The Pressure of Adversity

The Pressure of Adversity
“The pressure of adversity will lift some people to great
heights to go on and break records . . . . while
other people will break under the pressure
of adversity.
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
The pressure of adversity . . . .

The pressure of adversity will cause some people to go on to break records . . . . and go on to great heights . . . .  While other people, will break under the pressure of their adversity.

Adversity tests a person.

Adversity propels some people to greatness and success . . . . and others to inaction.

In facing adversity your belief system will determine your attitude in adverse situations . . . . and how you respond to it. The person that believes in themselves . . . . and their ability will be proactive in working through the adversities.

Your attitude . . . . and your actions in adverse situations will determine if you go on to break records . . . . or you are broken.

The pressure of adversity will test you . . . . You have a choice on how you respond to the test . . . . and in the direction that your life moves in.

The Measure of a Person

The Measure of a Person
“The measure of a man is what he does with power.”
Plato, Greek Philosopher and Mathematician

As I see it . . . . . . . .
The measure of a person

The measure of person is not where they stand in the good times of comfort and convenience . . . . But in where they stand in the times of adversity.

A person builds their character when they stand strong in the winds of change . . . . challenge . . . . and controversy.

The measure of a person . . . . is in how they handle their successes . . . . and in how they handle a setbacks.

The measure of a person . . . . is in how they handle  the power that they have in life.

The measure of a person . . . . is in how they treat people . . . . and in their relationships.

The measure of a person . . . . is a mirror image of the message that they project.

Your Faith is Your Strength

Your Faith is Your Strength
“All the strength and force of man
comes from his faith in things unseen.
He who believes is strong;
he who doubts is weak.
strong convictions precede great action.”
James Freeman Clarke, Author, Unitarian Minister

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Your faith is your strength

Your faith becomes the foundation of the type of life you live and the path that you follow in your life. Your faith will be built on both tangible and things unseen. The strength of your faith becomes your convictions and those convictions will determine the size of your actions and the size of your life.

Higher levels of success will be achieved by those who have faith in themselves and will act with confidence and certainty.

Build your faith on bedrock and your faith will withstand the winds of adversity.

Deeply rooted faith will become the cornerstone of your career and your faith becomes your strength to take into the winner’s circle of life.

Against The Wind

Against The Wind
“When everything seems to be going against you, remember that
the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”
Henry Ford, Founder of the Ford Motor Company

As I see it . . . . . . .

Against the wind

It would be nice to have the wind at our through-out our success journey . . . . But there will be times that you will be walking into the wind.

As Henry Ford said . . . . “an airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”

Here’s the key . . . . when your facing adversity and the winds in your life . . . . use the adversity and the wind to lift you.

The key to your long term success is to adapt to the conditions that your facing . . . . and to make the most out of the condition in your life.

The Ability to Adjust

Motivational Power Quote

The Ability to Adjust
“Life is never so bad at its worst that is impossible to live; it is
never so good at its best that it is easy to live.”
Anonymous

As I see it . . . . . . .

The ability to adjust

Life is not static . . . . life is active and in a constant state of change.

For those who become rigid in their thinking . . . . will build a wall of inflexible thinking around them . . . . and will lose the ability to adjust to the changing conditions in their lives.

Having the ability to adjust . . . . keeps you flexible in your thinking under changing conditions. It will allow you to look at the changing conditions as a big picture and adjust to the new conditions. You will be able to seek out the solutions . . . . and the opportunities that change offers.

There are times that you have to stand strong in the face of adversity . . . .  and there are times you will need the ability to adjust.

Learning to adjust takes a great deal of courage . . . .

The ability to adjust . . . . is a personal strength in your thinking to adjust to the changing conditions in your life and to make the most of them.

A Valuable Lesson From Nature

Motivational Power Quote

A Valuable Lesson From Nature
“Nature always takes her time. Great oaks don’t become
great overnight, they also lose a lot of leaves, branches and
bark in the process of becoming great.”
Andrew Matthews, Best Selling International Author
and Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

A valuable lesson from nature

A great oak doesn’t grow to its full spender in a day . . . . what start out as tiny acorn grows inch by inch, day by day . . . . and takes many years to mature.

The great oak to grow to its full maturity has to put down deep roots in order to weather the storms of life and the winds of adversity. Without deep roots the tree will fall under the pressures it encounters.

Our careers start out the same way as the as a great oak tree . . . . they both start as a tiny acorn. Our acorn is in the vision that we have for our life. Our vision has to be deeply rooted in our values . . . .to withstand the pressures from our business.

Over time you will encounter many storms that can threaten your business . . . . and having your values deeply rooted will give satiability. It will also give you the strength . . . . to remain standing in adversity and keep you moving forward.

As with the great oak tree . . . . you have to give your business the time to grow and mature . . . .

A valuable lesson from nature . . . . is to put down deep roots and give your business the time to grow to its full potential.

Motivational Power Quote

Where Do You Stand?

the moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands
at times of challenge and controversy.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1929 – 1968, Clergyman and Prominent Leader of the Civil Rights Movement

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Where do you stand?

A person builds their character in the times of adversity and controversy . . . . When they stand strong in the face of the winds of his challenges with the resolve to seek solutions and not cave to the pressure.

Your true strengths come to the surface in the challenging times in your life and will guide you and your principals.

The ultimate measure of a person . . . . . . . is found in how they respond to the adversity and controversy that he faces in his life.

We Are Born to Achieve Greatness

Motivational Power Quote

We Are Born to Achieve Greatness
“There comes a special moment in everyone’s life;
a moment for which that person was born.
That special opportunity, when he seizes it,
will his mission a mission for which he is uniquely qualified.
In that moment, he finds greatness.
It his finest hour.”
Sir Winston Churchill, British Prime Minster

As I see it . . . . . . .

We are born to achieve greatness

You are unique a person and within that uniqueness you have the spark of greatness within you. And that greatness represents difference things to difference people, but that greatness is there within you.

As you travel the pathway of your life you will intersect with a special moment and in that moment your life can change and in that moment you have the capacity to change the life of other people.
It that moment we may elect to take a high road to what’s right and in that moment it can change the way people look at you and they can see your true image and character.

You could find your special moment in reaching out to a child and in that moment we can impact that child’s life, much like teachers do in the classroom. A child’s life can be changed in a moment by a caring person and that moment will be relived in the child throughout their life.

In Winston Churchill case he emerged as a leader and as a pillar of strength in Great Britton during their darkest hour and in great adversity.
You will never know when that special moment will enter your life but it will. So many times we will we not know the impact on the moment when it happens.

You where born to achieve greatness and you will have that moment in your life.
