As I see it . . . . . . .
Keep asking
There is something to be said about
persistence in asking . . . . when you want something you may have to ask for
it multiple times to get it.
Most people will ask for something one
time . . . . if the answer is no they
will normally give up and not ask for it again.
Big Mistake . . . .
With sales as an example you may have to
ask for the order 4 to 6 times to hear a yes . . . . if you don’t continue to
continue to ask you have the decision at the first no.
With persistence and in asking good
questions . . . . you give the person the choice to say yes and it will very
likely take multiple opportunities to get to yes.
Here’s a key . . . . the first few no’s
are just a reflective response for most people. In many cases they are
preoccupied or just trying to blow you off without thinking about what your
offering.
Keep digging and you will find out the
person’s real motivation . . . . and keep asking. The person with the most
persistence will make the sale.
