Stretch Your Mind

Stretch Your Mind
“What we think determines what happens to us, so if we want
to change our lives, we need to stretch our minds.”
Dr. Wayne Dyer, American Self-Help Author and
Motivational Speaker

 As I see it . . . . . . .

Stretch your mind

What you think becomes the fuel to propel into your future.

What you think . . . . and how you think will determine if you stretch your mind forward with positive thinking. Or mire your mind in the mud of negative thinking.

When your stretching your mind with positive thinking . . . . your thinking becomes the basis to creating a full and productive life.

When your mind is in a state of negative thinking . . . . your thinking process will have tunnel vision. That negative thinking will block out positive thinking and become focused on the negatives in your life creating a downward spiral in your thinking and in your life.

You condition your mind to think . . . . stretch your mind to think in the positive and you will be able to push the negative thinking out of your life. It will take determination and hard work to do it . . . .with focused effort you will do it.

Stretch your mind . . . . and build the bridge to a productive future.

The Best Time to Solve a Problem

The Best Time to Solve a Problem
“Problem should be solved on the spot, as soon as they arise.
No frontline employee should have to wait for a
supervisor’s permission.”
Jan Carlzon, Swedish Businessman, Airline Executive

As I see it . . . . . . .

The best time to solve a problem

Problems won’t stay static . . . . When you wait to see what will happen with the problem or they are pushed aside they grow like weeds . . . . and soon become unruly and unmanageable.

The best time to solve a problem . . . . is on the spot and as soon as it happens.

A problem can grow out of hand very quickly when they’re not addressed. They can cause serious damage to a business or a reputation if they’re not properly addressed and solved.

As an unattended problem grows . . . . it will take far more time and effort to successfully resolve the problem then it would have taken to solve the problem on the spot.

Customers don’t want to wait for a problem to be resolved . . . .  they want to know your on top of it . . . . what your going to do . . . . and when it will be resolved.

The best time to solve a problem . . . . is on the spot before it grows out of hand. By solving the problem on the spot you’ll find that you will make far use of your time and resources to solve the problem then you would in chasing it.

The Truth Remains the Truth

The Truth Remains the Truth
“Fact’s have a cruel way of substituting, themselves for fancies.
There is nothing more remorseless, just as there is nothing
more helpful, than truth.”
William C. Redfield 1858 – 1932, Democratic Politician
from New York

As I see it . . . . . . .

The truth remains the truth

We have just gone through a very long and painful listening experience with a potential home seller.

Let me explain . . . .

With one of the companies that I’m providing consulting services for.  I recently went on the listing appointment with a new and emerging real estate professional with the company.

The sales professional was well prepared for the listing appointment and prepared an outstanding CMA for the home sellers.

The listing presentation was going smoothly has the real estate sales professional did an outstanding job in her presentation. She explained the benefits of listing with her and company and her marketing strategies to sell the home.

She was building a bond of rapport and trust with the home sellers and it showed in the commutations between the sales professional and the home sellers.

That all changed in a split second . . . . when it came around to pricing.

When the CMA was presented the veins in the neck of one of the sellers was so big they looked like they would explode and both sellers unloaded on the professional.

The home sellers told the sales professional the selling price was far too low. That she was pricing the home to sell fast to get a commission and had no interest in their needs.

The sales professional stayed very composed in very challenges conditions and listen to the home sellers . . . . and made notes on what the sellers where saying.

Once the sellers began to settle down . . . . she ask them if she could ask them a question? They replayed yes.

The sales professional asked . . . . what they felt the price should be? And they told her the price they had in mind. Then she asked them where they got the information about the price and they told off the internet and a couple of neighbors who have recently sold their home.

The profession then asked . . . . are there be questions other then the pricing that prevent them from listing the home her today? They said no.

She told out her i-pad and invested the next hour and half reviewing the MLS and the prices of the homes sold and the homes on the market.

After a long three hour listing appointment sales professional left with a saleable listing that sold in three weeks.

Here’s the key . . . . she was prepared . . . . she stayed professional . . . . she controlled her emotions . . . . she was patient . . . .  she listened . . . . she asked questions . . . .  and did not overreact.

The truth remains the truth about price . . . . but it’s the professional that can explain it properly that makes the difference.

Determination to Keep Pushing Forward

Determination to Keep Pushing Forward
“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you knock long
enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to
wake up somebody.”
Henry Waldsworth Longfellow 1807 – 1882
American Poet and Novelist

As I see it . . . . . . .

Determination to keep pushing forward

Are you determined to achieve your goals . . . . and to be successful?

Are you determined to keep knocking on the door . . . . until it opens?

Are you determined to push through your obstacles . . . . to reach your objectives?

Are you determined to pick yourself up after a failure . . . . and keep trying?

Are you determined to keep pushing forward . . . . through the storms in your life?

Are you determined not to become sidetracked . . . .  by your successes?

The determination to keep pushing forward . . . . is very interesting. Some people will lose focus of their long term objective by the challenges that they face. While other people become complacent by their successes.

In either case if they lose their determination to keep pushing forward they will lose the momentum on their success journey which can retail their career.

Your determination to keep pushing forward on your success journey? Becomes paramount to your long term success and in successfully achieving your goals.

A Belief is a Strong Motivator

A Belief is a Strong Motivator
“The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the
belief in a thing makes it happens.”
Frank Lloyd Wright 1867 – 1959, America Architect,
Interior Designer, Writer, and Educator

As I see it . . . . . . .

A belief is a strong motivator

A person’s belief becomes a focal point in their life.

When a person has a positive belief systems . . . . They are positive thinkers . . . . and they will create a positive expectations for their beliefs and work hard to achieve successful results.

The negative thinker . . . . lives there beliefs also. Their expectations are for a bad outcome and along the way they KNOW that things are not going to work so they back off on their effort. Then it seems that things turn just about how they thought they would turn out.

Amazing . . . . The person with the positive belief system seems to create an environment to live their beliefs . . . . and the person with negative beliefs lives in a negative world of beliefs and outcomes.

A belief is a strong motivator . . . . and your life will move in the direction of your beliefs. Keep your thinking positive . . . . and your beliefs will be in line with your positive thinking.

It’s What You Do That Makes the Difference

It’s What You Do That Makes the Difference
“Study while others are sleeping; work while others are loafing;
prepare while others are playing, and dream while
others are wishing.”
William Arthur Ward 1921 – 1994, Author

As I see it . . . . . . .

It’s what you do that makes the difference

Look inward, into yourself to do what has to be done to create successful results.

Measure your forward progress on your success journey against your goals.

Benchmark your activities in creating forward momentum . . . . to move you in the direction of your goals.

The key point is . . . . it’s what YOU DO that makes the difference.

Get a little bit better at what you do everyday . . . . Over time you will get a lot better and that will make a big difference in achieving your goals.

Make the extra effort . . . . and your extra effort will accumulate  and become a difference maker in your career.

Set lofty goals and stretch yourself to reach them.

It’s what you do that makes the difference . . . . strive to be the best you, that you can be and it will make a big difference on your success journey.

Innovation - Seeing and Thinking Out of the Box

Innovation - Seeing and Thinking Out of the Box
“Companies have too many experts who block innovation.
True innovation really comes from
perpendicular thinking.”
Peter Diamandis, American Engineer , Entrepreneur
and Technology Visionary

As I see it . . . . . . .

Innovation – seeing and thinking out of the box

When you look at the innovation that has taken place over the last century . . . . and look at the people behind it they sharing a common trait.

They were out of the box thinkers . . . .  and they looked at things differently. I also believe they had a vision . . . . of what could be and asked . . . . the question of HOW. . . . and challenged themselves to FIND A WAY.

The successful business professionals are innovators . . . . They are out of the box thinkers . . . . and they look for solutions.

They challenge themselves and ask themselves “HOW” I can get it done successfully . . . . and they find a way to do it successfully.

Innovation is forward thinking . . . . and not looking at the way things have always been done . . . . as the only way to get things done. It’s looking at ways to be more efficient and on the cutting edge of your profession.

Innovation – Seeing and thinking out of the box . . . . is a constant state of looking to improve what your doing and providing greater value to the market as a result of your innovation.
