Motivational Power Quote
There’s a Big Difference Between
Success and Happiness
“Success is getting what you want;
happiness is wanting what you get.”
Dave Gardner, One of the Three Founders
of Motley Fool
As I see it . . . . . . .
There’s a big difference between success
and happiness
Success and happiness have difference meaning
to difference people.
Drivers put success ahead of their family
. . . . in a particular example.
A young businessman started out without
much money and was driven to become successful he worked hard and long hours
which left him little time for his wife and family.
His days flew by and grew into years and
the day came that one by one his children when off to college. In their absence
he soon found out the hard way that he didn’t know is wife.
When his children graduated from collage
his children scattered around the country and had very little contract with the
father that they never really knew.
Another young man had a driving desire
to become successful.
He worked hard and long hours . . . .
but he always made time for his family. There was date night with his wife the
birthdays with the children and many game and events that he attended along
with his wife.
The children grew up with a success
father that had quality time to be part of their life. When the children went
off to college he enjoyed the extra time with his wife.
Both businessmen reached their goal to
become successful . . . . but only one found happiness in their life.
There is a big difference between
success and happiness . . . . if want both you have to know who and what are
really important to you . . . . and at having both in your life is a choice.
