Motivational Power Quote
Know When to Pull and When to Push
“A man will be imprisoned in a room with
a door that’s unlocked
and opens inwards; as long as it does
not occur to
him pull rather than push."
Ludwig Wittgenstein 1919 -1990, Austrian
– British philosopher
As I see it . . . . . . .
Know when to pull and when to push
We have to know when we have to push
ourselves to take the next step, to take on a new assignment, to get additional
education or to reach greater level of success.
Customers love to buy but they don’t
like to be sold or pushed. A customer that’s pushed will reach a point in the
business relationship where they become uncomfortable. They will either mental withdraw
from the relationship or stop returning our calls and end the communications. But in either case it creates a push back by
the customers and the business opportunity is lost.
The soft approach to a business
relationship is to reach out to your customers lend them a helping hand and
pull them forward, mentor them and guide them through the business
relationship.
By using a soft approach we are pulling
our customer forward in a series of step some will be small and others will
turn out to be a giant step forward.
By pulling our customers forward the
relationship will evolve into one of rapport and mutual trust which will become
the bedrock of a successful business relationship.
Know when to pull and when to push and
you will put yourself in the position to help your customers and to achieve
your goals and to reach yours.
