Innovation is a Process

Innovation is a Process
“Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best
to admit them quickly and get on with improving
your other innovations.”
Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011, Entrepreneur, Marketer, Inventor,
Co-Founder of Apple, Chairman and CEO of Apple Inc

As I see it . . . . . . .

Innovation is a process

When you innovate you will be thinking out of the box . . . . using your creative talents to find the answers. Also an innovator will push their limits to create the breakthrough.

An innovator lives on the edge . . . . and on that edge they will make mistakes.

Mistakes are part of the growth cycle in life . . . . when your stretching yourself forward mistakes will happen.

When you make a mistake . . . . admit as quickly as possible. Look for the solutions to the mistake . . . . implement the solutions . . . . solve the condition . . . . and move pass it as soon as possible.

The key is admitting the mistake and focusing on the solutions and you are investing your time in resolving the mistake and putting the mistake behind you.

Innovation is a process . . . . and in that process there will be mistakes. Innovator . . . . admit their mistake . . . . find a solution  . . . . and move on.

Innovation - Seeing and Thinking Out of the Box

Innovation - Seeing and Thinking Out of the Box
“Companies have too many experts who block innovation.
True innovation really comes from
perpendicular thinking.”
Peter Diamandis, American Engineer , Entrepreneur
and Technology Visionary

As I see it . . . . . . .

Innovation – seeing and thinking out of the box

When you look at the innovation that has taken place over the last century . . . . and look at the people behind it they sharing a common trait.

They were out of the box thinkers . . . .  and they looked at things differently. I also believe they had a vision . . . . of what could be and asked . . . . the question of HOW. . . . and challenged themselves to FIND A WAY.

The successful business professionals are innovators . . . . They are out of the box thinkers . . . . and they look for solutions.

They challenge themselves and ask themselves “HOW” I can get it done successfully . . . . and they find a way to do it successfully.

Innovation is forward thinking . . . . and not looking at the way things have always been done . . . . as the only way to get things done. It’s looking at ways to be more efficient and on the cutting edge of your profession.

Innovation – Seeing and thinking out of the box . . . . is a constant state of looking to improve what your doing and providing greater value to the market as a result of your innovation.

Customers Are Looking For Innovation

Motivational Power Quote

Customers Are Looking For Innovation
“Doing the things we do now and doing them better, cheaper
and faster take us so far. But it will not take us far enough.
We’re going to have to do new things in new ways.”
Peter Bonfired, British CEO of British Telecom

As I see it . . . . . . .

Customers are looking for innovation

People want what’s new and cutting edge. A good example of this is the iPhone . . . . when a new model comes out the preorders are overwhelming . There’s a line of customers wrapped around the mall waiting to pick up their new iPhone.

Customers will wait in line for an iPhone for hours and won’t walk across the street for old or outdated technology.

The real estate business is in the same state of change . . . . customers want innovation . . . . not the same old same old stuff.

Customers are not looking for fluff . . . . they want the real stuff.

When they list their home they want it sold . . . . when you’re working a buyer they want the transaction  to go smooth and they both want a real estate professional that can deliver the goods.

Customers are looking for innervations . . . . in the real estate transaction.

Motivational Power Quote

marketing and innovation.”
Peter F. Drucker, business expert

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Business lessons from Apple Computer

Steve Jobs has build Apple’s brand on two basic business principals innovation and marketing.

Apple Computer creates cutting edge product innovation that their customers readily embrace, freely recommend and buy.

As a result of their product innovation Apple Computer has created generations of raving fans and repeat business.

If you have visited an Apple computer store in a shopping center or a mall you see one of the busiest stores in the shopping center or in the model.

Apple Computer attracts people into their stores like a magnet and many times when you walk into store its standing room only.

The Apple Computer’s customers are early adapters. As they buy the new product the Apple customers create buzz for the product and free marketing for Apple and their innovated products.

Much of Apple Computer’s success has been created by world of mouth endorsements and their products being sold by world of mouth.

Apples’ marketing is not an over the tops expensive marketing program, its grass rooted that as no direct cost to the company.

Apples customers have freely created buzz marketing for the company as a result of Apple’s innovational products and the customer overall satisfaction of the products.

Similar products to Apple sell for far less, but the people keep returning to Apple to buy their innovated products.

The business lessons from apple computer is their cutting edge innovation creates satisfied customers. When Apple combines their innovation with satisfied customers Apple creates raving fans.
