Making the Right Decision

Making the Right Decision
“We will make many decisions in our lifetime. Some will be
good . . . . and there will be some that we would like
to have a do over on. The key is to make
the right decision.”
Lou Ludwig, Sales and Management Consultant,
Success Coach, Speaker, Trainer and Author

As I see it . . . . . . . .
Making the right decision

You make decisions every day . . . .

Some decisions are small . . . . and there are some decisions that have the capacity to change your life. The size and importance of the decisions are not as important as making the right decision . . . . and doing what is right.

There will be times that compromises will have to be made in making your decisions . . . . One compromise that never should be made . . . . is to compromise your values.

Making the right decision is rooted in your values . . . . follow your values and you will do what’s right . . . . and make the right decision.

time come into your life it passes at the same rate not

things in your life can be replaced.
Time is your greatest resource
and the value comes in how
you use it.”

The Most Valuable Things in Your Life

The Most Valuable Things in Your Life
“The most valuable things in life are not measured in monetary
terms. The really important things are not houses and lands,
stocks and bonds, automobiles and real estate, but
friendships, trust, confidence, empathy,
mercy, love and faith.”
Bertrand Russell V. Delong, Nazarene Minister

As I see it. . . . . . . .

The most valuable things in your life

When you look at the most valuable things in your life they are not the material things as they can be lost . . . .  replaced . . . . or done without.

Your family and friendships become priceless. Your relationships will become  a mirror of the way you treat other people . . . . and the way you live your life.

You will put down a solid foundation for a full life once you have faith in yourself . . . . Confidence in your actions . . . . and your life becomes a life of endless possibilities.

Material thing can be replaced . . . . and the things that are really most important to you  becomes priceless.

The most valuable things in your life . . . . are found in your relationships with the people who are most important to you . . . . and in having faith in yourself.

Know When to Say NO

Know When to Say NO
“It comes from say no to 1,000 things to make sure we don’t get
on the wrong track or try to do too much. We’re always
thinking about new markets we could enter, but it’s
only by say no that you can concentrate on things
that are really important.”
Steve Job 1955 – 2011, American Entrepreneur, Marketer,
Inventor, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Apple Inc

As I see it . . . . . . .

Know when to say NO

The more you do . . . . the more your asked to do.

There’s nothing wrong with being a doer and in having a full plate.

The key is to know what’s important to do.

Don’t get caught up in doing the trivial . . . . and the busy work  that will have no positive impact on your success journey or move you closer to your goals.

There is a big difference between being busy . . . .  and being productive.

To know when to say NO . . . . is to know what’s important to move you in the direction to achieve your goals. Also by saying NO to take control of your time and become far more productive in your daily activities

When the Boat is Constantly Leaking

When the Boat is Constantly Leaking
“Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy
devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive
than energy devoted to patching leaks.”
Warren Buffett, Berkshire Hathaway. CEO

As I see it . . . . . . .

When the boat is constantly leaking

When the boat is constantly leaking . . . . you have to make a choice. Do you continue to invest your time and energy in a boat that will be in the same state after all your effort?

Or is it time to get into a new boat and redirect your time and energy in doing what’s important to move you forward?

If you’re investing a massive amount of time and energy for minimal results you reached a point . . . . to where a change is needed.

Refocus your time and energy on doing the things that are most important for you to reach your goals . . . . and move the trivial activities aside.

When you refocus you will find yourself becoming more productive . . . . Where your making far better use of your time . . . . and you will find yourself being energized.

When the boat is constantly leaking . . . . make the decision to do what’s important for you and your future.

A New Year Commitment

A New Year Commitment
“A New Year resolution is something that
goes in one year and out the other.”
Author unknown

As I see it. . . . . . . .

A New Year commitment

People make a New Year Resolution many of which turn out to be a like to . . . .  a maybe . . . . I’ll get around to it . . . . if I can . . . . if only I had the time.

Most resolutions have a very short life expectancy . . . . they soon die . . . . and become forgotten.

What’s important to you?

What do want to accomplish?

What are your goals?

Make a written list of what you want to achieve in the coming year. Make a commitment to achieve successful closure on each item on your commitment list.

Make . . . . a New Year commitment . . . . and you have taken a giant step in creating a successful new year.

Busy Doing What?

Motivational Power Quote

Busy Doing What?
“Don’t mistake movement for achievement. It’s easy to get faked
out by being busy. The question is: busy doing what?”
Jim Rohn 1930 - 2009, American Entrepreneur, Author
And Motivational Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Busy doing what?

It happens to us all the time . . . . we are really busy and at times it seems overwhelming.

We skip lunch . . . . forget about event and get home exhausted. Have a million of calls to make and e-mails that have to be attended to. We all have gone through a day or days like that.

The question becomes . . . . busy doing what?

Fill your day with productive activities that play an important role in servicing your customers . . . . moving you in the direction of your goals . . . . and contributing to you long term success?

When your day is full productive activities . . . . your are in control of your time and investing it in creating successful outcomes in your life.

When you ask yourself busy doing what? You will focus your time and activity on doing what’s important . . . . and weed out the distracters and time wasters from your day.

The next time you’re involved in having “one of those days” ask the question . . . . busy doing what? The answer will redirect your thinking and efforts in doing what’s important.

The Real Secret of Success

Motivational Power Quote

The Real Secret of Success
“The miracle, or the power, that elevates the few is to be found in
their industry, application, and perseverance under the
prompting of a brave, determined spirit.”
Mark Twin 1835 – 1910, American Author, Humorist

As I see it . . . . . . .

The real secret of success

There are three common elements of success.

To achieve anything worthwhile in life you’re going to have to work for it. The level of your work that you’re willing to invest in achieving what you want you . . . . will become a mirror image of what you achieve.

Common element #1 . . . . is hard work

As the old story goes . . . . it’s not what you know . . . . it’s how you use it.

The proper application of your . . . .   success skills . . . . your knowledge . . . .  your attitude . . . . and your time greatly influences your outcome.

Common element #2 . . . .  application

What you consistently do will determine the direction that your success journey takes. Focus on the important activities that will have a positive impact on you and your success journey and you will create forward momentum.

Move forward with determination to achieve your goals . . . . and do it with a sense of urgency.

Common element #3 . . . . perseverance

The real secret of success . . . . is success is achieved one day at a time . . . . through your hard work . . . . through your application . . . . and through your perseverance.

What’s Important to You?

Motivational Power Quote

What’s Important to You?
“Where you are headed is more important than how fast you are
going. Rather than always focusing in what’s urgent learn to
focus on what’s really important.”
Stephen R. Covey 1932 – 2012, Educator, Author, Businessman,
Keynote Speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

What’s important to you?

There’s very important question to ask yourself . . . . at the start of your day.

Ask yourself what will I have to do today that’s important to . . . . me to move closer to achieve my goals and to live my dreams.

Next question is to ask yourself . . . . are they on your to do list?

Focusing on doing what’s important . . . . keeps you centered on your priorities and what important to you. Without that focus you can drift off course in a blink of an eye . . . . and find yourself majoring in the minors and wasting a lot of your time with very little return for your efforts.

There is no straight line to success . . . . but the straightest line comes in doing what’s important to you . . . . to reach and achieve your objectives.

Lost Forever

Motivational Power Quote

Lost Forever
“Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset two
golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward
is offered for they are gone forever.”
Horace Mann 1796 -1859, American Politician and Educator

As I see it . . . . . . .

Lost forever

Time can slip away . . . . and once it’s gone it’s lost forever.

You are blessed with 24 precious hours in your day to use in any way you please . . . . You can invest your day in positive activities that will bring value to your day and that will become the stepping stones to greater success in your future.

Or you can fritter away you time . . . . on busy work or putting off the important things that need to be done . . . . to sometime in the future.

Whatever your do with your day is a personal choice . . . . At the end of the day your time is lost forever never to return.

What will remain at the end of your day . . . . is the value of how you invested your time that day. A day invested in positive activities will be deposited into your annuity account. The days will accumulate and return long term value back to you.

A day where your time is wasted is lost forever . . . . A day invested in positive activities will return to you with dividends.

Are You on the List?

Motivational Power Quote

Are You on the List?
“Every day I get up and look through the Forbes
list of the richest people in America.
If I’m not there I go to work.”
Robert Orben, author, comic, magician, writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Are you on the list?

Interesting concept check to see if our name is on the Forbes richest people in America list and I it not off to work we go.

Well it looks like I’ll be working today.

Our goals may or may not include being on the Forbes richest people in America list.

Create your own list of what a successful life means to you.

Know what’s important to you?

Who are the important people in your life?

Do you have an attitude of gratitude for what you have?

Are you willing to work for what you want?

What does success mean to you?

Define what a happy full life is.

It’s your life and we only go this way one time.

Are you on the list of what you want your life to be? If you are great . . . If not what are you going to have to do to get on the list?

Do What’s Right

Do What's Right

We make decisions everyday, some small and some that can change people’s lives. The size and importance of our decisions are not as important as doing what is right.

When you have a choice between doing something fast or to don what’s right – do what’s right.
