . and remained  focused on their desired outcome.

They step into the arena of their profession prepared to succeed deeply embedded into their mindset.

Many times we encounter situations where we feel that all is lost . . . . and it would be easier not to get up or to try again.

A champion picks themselves up . . . . and achieves their success in the extra effort by focusing forward and continues to try until they succeed.

Don’t quit . . . .  don’t give up . . . . give it your best . . . .and keep trying until you achieve your desired outcome.

The mindset of a champion . . . . is on purpose.

The Truth Remains the Truth

The Truth Remains the Truth
“Fact’s have a cruel way of substituting, themselves for fancies.
There is nothing more remorseless, just as there is nothing
more helpful, than truth.”
William C. Redfield 1858 – 1932, Democratic Politician
from New York

As I see it . . . . . . .

The truth remains the truth

We have just gone through a very long and painful listening experience with a potential home seller.

Let me explain . . . .

With one of the companies that I’m providing consulting services for.  I recently went on the listing appointment with a new and emerging real estate professional with the company.

The sales professional was well prepared for the listing appointment and prepared an outstanding CMA for the home sellers.

The listing presentation was going smoothly has the real estate sales professional did an outstanding job in her presentation. She explained the benefits of listing with her and company and her marketing strategies to sell the home.

She was building a bond of rapport and trust with the home sellers and it showed in the commutations between the sales professional and the home sellers.

That all changed in a split second . . . . when it came around to pricing.

When the CMA was presented the veins in the neck of one of the sellers was so big they looked like they would explode and both sellers unloaded on the professional.

The home sellers told the sales professional the selling price was far too low. That she was pricing the home to sell fast to get a commission and had no interest in their needs.

The sales professional stayed very composed in very challenges conditions and listen to the home sellers . . . . and made notes on what the sellers where saying.

Once the sellers began to settle down . . . . she ask them if she could ask them a question? They replayed yes.

The sales professional asked . . . . what they felt the price should be? And they told her the price they had in mind. Then she asked them where they got the information about the price and they told off the internet and a couple of neighbors who have recently sold their home.

The profession then asked . . . . are there be questions other then the pricing that prevent them from listing the home her today? They said no.

She told out her i-pad and invested the next hour and half reviewing the MLS and the prices of the homes sold and the homes on the market.

After a long three hour listing appointment sales professional left with a saleable listing that sold in three weeks.

Here’s the key . . . . she was prepared . . . . she stayed professional . . . . she controlled her emotions . . . . she was patient . . . .  she listened . . . . she asked questions . . . .  and did not overreact.

The truth remains the truth about price . . . . but it’s the professional that can explain it properly that makes the difference.

Look Back for the Lessons

Look Back for the Lessons
“The first peak is the best place to pause and look back, to see
if you took the easiest route, to learn the lessons from the first
climb. And it is the best place to examine the terrain ahead, to
change your plans and goals, to take a deep breath
and begin climbing again.”
Michael Johnson, Retired American Sprinter, Won 4 Olympic
Gold Medals, Eight World championship Gold Medals

As I see it . . . . . . .

Look back for the lessons

The lessons learned from the past once learned . . . . become a valuable resource on your success journey.

They will make your success journey going forward more efficient . . . . making far better use of your time and resources to achieve your objectives.

Look back for the lessons . . . . and use those lessons to move you forward better prepared to handle the vigor’s of your success journey and to keep you on purpose.

The Step of Having Faith

Motivational Power Quote

 The Step of Having Faith
“When you get to the end of all the light you know and it’s time to
step into the darkness. of the unknown, faith is knowing that
one of two things shall happen; either you will be given
something solid to stand on, or you will be
taught how to fly”
Edward Teller 1908 – 2003, Hungarian-Born American
Theoretical Physicist

As I see it . . . . . . .

The step of having faith

There will be a time in your life that you will have to take a step into the darkness of the unknown . . . . Where the only thing you have to move you forward is your faith.

When you have a strong self-image . . . . you will have faith in yourself and in your ability.

When you have prepared yourself . . . . you will step forward with confidence.

When you step into the darkness . . . . look for the switch and turn on the lights.

Having faith . . . . is knowing yourself and having the belief that you can stretch yourself forward successfully.

The step of having faith . . . . is taking the first step forward with the conviction that you will succeed.

Life Can be an Obstacle Course

Motivational Power Quote

Life Can be an Obstacle Course
“When you dare to dream, dare to follow that dream; dare to
suffer through the pain, sacrifice, self-doubts and friction
from the world.”
Laura Schlessinger, Talk-Show Host

As I see it . . . . . . .

Life can be an obstacle course

Your dreams become within your reach . . . . with massive effort.

Through may experience of working with thousands of business professionals throughout the country there seems to very interesting ongoing conversation regarding having dreams and setting goals.

Over the last twenty years we have been living a society of entitlement.

Let me explain . . . .

In many youth sporting events they no longer keep score . . . . the concept is there is no winner and there are no losers.

The players have no sense of achievement for their efforts and it kills the competitive nature of the game and in the kids. They grow up without having to strive to get better. Because when the season is over everyone gets a trophy for showing up and not for excelling.

In schools they hold back the gifted students . . . . so the other students can catch up.
Classes should be based on getting the most out of every student in the class based on their ability. Some students will go to college and some won’t. But every student deserves the opportunity for an education . . . . and its up to them to make the most out of their educational opportunities.

The key is to prepare the students to be able to navigate the obstacle course of life . . . . Also the schools have to prepare them to go to college or into the work force.

The key is they have to be prepared . . . .

To be able to live your dreams . . . . your going to have navigate the obstacle course of your life and take the personal responsible for your life’s journey.

You also have to be willing to pay the tolls . . . . to reach your destination.

Life can be an obstacle course . . . . your dreams are within your reach when you make the commitment to achieve  them and make a massive effort to live your dream.

Your Finest Hour

Motivational Power Quote

Your Finest Hour
“There comes a special moment in everyone’s life; a moment
for which that person was born. That special opportunity,
when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission –a- mission for which
he is uniquely qualified. In that moment, he finds greatness.
It is his finest hour.”
Sir Winston Churchill 1874 - 1965, Former British Prime Minister

As I see it . . . . . . .

Your finest hour

Your where born to be a special person . . . . You have unique skills and attribute’s that only you can release.

Your uniqueness is lock within you . . . . There’s locked away in your thinking, your attitude and your desire to bring them to the surface and to use them.

You have to nurture them and refine them to a razor sharp edge to get the most out of them.

When an opportunity comes your way . . . . you first would have to prepared yourself to see the opportunity.  You also have to be prepared to maximize your opportunity.

Most opportunities are missed as a result of the person not preparing themselves to seize the moment or the opportunity.

Your finest hour . . . . Will be a time in your life where your preparation comes to a crossroad with an opportunity . . . . Where you have put yourself into a position to see the opportunity and to seize the moment using your skills and attribute’s to create a pathway to a successful outcome.

Does Opportunity Knock?

Motivational Power Quote

Does Opportunity Knock?
“What is opportunity, and does it knock? It never knocks. You can
wait a whole lifetime, listening, hoping, and you will hear no
knocking. None at all. You are opportunity, and you must knock
on the door leading to your destiny. You prepare yourself to
recognize opportunity, to pursue and seize opportunity as you
develop the strength of your personality, and build a self-image
with which you are able to live – with self-respect
alive and growing.”
Maxwell Maltz 1899 – 1975, author, plastic surgeon,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Does opportunity knock?

Opportunity is discovered by the person that has prepared themselves to succeed and has an open mind to see the possibilities.

The person that’s waiting for opportunity to knock should be well prepared to wait a life time . . . .

The person that prepares themselves . . . . will see the opportunities through the eyes of their preparation and attitude. They say that things don’t come easy . . . . but for those who are prepared seem to discover the opportunities that others never see.

Preparation puts you in a power position to maximize your opportunities and to bring them to a successful outcome.

Does opportunity knock? Opportunities exist to those that actively seek them out and are prepared when they discover them.

for without discipline you wouldn’t know what to do with luck.”

Are You Ready?

Motivational Power Quote
Are You Ready?
“Talent alone won’t make you a success.
Neither will being in the right place at the right time,
unless you are ready.
The most important question is are you ready?”
Johnny Carson, American entertainer

As I see it . . . . . . .
Are you ready?

You are working your way through your day and in a flash an opportunity presents itself to you. Are you ready to grasp the opportunity?

Talent will create opportunities, but it’s your preparation that allows to you to successfully act on the opportunity.

When you hear about a person who was at the right place at the right time, you will find that person was prepared and ready to grasp the opportunity. What they are really talking about is someone who has prepared themselves to find the opportunity and to act on it when they find it.

Are You Prepared to Give it Your All?

Motivational Power Quote

Are You Prepared to Give it Your All?
“Few men during their lifetime anywhere
near exhausting the resources dwelling within them.
there’re deep well’s of strength that are never used.”
Richard Byrd, explorer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Are you prepared to give it your all?

When you’re willing to give it your all you open the door to amazing accomplishments.

Success is found when you’re willing to push yourself and in going the extra mile to achieve the desired result.

Sliding by and doing the easy will not create lasting success or sustain a career at a successful level.

To achieve your goals are you prepared to give it your all? Will you stretch your limits and will you move out of your comfort zone?

Success is not found in the status quo, it’s found when you reach into your inner strength and give it your all.

When you’re driven you will find the inner strength to what you will have to do to achieve your goals. Your inner strength will be re-nourished with your inner drive.

Are you prepared to give it your all and to take your career and life to the next level?

The Mindset of a Champion

Motivational Power Quote

The Mindset of a Champion
“I’m willing to put myself through anything;
temporary pain or discomfort nothing means anything to me
as long as I can see that the experience will
take me to a new level.”
Diana Nyad, swimmer

As I see it . . . . . . .

The mindset of a champion

A champion can visualize the event that they will participate in their thoughts with clarity.

They will play and replay the event over and over in the thoughts until the event become real in there thinking. They see themselves performing in the event in fine detail. Their heart rate will increase; their muscles will be tense as a result of the mental image in their mind.

A mindset of a champion is to prepare themselves both mentally and physically to compete in the event at the highest possible level and to win.

A champion has mentally prepared themselves to be in a mental state to win and go into the event with confidence in their abilities to succeed.

A champion athlete trains hard to complete. In order to be completive they have push themselves hard and are willing to work through the pain of training and the pressure of the event.

The mindset of a champion understand that success has cost, the cost pushing yourself to stay at the top of your profession and determination to push through the challenges that you encounter.

Go The Distance

Motivational Power Quote

Go The Distance
“The real winners are not those at the top
but those who have come the
farthest over the toughest roads.
Your victory may never make headlines.
But you will know about it,
and that’s what counts.”
Ernest A. Fitzgerald

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Go the distance

The winners in life go the distance.

When winners hit a roadblock they adjust, reset their course and go the distance to achieve their goals. Winners understand that reaching their goals takes a commitment and they stay on course to achieve their desired outcome.

The winners circle is over the horizon and we have to be prepared to make the journey and go the distance.

The winners in life go the distance and into the winners circle of life.
