Motivational Power Quote
It’s What You Learn – After You Know
What You Know
“It is the studying that you do after
school days that really
counts. Otherwise, you know only that
which everyone
else knows.”
Henry Doherty 1870 – 1939, American
Businessman
As I see it . . . . . . .
It’s what you learn – After you know
what you know
It’s very common to reach point in your
careers that you feel that you have it covered . . . . and have all the
answers.
That point can be reached at any point
in our career. For a person that’s relatively new in their field it can happen
very quickly . . . . and become an anchor. That anchor can slow their
professional development to a crawl. If adjustments are not made the person
will struggle to keep their head above water . . . . and will eventually
sink.
For a person that has been involved in
business for a long period of time. . . .
it becomes the threshold of complicacy in the status quo. Without keeping
pace with the continuous learning and professional development that’s required to
stay reverent in their profession . . . . they slowly fall behind the curve of
being competitive in their profession.
It’s what you learn – after you know
what you know . . . . will give you a strategic business advantage and determine
the direction and the pace of your career.
