Staying in control of your emotions when you’re negotiating is critical element of successful negotiations.
The person that loses control of their emotions will lose control in the negotiating process.
Experienced negotiator will use tactics in an attempt to have you lose control. They will challenge your personally, your ability and your position in the negotiations. Remain focused on the big picture not the opinion of the other person.
They are employing a negotiating tactic to have you lose control of your emotions and giving and advance in the negotiations.
Focus on the issues and not the people in the negotiating process.
The people that can stay in control of their emotions are in the power position in the negotiations.
Control your emotions when you're negotiating and you will remain in control of the negotiating process.
