Motivational Power Quote
Those That Live In the Spin Zone –
Die By the Spin
“Making a decision usually means taking
one of two roads.
One is doing the right thing. To take
the other road, you have to
sit back a spin a story around the
decision or action you are
taking. If you find yourself thinking up
an elaborate justification
for what you are doing, you are not
doing the right thing.”
Wayne Sales, CEO Canadian Tire Corp
As I see it . . . . . . .
Those that live in the spin zone – die
by the spin
We meet spin makers in every walk of
life and profession . . . . and they may tell a great story when you first meet
them. But the longer you know them the more you will realize that they are
self-serving and someone that can’t be trusted.
The spin makers take the road of least
resistance and the one that will offer them personal gain even when it’s at the
expense of other people.
When the spin maker makes a bad decision
. . . . they look at it as someone else’s problem and will resort to blame,
denial and misdirection to make themselves look good.
As business professionals you need to
steer a wide berth away from a spin maker . . . . and not to get caught up in
their web of tails and untruths.
Those that live in the spin zone – die
by the spin . . . . It’s only a matter of time until their ship sinks.
