Successful People Listen
“Most of the successful people I’ve know
do more listening
than talking.”
Bernard M. Baruch 1870 – 1965, American Financier,
Stock Investor, Philanthropist, Statesman,
Political Consultant
As I see it . . . . . . .
Successful people listen
The talker miss the real conversation
and more than likely will take themselves out of the business.
Business communication plays an
essential role in the exchange of information. It becomes a key element in
really understanding the person that you’re communicating with.
As you communicate with that person . .
. . you will build rapport with the person. That rapport will build a bridge to
mutual understanding and trust in the relationship.
Also by listening to a person your showing
respect for the person that’s speaking and an interest in what they are saying.
In that process they will share their
real motivation . . . . Their fears . . . . and give you all the information
that you will need to help them.
The talker is so busy talking . . . .
they have no clue on what the other person is really saying and why they’re
saying it.
Successful people listen . . . . their
way to a successful career of building successful and lasting business
relationships.
