The Habit of Doing a Little More

Motivational Power Quote

The Habit of Doing a Little More
“Do something every day that you don’t want to do;
this is the golden rule for acquiring the habit of
doing your duty without pain.”
John 17:4

As I see it . . . . . . .
The habit of doing a little more
Our lives are shaped by our habits.

Over our lifetime we form many habits, our positive habits becomes the foundation that we build our careers on. They support the weight of our success journey. We come to rely on them in our decision making and in our actions.

We really don’t give our habits much thought they seem to a response mechanism.
The habit of doing a little more than required is law of subtle accumulation.

Each day as we do a little more it may not initially seem to have much impact but after a week you would have achieved a minimum of 7 more little achievements then would have done. After a month it would completed to over 30 more little things. In a year you would have achieved over 365 little accomplishments.
The law of subtle accumulation is working for you.

The single habit of doing a little more each day will accumulate and make a massive difference in the pace and a direction of your career.

No Fluff

Motivational Power Quote

No Fluff
“It is time to get back to basics: to self-discipline
and respect for the law, to consideration for others,
to accepting reasonability for yourself and your family,
and not shuffling it off to the state.”
John Major, Former British Prime Minister

As I see it . . . . . . .

No fluff

Clear the fluff out of our life and get back to the basics.

Forget about the hoopla and let your values be your guide and show you the way.

Get away from the people that want to take you down the wrong path of short cuts of compromising your values for a short term gain.

Consumers don’t want the fluff they want value and a professional that they can trust in.

The basics are in the way we present ourselves to the consumers and in keeping our word and delivering what we promise not in the fluff.

Take personal reasonability for your actions, your career and your results and you will take command of your future.

When there is no fluff you take control of your success journey, you control that pace, you take control of your future and the road you travel.

The person that performs at a high level has prepared themselves to achieve a level of excellence in their life.

No matter what the field of endeavor is, it takes commitment and hard work to stand above the crowd and to perform at an outstanding level.

Three Kinds of People

Motivational Power Quote

Three Kinds of People
“There are three kinds of people in the world,
the wills, the won’t and the can’t.
The first accomplish everything;
the second the oppose of everything:
The third fail in everything.”
Eclectic Magazine

As I see it . . . . . . .

Three kinds of people

Each person chooses the direction that their life will take and who they become.

The wills in life are the doer and they will achieve far more them the people in the other two groups will accomplish with their combined efforts.

A doer looks at obstacles as mere speed bumps on their success journey that may temporary slow them down. They will not take their eyes off the prize or allow the obstacles to stop their journey they will remain focused on the big picture and their goals.

When a doer gets knocked down and may get bruised but they get up dust them self off and continue their forward progress.

The doers in life find more doors to open and opportunities. They will stretch their limits to greater heights and accomplishments.

There are three kinds of people and the best part is we get to choose which group we want to be part of.

Make It Happen or It Happens to You

Motivational Power Quote

Make It Happen or It Happens to You
“It had long come to my attention that people
of accomplishment rarely sit back and
let things happen to them.
they went out and happen to things.”
Elinor Smith, American aviator

As I see it . . . . . . .

Make it happen or it happens to you

There are those go out and take control of their lives and make it happen and there are those who sit around and wait for things to happen.

For those who sit and wait for things to happen will watch their life go by them with very little input on what happens to them.

When we take control over our life we are proactive we take control over the events in our life. We can make adjustments when there needed. We have choice to select to take on a new task and we can decide when we want to pass.

To make it happen is a choice a choice to blaze our own trail and to take responsibility for our actions and the results.

Make it happen or it happens to you is making a choice to choose success and to make it happen.

Four Essentials of Persuasion

Motivational Power Quote

Four Essentials of Persuasion
“To be persuasive we must be believable.
To be believable we must be credible.
To be creditable, we must be truthful.”
Helmut Walters, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Four essentials of persuasion

Persuasion is the oxygen of life and business.

Without persuasion business crease to exist, relationships would not be formed and all likelihood we would still be living in a cave.

Persuasion is the gentle art of influencing a person in making a decision, to see a difference point of view and listening to another person’s opinion.

There is a big difference between persuasion and manipulation.

Persuasion is the gentle art of helping people going from point A to point B. A professional persuader creates win-win situations. Develop a strong business base for ongoing business relationships that leads to future referrals.

Manipulation creates a win - lose relationship and is a strong arm tactics used for the personal gain of the person applying the tactics. There is almost no business relationship no likely referrals.

The four essentials of persuasion

1.     We have to be believable

2.     We have to be seen as trustworthy

3.     We have to be seen as person of values

4.     The person has to believe that we have their best interest in our heart.

The person that masters the art of persuasion is able to help the people that they come into contract with. Many times helping people to make decision that they want to make but are unable to do without help.

The four essentials of persuasion is a soft selling skill with high impact.
