Motivational Power Quote

Goals Give You a Target to Aim for
“The trouble with not having a goal is that you can spend you
life up and down the field and never scoring.”
Bill Copeland, American Poet, Author and Historian

As I see it . . . . . . .

Goals give you a target to aim for

A goal can big small . . . . or it can be big  . . . . but above all goals give you a target to aim for.

With goals your activities have a purpose . . . . and creates a target for you to aim at with your efforts. The clearer your goals become the more focused your efforts become . . . . greatly enhancing your ability to achieve your desired outcome.

Clearly written goals will keep you centered on your target . . . . and minimize you drifting off course. Your goals also will keep you moving in the direction of your target and goals.

Goals may not make your success journey go faster . . . . What it will do it get you from point A to point B with fewer distractions . . . . making far better use of your time . . . . your energy . . . . and your resources to reach your objectives.

Goals give you a target to aim for . . . . and for your to measure you forward progress on your success journey.

Make Your Marketing Interesting

Motivational Power Quote

Make Your Marketing Interesting
“You must make the product interesting not just make the ad
different. And that’s too many of the copywriters in America
today don’t yet understand.”
Rooser Reeves 1910 – 1984, American Advertising Executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

Make your marketing interesting

Unless your marketing connects with your target market . . . . it will have very little impact on them or in creating an interest in them using your product or services.

Make your marketing interesting . . . . Catch the attention of your target audience and appeal to their interests.

Interesting marketing stops a person long enough to look at the marketing and to absorb your marketing message. When the marketing massage doesn’t interest the person . . . . they will quickly move pass it without making a lasting impression.

Interesting marketing is based on understanding your target audience, what interests them . . . . and creating a marketing program around filling their needs and motivations.

See your marketing program through the eyes of your target audience and ask yourself is it interesting.

Make your marketing interesting . . . . to your target audience and your target audience will become interested in your produce and services.

Don’t Overlook the Obvious and Simple

Motivational Power Quote

Don’t Overlook the Obvious and  Simple
“An amazing thing, the human brain, is capable to understanding incredibly complex and intricate concepts. Yet at times unable to recognize the obvious and simple.”
Jay Abraham, Marketing Expert

As I see it . . . . . . .

Don’t overlook the obvious and simple

Many times when we’re working our way through a challenging condition we will go to the complex . . . . and overlook the obvious and the simple.

Overcoming a challenging condition . . . . starts with a process of elimination . . . . First eliminate the obvious and simple and you will find that frequently the answer to the challenging conditions will be found in the obvious and simple elements of the condition.

It’s easy to fall into a trap to look for the complexity of a condition . . . . and to look pass the solution.

When your facing a challenging condition . . . . don’t overlook the obvious and simple solution . . . . for the answer to the condition may be right in front of you.

What’s Important to You?

Motivational Power Quote

What’s Important to You?
“Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are
going. Rather than always focusing in what’s urgent learn to
focus on what’s really important.”
Stephen R. Covey 1932 – 2012, Educator, Author, Businessman,
Keynote Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

What’s important to you?

There’s very important question to ask yourself . . . . at the start of your day.

Ask yourself what will I have to do today that’s important to . . . . me to move closer to achieve my goals and to live my dreams.

Next question is to ask yourself . . . . are they on your to do list?

Focusing on doing what’s important . . . . keeps you centered on your priorities and what important to you. Without that focus you can drift off course in a blink of an eye . . . . and find yourself majoring in the minors and wasting a lot of your time with very little return for your efforts.

There is no straight line to success . . . . but the straightest line comes in doing what’s important to you . . . . to reach and achieve your objectives.

It’s What You Do With an Opportunity

Motivational Power Quote

It’s What You Do With an Opportunity
“Great opportunities to help others seldom come but small
one surround us every day.”
Sally Koch, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s what you do with an opportunity

You can wait for the big opportunity . . . .

Or you take the small opportunities that you find . . . . and maximize them.

An opportunity that you’re waiting for creates no added value to your life or to your success journey. You may wait for years for The Big opportunity to come along while you let all the small ones go by.

When you maximize your small opportunities you’re . . . . creating stepping stones to your next opportunity. In time your small opportunities that you worked and creating stepping stones with accumulate and your accumulated small successes make . . . . a big difference on your success journey.

You build forward momentum with your successes . . . .

It’s not the size of the opportunity . . . . it’s what you do with an opportunity that makes the difference. A series of small successes creates forward momentum and moves you forward on your success journey.

Explore – Dream - Discover

Motivational Power Quote

Explore – Dream - Discover
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the
things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw
off the bowline. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade
winds in your sales. Explore. Dream, Discover.”
Mark Twain 1835 – 1910, American Humorist, Writer, Lecturer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Explore – Dream – Discover

Push away from your comfort zone and set sail to explore – dream – discover the opportunities that await you.

What you seek . . . . you will find. But what you’re seeking is outside of your comfort zone. Set your sails to leave your comfort zone behind you and you will have a whole new world to explore.

What you dream about . . . . can be yours. When you turn your dreams into written goals . . . . create a plan of action to achieve your goals . . . . and take massive action to apply your plan to successfully create the desired results.

You will discover that . . . . your possibilities become unlimited when you step out of your comfort zone . . . . and move forward with the heart of an explorer . . . . with clearly defined written goals.

To explore – dream – discover you will have to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone and reach for the possibility zone.

To Get What You Never Had

Motivational Power Quote

To Get What You Never Had
“If you want something you never had, then do something
you never did.”
Nossrat Peseschkian 1933 – 2010, M.D. Doctor of Medicine,
Professor

As I see it . . . . . . .

To get what you never had

We all have something in our dreams . . . . or goals that we would like to get . . . . acquire . . . . achieve . . . . accomplish . . . . or earn.

Turn it into a must have in your life . . . . and pursue it with the determination to bring it into your life.

A must have in your life brings a clear focus on what you want . . . . and that focus turns the must have into a goal with the top of the mind awareness to get it.

To get what you want . . . . you are going to have to stretch your thinking to find a way to remain focused on it until you achieve it.

To get what you never had . . . . you will have to acquire the skills and sharpen your current skills to a razor sharp edge to be in the position to successfully get what you want.

Visualize What You Really Want

Motivational Power Quote

Visualize What You Really Want
“Make sure you visualize what you really want, not what someone
else wants for you.”
Jerry Gillies, Former NBC Newsman, Workshop Leader,
Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Visualize what YOU really want

The future is you’re to create . . . . but only You can determine what that vision is for yourself. You will meet people on your life’s journey that will become part of your vision of the future and they will become part of your journey.

But when it comes right down to it you have to visualize what you really want.

I meet many people who harbor resentment and anger . . . . because they have compromised their vision for their future to follow what someone else’s idea of their future should be.

There is always a risk in following your vision for the future . . . . however there is also a risk in following someone else’s vision for you.

Here’s the big difference when you follow your vision for the future . . . . you own it, you buy into it and your responsible for the outcome. Then when your following someone else’s vision for you . . . . and your life.

YOU greatly increase the chances of successfully achieving your vision for your future . . . . because you buy into it and you’re taking the personal responsibility for your results.

Visualize what you really want . . . . and go after it with a focused effort and determination.

Believe it Can be Done

Motivational Power Quote

Believe it Can be Done
“Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done,
really believe, your mind will find ways to do it. Believing a
solution paves the way to solution.”
Dr. David Joseph Schwartz, Businessman, Motivational Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Believe it can be done

What you truly believe you can do . . . . you will find the way to do it and get it done successfully.

Your mind is amazing . . . . and similar to a computer, you can program it with a massive amount of information. You can run it on command and at high speed. The key is what information you are programming into your thoughts and mind.

How you program your mind and what your beliefs are you program into your mind is going to be played back to you . . . . Your actions will become a direct reflection of your thoughts.

A positive thinker . . . . programs their mind to think in terms of the positive, and with the unlimited beliefs of what they CAN do.

A negative thinker’s . . . . mind in programmed with limited beliefs and on what they CAN’T do.

Believe it can be done . . . . programs your mind to think in the positive and in finding solutions. You will get far more done and done successfully with an attitude of positive beliefs. Believe it and achieve it.

Happiness is a Set of Attitudes

Motivational Power Quote

Happiness is a Set of Attitudes
“A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances,
but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.”
Hugh Downs, American Broadcaster, TV Host, News Anchor,
TV Producer, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Happiness is a set of attitudes

Your attitude affects many areas of your life . . . . With a positive attitude you will go into your day or a new task with an attitude of positive expectations.

A person with a negative outlook goes into their day with negative expectations . . . . and they seem to move in the direction to create a reality of negative results.

Happiness is a set of attitudes . . . and your attitude sets your expectations and greatly influences your outcomes.

Focus your thinking on the positive . . . . and you will create a mental pathway to achieving successful results.

Your attitude affects your thinking . . . . your thinking will affects your actions . . . . and your actions affects the outcome of your effects.

Happiness comes from within . . . .  and happiness is a set of attitudes that are under your control.

Customers Buy the Sizzle

Motivational Power Quote

Customers Buy the Sizzle
“Facts tell; stories sell!”
Anonymous

As I see it . . . . . . .

Customers buy the sizzle

When you tell the customer how it works . . . . your appealing to their logic.

When you tell a story on the benefits it will have a positive impact on their life  . . . . and how they will enjoy it  . . . . your customer is buying the sizzle.

About 15% of the American public will buy the logic . . . . 85% will buy the sizzle.

You have to explain the facts to the customers . . . . and the benefits that facts will have on their life. But when everything is said and done they want the sizzle.

The sale and purchase of real estate is an emotion endeavor for your customers. Your customers will buy with their emotions and later justify it through their logic.

When the customers becomes emotionally involved with what they’re looking at . . . . that emotion has an enormously impact on them and they will buy what their looking at.

Customers buy the sizzle . . . . and that sizzle is an emotional step in the sales process. The real estate professional that creates that sizzle creates a stepping stone to the sale.

Looking for Hoopholes

Motivational Power Quote

Looking for Loopholes
“I have spent a lot of time searching though the bible for loopholes.”
W.C. Fields 1880 – 1946, American Comedian, Actor,
Juggler and Writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Looking for loopholes

There are those who work hard to find a way . . . . and they are the ones that work hard to get things done. As a result they create far more successful outcomes.

There are those that when they need answers . . . . will dodge the question and look for the loopholes . . . . or try to deflect the question to someone else.

There are real estate professionals that follow the Code of Ethics . . . . and standout as a professional.

There are those who will try to dodge the Code of Ethics . . . . they may get away with for a while. But in the long run their time is misspent in trying to dodge the Code of Ethics ratter then in investing their time in following the Code of Ethics and in their customer’s best interests.

There are those who take the high road and succeed . . . . and there are those who waste their life looking for loopholes.

had – every day I’m learning something new.”
Sir Richard Branson: British Business Magnate, Founder and Chairman of Virgin of more than 400 companies

As I see it . . . . . . .

Keep challenging yourself

It’s easy to fall into the status quo . . . . of doing what you have always been doing. Your in a routine . . . . . it’s in your comfort zone  and in many cases you don’t really have to give much thought to a number of the things in your daily  routine.

Continue to do what you always done . . . . will at best get you more of what you been getting.

Turning a Mistake Into an Opportunity

Motivational Power Quote

Turning a Mistake Into an Opportunity
A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes,
smart enough to profit from them,
and strong enough to correct them.”
John C. Maxwell, Leadership Expert and Author

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Turning a mistake into an opportunity

Mistakes by their nature are misunderstood and can become . . . . the source of massive stress in a person’s life. A mistake can derail one person’s success journey . . . . and propel another person to greater heights.

The difference between the two is a person’s perception of mistakes . . . . and how they respond to them.

There is an old saying that the only people that are longer making mistakes are those in the cemetery . . . . and in reality the statement isn’t true. The person that fears making a mistake . . . . and doesn’t extend themselves to try is essentially making a mistake. They have made the mistake of failing to try . . . . or to engage life to reach their full potential out of the fear of making a mistake.

The fact is that people will make mistakes. Anyone who’s working hard to succeed will make mistakes . . . . as a result of stretching their limits to succeed. No productive person will purposely sets out to make a mistake . . . . the mistakes happen as a bi-product of trying to succeed.

Five steps that can turn a mistake into an opportunity:

1.     Admit the mistake – don’t make excuses; don’t try to blame someone or the circumstances for the mistake. Take the personal responsibility for the mistake and the solution.  Once you admit the mistake your time becomes productive in seeking the solutions and not being wasted in the blame game. Admitting the mistake takes courage and move in the direction of resolution.

2.     It in the attitude – your attitude will determine how you see the mistake and how you approach the issue. Look at the mistake through the eyes of what is possible and you will not only see the solution you will also see the opportunity.

3.     Resolve the mistake – mistakes need to be resolved. The longer a mistake goes unattended the more damage it can do. Unattended mistakes have a life of their own and can grow out of control. When a mistake happens make the commitment to resolve the issue as quickly as possible with the best solution possible.

4.     Learn from the mistake – with a mistake comes a life lesson. Learn how to avoid the mistake in the future. Take the positive lessons from the mistakes and learn how to apply them in the future to enhance your success journey. The greatest lesson from a mistake is to have an open mind and be receptive to learning and growing as a person.

5.     Turn the mistake in an opportunity – a mistake is a condition that can be used as a spring board to opportunity. In many cases when people are faced with dealing with a mistake they withdraw from the issue that in itself compounds the mistakes. Your attitude will determine how we deal with a mistake. With a possibility attitude you will see the mistake as a springboard to opportunity. Not only will you successfully work your way through the mistake . . . . but when you emerge from the mistake will have found the opportunity.

The five steps to turn a mistake into an opportunity is a systematic approach to successfully work your way through a mistake and to find the opportunity in the process.

Turning a mistake into an opportunity . . . . is a proactive business choice.

There’s a Big Difference Between Success and Happiness

Motivational Power Quote

There’s a Big Difference Between Success and Happiness
“Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.”
Dave Gardner, One of the Three Founders of Motley Fool

As I see it . . . . . . .

There’s a big difference between success and happiness

Success and happiness have difference meaning to difference people.

Drivers put success ahead of their family . . . . in a particular example.

A young businessman started out without much money and was driven to become successful he worked hard and long hours which left him little time for his wife and family.

His days flew by and grew into years and the day came that one by one his children when off to college. In their absence he soon found out the hard way that he didn’t know is wife.

When his children graduated from collage his children scattered around the country and had very little contract with the father that they never really knew.

Another young man had a driving desire to become successful.

He worked hard and long hours . . . . but he always made time for his family. There was date night with his wife the birthdays with the children and many game and events that he attended along with his wife.

The children grew up with a success father that had quality time to be part of their life. When the children went off to college he enjoyed the extra time with his wife.

Both businessmen reached their goal to become successful . . . . but only one found happiness in their life.

There is a big difference between success and happiness . . . . if want both you have to know who and what are really important to you . . . . and at having both in your life is a choice.

A Matter of Choice

Motivational Power Quote

A Matter of Choice
“Destiny is not a matter of chance; but a matter of choice.
It’s is not a thing to be waited for. It is a thing to be achieved.”
William Jennings Bryan 1860 – 1913, Former Secretary of State

As I see it . . . . . . .

A matter of choice

The path that you’re traveling on your success journey . . . . is a matter of choice.

The way you treat people . . . . is a matter of choice.

The way people treat you . . . . is a matter of choice.

The career that you have chosen . . . . is a matter of choice.

The level of success that you have achieved . . . . is a matter of choice.

When it comes right down to it where you are today . . . . is a matter of choice.

There many things that we have done in our life that we would like to change . . . . You’re not able to go back in time and change the past.

But you can go forward and change your future . . . . and what your future looks like . . . .  is a matter of choice.

You Will Earn What You Believe You Will

Motivational Power Quote

You Will Earn What You Believe You Will
“You can never earn in the outside world be more than you earn
in your own mind.”
Brian Tracy, Motivational Speaker and Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

You will earn what you believe you will

What you see in your thoughts becomes your reality . . . .

What you believe your can do . . . . you will.

What you believe, that you’re not able to do . . . . you will avoid or not attempt to do without ever discovering your full potential.

You will earn what you believe you will . . . . The only ceiling in your earning ability is the limits that you set in your thinking.

With self-limiting beliefs you will create . . . . an artificial ceiling for yourself and in the expectations for what your future will become.

Be a possibility thinker . . . . and think in terms of unlimited possibilities.

You will earn what you believe you will . . . .  the first step in your financial success starts in your beliefs . . . . the second step is to create a goal for what you want to achieve. . . . the third step is to create a plan to achieve it . . . . and the fourth step is to pursue your beliefs with passion and determination. Last but least prepare yourself success.

It Takes More Than Talent to Become a Winner

Motivational Power Quote

It Takes More Than Talent to Become a Winner
“A winner is someone who recognizes his God given talent,
works his tail off to develop them into skills and uses
these skills to accomplish his goals.”
Larry Bird, Basketball Player, Coach and
General Manager

As I see it . . . . . . .

It takes more than talent to become a winner

Everyone is born with talent . . . . it’s not the amount of talent that your born with . . . . It’s what you do with your natural talent that either gets you into the winner’s circle of life . . . . or has you standing on the outside looking in.

Successful people in every walk of life takes their God given talent and works hard to develop their talent to get the most out of it.

When you combine your natural talent and continuously work on it and develop it . . . . It will grow and you will bring out the best in yourself.

Winning make a commitment of time, hard work and determination to become the best at what they do. Winners push hard and continually focus on the big picture . . . . and to make the extra effort to get into the winners circle.

It takes more than talent to become a winner . . . . it takes hard work and remaining focusing on achieving your goals.

A Stortage of Listeners

Motivational Power Quote

A Shortage of Listeners
“It seems rather incongruous that in society of super sophisticated communications, we often suffer from a shortage of listeners.”
Erma Bombeck 1927 – 1996, American Humorist

As I see it . . . . . . .

A shortage of listeners

Everyone wants to talk and be heard . . . . but there is a shortage of listeners.

The question is why?

Is there really a shortage of listeners?

Or is there shortage in the quality of what is being said?

If the speaker doesn’t understand their audience they will speak at the audience . . . . not to the audience and the audience will tune them out and not listen to speaker.

So is there a shortage of listeners? Or is it a shortage of the speakers understanding and motivation of the audience?

My guess in many cases is the speaker doesn’t understand their audience . . . . and doesn’t draw the audience into the conversation or the presentation.

The speaker misses the mark and turns off the audience . . . .

A shortage of listeners . . . . is a direct result of the speaker not engaging their audience.
