The Purpose of Learning is Personal
Growth
“The purpose of learning is growth, and
our mind, unlike our
bodies, our mind can continue growing as
we continue to live.”
Mortimer Adler 1902 – 2001, American philosopher,
Educator, Author
As I see it . . . . . . .
The purpose of learning is personal
growth
Your mind is like a state of the art
computer . . . . there a massive amount of storage space for the input of
knowledge and data.
The data in your mind can be expanded at
any time you choose to expand it and drawn on at command.
Here’s
the key . . . .
Expanding your knowledge through
continuous learning keeps your mind active . . . . and you mind becomes like a sponge and
assorts the information and expands.
As you use your mind and continue to
learn . . . . your mind sorts the information and files it away . . . . and
becomes available to you on demand.
The purpose of learning is personal
growth . . . . the purpose of personal growth in to continually make you better
at what you do . . . . and in time you will master what it is that you do.
