Be Like Water Moving Down Stream

Be Like Water Moving Down Stream
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive,
but to the object, and you shall find a way around or
through it. If nothing within you stays rigid,
 outward things will disclose themselves.”
Bruce Lee 1940 -1973, American- Hong Kong Action Film
Actor, martial Artist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Be like water moving down stream

As water is moves down stream; it will encounter many obstacles on its way moving down stream.

Water will face fallen trees and debris that will create barrier to the water moving down stream . . . . There will be the natural obstacles of rocks and boulders blocking the water’s movement.

In the water movement down steam the water adjusts its flow . . . .  and as a result it finds a way to go around . . . .  over . . . . or through the barriers.

Your life’s journey resembles the flow of the water moving down steam.

There will be times that you will have to adjust to keep you forward momentum. Other times you will have to adapt to the conditions to make forward progress.

Be like water moving down stream . . . . and in time your  persistence will break down the barriers and allows you to continue to flow down stream past the obstacles and to achieve your goals.

Break Free of the Old Ways

Break Free of the Old Ways
“Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way,
ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer
of the future.”
Depak Chopra, Indian-American Physician, Holistic
Heath/New Age Guru

As I see it . . . . . . .

Break free of the old ways

One of the biggest traps a business professional can fall into . . . . is getting trapped into doing it the same old way . . . . Because that’s the way you have always done it.

Doing it the same old way is living in the world of the status quo . . . . and living in the past. In that world you are being left behind by an ever changing business environment . . . . The longer you resist change and fail to adapt the further you fall behind the business curve and increase the odds of a business failure.

When you live in the world of the past you become a prisoner . . . . out of date thinking and obsolete methods that will no longer support you on your success journey.

Break free of the old ways . . . . and become a pioneer of your future.

Let Change Be With You
“The entrepreneur always searches for change, responds to it,
and exploits it as an opportunity.”
Peter Drucker 1909 – 2005, Austrian-Born American
Management Consultant, Educator, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Let change be with you

Nothing remains the same . . . . and it can be said that we live our life in a constant state of change.

Rigid thinking becomes unbending to change . . . . and resists it at every turn. Fighting change will exhaust a person’s energy and misdirect it from productive activity into fighting a losing battle. Also fighting change will stress a person out without any redeeming benefits.

Let change be with you . . . . is the way you look at change.

Rather than resisting the change look at it from a big picture prospective . . . . Ask yourself what are the benefits that the change offers . . . . and what are the opportunities within the change.

Respond to change with a positive outlook and you will see the benefits . . . . the opportunities . . . . and the best way to adapt and make the most out of  the change.

Let the change be with you . . . . and you will find a way to turn it into a strategic business advantage.

The Opportunity to Live an Extraordinary Life

The Opportunity to Live an Extraordinary Life

change the seasons, but you can change yourself.
Therein lies the opportunity to live an
extraordinary life - - the opportunity to change yourself.”
Jim Rohn 1930 – 2009, American Entrepreneur,
Author and Motivational Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

The opportunity to live an extraordinary life

You may not be able to change season of the market conditions . . . . but you can adjust your thinking to make the most out of the current market conditions.

The opportunity to live an extraordinary life . . . . is being able to adjust . . . . adapt . . . . and make the most out of the conditions that you find yourself in.

Your success journey is not an expressway to your goals . . . . It’s a toll road where you pay the tolls in advance of enjoying the benefits of your successes. It also a road that’s under construction. It’s a road to where you will have to make adjustments to successfully navigate your success journey . . . . and remain focused on your long term objectives.

A Breakdown is the Beginning of a Breakthrough

Motivational Power Quote

A Breakdown is the Beginning of a Breakthrough
“Sometimes a break down can be the beginning of a kind of breakthrough,
a way of living in advance through a traumatic
this prepares you for a future of radical transformation .”
Cherrie Moraga, Writer, Activist, Poet, Essayist, Playwrite

As I see it . . . . . . .

A breakdown is the beginning of breakthrough

Every business and business model has a cycle . . . .

There is a cycle where it begins as an idea . . . .  and develops into a working model. Over the life of the business model it goes through series of adjustments and adapts to the changes.

Then at some point the business becomes old and outdated  . . . . and there is a breakdown in the business model.

One of two things will happen . . . .One business will ride the business model into obscurity. The business will become uncompetitive and fade away from the business landscape.

Another business will at the point of a breakdown of the business model . . . . and a beginning of a new business cycle. They will adjust their business model to remain competitive and leave the baggage of the old business model behind them.

A breakdown is the beginning of a breakthrough . . . . when it’s approached with an open mind and an attitude of possibilities.

Take Charge of Your Circumstances

Motivational Power Quote

Take Charge of Your Circumstances
“We can let circumstances rule us,
or we can take charge and rule our lives from within.”
Earl Nightingale, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Take charge of your circumstances

We seem to be living our lives with continuous changing circumstances and just as you seem to have one under control a new circumstance pops into our life.

Nothing is forever and everything is subject to change.

The person that can master their circumstances and puts them into prospective will master their future.

In order to master our circumstances we have to look at them with an open mind and to look at the circumstances from a prospective of how we can maximize the circumstances into positive conditions.

Approach your circumstances, and look for the best course of action and make a decision to change them, to adapt, to adjust or to eliminate the circumstances.

To take change of your circumstances it will take flexibility in your thinking and an attitude of possibilities. Each circumstance can offer unique opportunities and challenges your approach to the circumstance will be the key to unlocking its potential.

The Difference Between School and life

Motivational Power Quote

The Difference Between School and Life
“The difference between school and life?
In school, you’re taught a lesson
and then, given the test.
In life you’re given a test
that teaches you a lesson.”
Tom Bodett, author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The difference between school and life

In school we are given the lessons in a control environment and review the material until the teacher feels we know the material well enough to take the test.

In some cases we get an opportunity to do a do over and retake the test when the results do not turn out well.

And when everything is said and done we get a grade for the test.

In life we are tested everyday. In many cases we don’t get an opportunity to do a do over, we have to live with the results. And as a consequence we get the tests and we get to live with the results and the life lesson.

The difference between school and life is we have to live with our life lessons. To change the results we have to adapt and adjust our skills to meet the challenges of the day.

When we change the experience we change the results.
